You should find that thicker layers of paint are easier to dial in, they should give you a bigger range to hit in each colour if that makes sense you could try a fine roller and use poster paints ?
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing. I summarized for others to keep notes: 1. Start with 2 canvases (flat or stretched) 2. One coat of all 3 colors, sprayed both directions. Let dry for days 3. Load one canvas on the WeCreat. Add a Rectangle from the far left tabs. Click on Array, open Material Testing Array 4. Testing Array settings - POWER Max 100, Min 10, Column Number 10, Column Spacing 3, SPEED Max 600, Min 100, Num 6, Spacing 3 5. Place Array on the canvas, not taking up entire canvas (1/4 size or so, allowing you to re-run as necessary). Auto focus, click send 6. Run again, try - POWER Max 35, Min 10, Column 6, Column Spacing (adjust to taste), SPEED Max 140, Min 80, Num 6, Spacing (match) 7. Run again - POWER Max 20, Min 10, Column 4, Column Spacing (adjust to taste), SPEED Max 225, Min 150, Num 4, Spacing (match) 8. Set up to try image (inverted). Click Imgae on left tab. Upload .PNG. Size to fit (small). Click Filters (top next to Sharpness), select Invert, adjust Sharpness and Grayscale to taste. On right tab, set Power and Speed settings from test Array. If all looks good, load a full canvas and go! 9. TIP - Adjust Sharpness and Grayscale BEFORE inverting the image and burning
I want to say thank you very much. You are the first person that has shown how to do from start to finish. You have shown me how to use my WeCreat the way I have wanted to but had no clue how to make it happen. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for checking it out! Hopefully it warms up and I can get back to the bigger shop, but in the mean time, these smaller projects are fun to play with.
Yes, if you do even applications of paint to wood, you should be able to find a setting that just burns off the paint, without etching the wood underneath. Or you could go stronger if you wanted the wood darkened as well. Definitely something to play with.

Thanks for the tips. I’ve had good success with single colors and black but multi colors have been a little hit or miss. I’ll try some thicker layers.
We just got our wecrest order in. I plan to try this omg. I love it.
Give it a shot! These can be fun once you find the right paint and process for your liking.
Very nice video as usual! I’m thinking about trying this with a piece of artwork that my daughter painted.
Give it a go and have fun playing with the technique!

I don't see the invert feature in my options. Am I doing something we wrong?
Very nice work. I still haven’t bought a laser but I’m getting closer to doing it. I find them to be a better tool for me.
They are a useful tool depending on the work you want to do with them. Thanks for watching!
Video looks like 1950 commercial. Color strange.
But always good
Yeah different shop lights down there and the color balance was a bit off. But hopefully the process of doing this comes through.

I haven’t tried layering a canvas as yet. Thanks to your information I think I will try soon.
Give it a shot and play around with various colors. You can do even more layers for more variety as well!
very nice project, i`ll try it. thanks for sharing sir.

Another great video! Thanks Steve!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice video, Steve!
Thanks Jason!
Did you just use lightburn for the picture or do you use another program for editing
For this one I used the stock photo and then just used the tools in the WeCreat software to adjust it for the laser.
Curious, could you think you could do this technique with the spray paint on a piece of wood?

@@Vintauri Thanks! I’ll give it a try!
What material did you select?
The settings were based on the material tests and not a material default. The final image ended up using 20% power and 175mm/min at 100 line density.
@@Vintauri thank you.
