I think the reason why it comes across this way is because in the novel, they do switch and their love scenes are quite balanced. Also, they have a deeply passionate and sexual relationship where they openly communicate their wants + desires + fantasy to each other and will do what the other asks. They tamed down their love scenes quite a bit coz it's much more full on and explicit in the novel, including those from EP5. And they also cut out quite a few love scenes in EP6. They did leave out one important bit of detail from the novel, that Pleng is a virgin and Wan knows abt this. They had a conversation in the hospital abt Pleng's ex-boyfriend Wan protected her from and Pleng told Wan she had never slept with anyone and was glad she never slept with him coz he turned out to be a scoundrel and she was disgusted by him. If they had kept this detail in the series, it wld've shown much more how much Pleng loved Wan coz she truly gave herself completely to her.
Finally a GL with an actual believable love scene. Most realistic couple yet. No weird actions or awkward writing. The way they hold and touch each other is natural. Just a normal couple doing what actual lesbians/queer women do lol. Edit: Shout out to the intimacy coaches and directors. The girls obviously have natural chemistry but it takes a lot to shoot a scene so well. I am glad the writers of this show are being more realistic. Unfortunately a lot of the GL series just seem like a wattpad story on screen and are pretty cringe to watch. This was the opposite. Job very well done.

Their love scenes are already very tamed down from the novel and there are so many they cut some of them out. Especially their 2nd night together, that was cut out completely, after the 1st night which is the love scene your're referring to. Once Pleng said she was going to give herself to Wan, they have a very deeply passionate and sexual relationship and will openly communicate what they want the other to do according to their wants + desires + fantasy. Also, you saw in last week's EP how they were really into smelling and breathing each other in. They tamed down their love scenes a lot from the novel, including the scenes from EP5 last wk, coz they went a lot further and did much more in the novel they can't put it in the series. But their love scenes were still very well done for the show. Also, the way they shot the scenes last week, them, smelling and breathing each other in the intimate scenes, is because Pleng and Wan have always been turned on by each other's smell since they started falling in love with each other when they were 17. The point about it being short especially; there's another GL being released right now that seems to think longer love scenes makes them better, but actually, this show just totally embarrassed that one, and showed that a love scene doesn't need to be 5 mins long, it just needs to be good.

i think…HANDS DOWN LMSY has got one of the best love scenes in the gl world yet and not just love scene but amazing actresses, the chemistry between them and just overall plot and how the production team went about the novel. ofc each gl as their own uniqueness and appeal to them but as someone who has watched alot of gl’s, affair and LMSY are definitely up there and i hope they get the attention and love they deserve and another series soon!!
So after rewatching this, there is a moment when plenty says “when we became each other’s,” the look in WAN’s eyes is pure love. And that smile! Love this show, and these actresses really get into the nuance of these emotions.

I love the love scenes because they’re filled with passion-you don’t feel uncomfortable or turned off. Instead, you can sense the deep connection between the characters. The scenes are intimate but still feel wholesome, showing a beautiful expression of love.
Never in all my days have I seen a GL do back to back love scenes and do it THAT tastefully and THAT realistic. I felt like I shouldn’t have been watching! It took me AGES to make it past the first 4:50 seconds. I paused it at 1:33…then again at 2:09…and again 3:46. I feel like I just did some cardio. Hands down best couple chemistry, emotionally and physically. LMSY can really portray a range of emotions perfectly, from sadness to anger to lust to cuteness in the glimpse of an eye. Realistic wlw relationship! The intimacy keeps going over and over and over again until someone or both eventually get so tired they fall asleep.
They didn't go to sleep, their 1st night together, they made love from midnight till 6am the next morning and Wan went to work without any sleep. Then that 2nd night, even without sleep on their 1st night, they missed each other so much (so Pleng visited Wan at the hospital) and cldn't get enough of each other that Wan called Ek to get the night off for Pleng (she played piano at the hotel from 6pm to 10pm at night) so they could have sex. The 2nd night's love scenes from the novel were cut out from the series (they cut out quite a lot of love scenes or tamed them down a lot coz it'd be R-rated otherwise). That was when they actually talked abt the honeymoon in bed after making love.
Because they were both so 'hungry' for each other, Pleng said they shouldn't wear clothes at home and Wan said newly married couples need to go on a honeymoon so they could have a lot of sex and not put on any clothes. They tamed down their love scenes a lot from the novel, including the scenes from EP5 last wk, coz they went a lot further and did much more in the novel they can't put it in the series. But their love scenes were still very well done for the show. Also, the way they shot the scenes last week, them, smelling and breathing each other in the intimate scenes, is because Pleng and Wan have always been turned on by each other's smell since they started falling in love with each other when they were 17.
One detail they left out is that Pleng was still a virgin. Pleng told Wan this when she was in the hospital and they were talking abt Pleng's ex-boyfriend and she told Wan she'd never slept with anyone or with him and she was really glad she didn't give her virginity to a scoundrel like him.

The point about it being short especially; there's another GL being released right now that seems to think longer love scenes makes them better, but actually, this show just totally embarrassed that one, and showed that a love scene doesn't need to be 5 mins long, it just needs to be good.

"Let's talk here. What did we do wrong? Why are you so afraid of what others think? You love me, and I love you. Is that so terrible?" Wan Viva looked at a nearby nurse who was staring at us, causing the nurse to quickly look away.
"Dr. Wan is dating a woman. Is that clear?" Wan Viva announced boldly. The atmosphere around us grew tense, but then a nurse from a corner started to clap.
"That's great, Dr. Wan! I'm also dating a girl. Keep fighting!" She cheered and gave us her support.

i think…HANDS DOWN LMSY has got one of the best love scenes in the gl world yet and not just love scene but amazing actresses, the chemistry between them and just overall plot and how the production team went about the novel. ofc each gl as their own uniqueness and appeal to them but as someone who has watched alot of gl’s, affair and LMSY are definitely up there and i hope they get the attention and love they deserve and another series soon!!
So after rewatching this, there is a moment when plenty says “when we became each other’s,” the look in WAN’s eyes is pure love. And that smile!

This is the best love scene in GL for sure. The passion, the intensity, the sound design, lighting, chemistry everything’s just perfect. Kudos to LMSY and the director.
I love the love scenes because they’re filled with passion-you don’t feel uncomfortable or turned off. Instead, you can sense the deep connection between the characters. The scenes are intimate but still feel wholesome, showing a beautiful expression of love.

Hands down best couple chemistry, emotionally and physically. LMSY can really portray a range of emotions perfectly, from sadness to anger to lust to cuteness in the glimpse of an eye. Their love scene was extremely natural, i felt like i was intruding lol. The kisses, dialogue, moaning, hand placement, etc everything felt super real and not forced at all. I can say im extremely happy with the results, sending deepest congratulations to the actresses, director, producer, screenwriter and the whole crew at Change for the level of excellency we've been blessed with. Wishing many more projects for LMSY as a couple 🙏 you guys are truly changing the path of GL right now and raising our standards!!

I come back just to watch the scene of Pleng moaning Wan's name cuz good God! Also, their loves scenes are the most believable out of all the other GL series. Age appropriate partners (Blank). Right amount of unclothing (TLP). The background music makes sense (all of them). No weird positions and close ups of hands gripping sheets/couches 😂 And that reply from Wan when Pleng moans her name was absolute perfection. Hands down THE best!
That’s another thing that irked me about TLP, how in the hell are they still doing the do w clothes on? The lack of intimacy was just uncomfortable. Like don’t you want to see your partner’s body?

They needed to BFFR and show more skin. I think we saw like a bare ankle once or twice throughout the whole series. I lost count. 🤣
