When I saw this cover, I thought that it'd be a swing and a miss. It's a beautiful song that was originally done perfectly. But the vocals were spot on the instrumentation was revitalized the classic, especially the drum fills. The Underground would be very pleased.
This cover of a great V.U. song beats out Black Crowes' version and My Morning Jacket's. I am so glad I found this, because it led me to listen to Hollis Brown's original music, which I cannot get enough of. To the band, thank you for all the terrific music.
Cover with full respect to the original...i enjoyed seeing drummer's moves AND playing...nice voice, very good rhythm section in total...a bliss to hear them... rare if you think, nowadays, compared with the '' monsters '' we grew up, included Velvet Underground, of course !!! .
Excellent plaintive tone on the vocal. The sadness of this song comes through your simple background support. No frills, no extra glitzy with the exception of the drums that suddenly bring out the hope that is hidden under all the cover. You did great by this song. The Black Crowes’s version in southern rock type in ABB style , My Morning jacket plays an alternative rock version with a touch of southern rock, David Johansen came up with updated punk rock version , Australian band Sand Pebbles came up with psychedelic rock version and now this band band plays a folk rock version. All are great but i prefer BC version followed by the original VU song

The Crowes version takes the original and shoots it in the ass. This is a good second and the Velvet Underground comes in third even though it's the original.
