Van Trip: Shenandoah National Parkway, Biking the C&O Canal & Urban Philadelphia Street Camping!

- Join us as we continue our summer 2021 van trip in our Travato GL. We leave the Blue Ridge Parkway behind in the rear view mirror and continue on to Skyline Drive. And then head back into civilization to Brunswick, MD for some biking along the C&O Canal to Harper's Fairy.
And then it's on to visit a dear friend in Philadelphia - where we street camp in 100+ degree weather.

I agree I like the Blue Ridge much better than Skyline drive. The driving is much easier and you get to enjoy the scenery more. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

We stayed at Loft Mountain about a year ago in early September. We really had a wonderful time. Ghost camping is real issue in the area where you were. We noticed it at Loft Mountain when we were there as well. Harpers Ferry is such a wonderful place to visit. We used to love visiting there when we were living in Pennsylvania many years ago. Sounds like you’ve had a wonderful trip so far.
Ghost camping? Had to look that one up - basically holding sites without using them? Not sure we encountered much of that / except for Big Meadow, most campgrounds we have been at have been fairly empty.
