This is my first JS300 rebuild, and your videos helped me out a lot!!! When putting the PTO/coupling on, do you have to torque it? I put mine on and when trying to start it, it comes loose and unthreads. Is the motor spinning the wrong direction?
You’re welcome glad my videos helped you. Yes you kinda have to torque it on the fis pound it with something flat hit it on where the ears stick out to torque it and put a little bit of red loctite and wait like 30 minutes

What grit sand paper are you using?

It’s premixed gas with oil whatever comes out fro the gas tank. 40:1 mix ratio.

@@BTR2018 im in NJ, I bought a 440 hull but kinda want to put a 300 in it.... idk if i can even figure out mounts but if i can find a kerker for a 300 that will seal the deal. Sweet video.
@@benschrepple8808 all I see there’s one in Alabama but the guy doesn’t want to ship it. Lol thanks for liking the video. Currently in the garage making a pump and impeller video should be out this week Thursday. If I find a pipe I’ll definitely let you know.
Im on the "everything standup jetski" facebook page, you'll see the 440 i have on there. Any ideas on mounting a 300 into a 440 body?
@@benschrepple8808 Me personally I would not go to a 300 because everything it is so hard to get for them like aftermarket parts and stuff but a 440 or a 550 or a 750 swap would be much better definitely need more power for the skis Unless you already have the 300 you’ll have to buy the 300 mounts which are pretty hard to come by and kind of expensive.
Would it be better to swap out the engine for a 450 or 550 engine?
Definitely would, but always wanted to build a 300 and see what it could do.

Well, let’s say this it was beating a js440 & js550s, which they were pretty much stock so this thing was pretty fast but again it’s hard to find parts for this thing like a pipe. I have a few impellers, but putting in a JS450 or 550 would be much better, or even better a 650. Which I got if you want.
