- A quick video of unboxing, assembly and quick review of the new Final Approach Lightweight Knockout Layout Blind. I have it next to some Avery Finishers to get a size comparison and I use my old FA Layout blind bag in it.
I got this from Rogers in Nov of 2021 for $179 plus tax.

Thanx for posting the video
I just used it to help:e set mine up, I love it. It’s roomy, well made, has great bendy screen and when I took it down to flatten it out, it only took about 15 seconds and it was packed up ready to go. Pleasantly surprised to find backpack straps on back. It’s AWESOME.
I’ve looked at a bunch of layouts and I’ll be buying a couple Knockouts for next fall/winter.
After assembly, they seem pretty quick to set up.
Yep. I've used it once so far and it is, it super quick and easy and that big cushion for your butt is great, really good for taking a nap on those slow hunts. Two things, the arm rests/side connectors have a sharp plastic side and WILL dig into the material, just think of all the times gear is piled on top, down bumpy roads, etc. Get some cheap pool noodles and cut rings to put over the ends to keep them off the fabric.
Hey, cool video. Where can I find that bag you got?
You can't, FA quit making it years ago. HideAway makes a Layout Blind Bag that is sorta close and then FA new layout blind bag is sorta close. www.ebay.com/itm/186085195291
How is it holding up? Thinking of getting one and am wondering if it is worth it.
Can't say much, only got one hunt in mine last year. Hopefully more this year.
Thanks for the info
How is it holding up so far? Thinking about ordering one
Man wish I could tell you, we've been hunting from panels and blankets since I got it and still haven't had a chance to use it.
@@Drundel no worries thanks for getting back to me. Trying to decide between this one and the rogers Goosebuster xl
@@trevorskinner2381 My only thoughts on that are pinless vs pins. Cold hands in cold windy days suck. I do wish you could adjust the height of the blind, but if my buddies complain too much, I have an idea how to mod it for that.
Oh and the XL is waterproof, that can be a huge benefit in a wet field. I have an LP XL and that is a lifesaver in a wet rice field.
@@Drundel did you make it adjustable?
@@samuelcarter8238Nope. I did read a review on rogers that some people aren't using the side supports and just a blind bag to hold up the leg part. It really lowered the height of the blind.
Also is it big enough for your use?
Yep. I hunted YEARS, like 10, out of a Avery Finisher and I think this is very close to the size if a tad bit more narrow and for sure taller.
Glad I went with the larger knockout. Getting out of that opening with a gun would be tight. Also, the way the seat / back rest is designed in this is horrible. Look into getting the springboard as well.
Interesting. I only hunted out of it once, but I thought the back rest was pretty conformable.
Hi Dave, tighten them up by pulling on the end of the strap.
