The thing that's most disastrous about the Pens season is that, even now, they still think they're a contender. Mid-2010's Red Wings levels of delusion.
As a rangers fan I gotta give you props you show your fandom for the islanders but stay unbiased at times when it come to talking about the rangers and other metro teams
As a Hawks fan, I totes agree. I watched every game except for like 3 or 4. There’s a ton going on that peeps don’t know. They signed several 2 year deals - Foligno, Mrazek, and Dickinson - to provide a core of veteran leadership, they signed Vlasic to a very favorable longer term deal, they were injured as hell but still played hard for the most part. There’s a ton to like and I think the 2 year deals is indicative of when Kyle from Chicago is thinking they start making a real push….
Eff your tanking franchise that gets handed darling franchise players after totally ruining any good will that organization had with the most recent scandal
the devils went from an all time high to exactly what youd expect from that franchise. give them a few years. I don't know about this core winning a cup compared to teams like the panthers but who knows at this point. they are an american team afterall so they have higher chances than 7 teams
@@MikeBartner tougher, and bring in defensive defense. my grandma fights more than these ballerinas they play like figure skaters they will quite literally let you push them around. macdermid helps but they need better aggressive defense, and better unity as a team. I feel like these players lack chemistry and play as if they are each their own individual team
12:49 "couldn't do anything at the deadline" ... they traded for Duclair and that trade sparked them being the hottest team in the league during March. If they didn't make that trade they wouldn't have made the playoffs. Bad take.
The Jets being solid? Lol considering that very much like the 2023 postseason they won only a single game and ended their current season with: - nine straight playoff games, going back to that earlier postseason, having allowed at least four goals in each - only one playoff game decided by a goal, a 7-6 win in regulation over the Avs - not one loss of a playoff game decide by just one goal, a huge blight considering that to end the regular season they had won eight straight games, including five during which they had allowed under three goals but not even one of those last eight regular season games during which they had allowed four or more Given the above I would have bumped the Jets down to the "Disaster" tier but kept the other Canadian NHL teams in the same tiers. The Leafs, Canucks and Oilers had expectations of at least SOME playoff success this past season but all ended up lasting longer this past postseason than the Jets did. The Leafs for starters played relatively solid team defense from games 5 to 7, not allowing 3 or more goals in ANY of those games. And some fans of the Jets claim that Kevin Cheveldayoff is a god of a GM when he has been there ever since that team relocated from Atlanta in 2011 and seeing just a single conference final appearance and following that appearance with just a single playoff series win: a 2021 sweep of the Oilers.
I honestly dont know why Ottawa cant win. Its like my NHL 24 franchise teams that are all 90s but go below .500%. But now hey. They got rid of a shitty contract and got a former Vezina top 10 goalie. If next year they still either miss the playoffs or lose in round 1. I think its time for a big move there.
Mike is too biased towards teams that are rebuilding. It’s not a good thing that the Flames were so bad that they had to completely pivot in the other direction lol. Tearing a team down is easy but it doesn’t guarantee anything.
I get what your saying but again it's not like Conroy was the one that put them in that spot. Treliving sucked and screwed the team however now they are heading in the right direction.

That's a great comparison HAHAAHAHAHA
But didn’t u see the 2015 redwings roster. Absolutely a contender. One player even got to 50 points.
Can’t wait for the upcoming offseason vids! Love the content
Thanks, gonna be fun!

Coming from a wings fan, the Sabres are gonna do a lot better this season
HAHAHAHAHAHAH last year gave hope though
@StickinAroundHockey the Sabres have been a disaster way longer than detroit
@@acemoneymaker8242 yes, I just mean that they will do better than they did last year
No, they won the Stanley Cup (by association, kinda, right?)!

Posted the graphic on the IG (@mbonhockey), just too much cup final/offseason stuff to do a UA-cam on it

You look like AJ Hawk’s long lost brother😂
Minnesota kinds should be in meh because they still ended a couple of games above 500 and a lot of injuries so it was not our fault.
This was huge panthers can contend next 2 years they can win again they beat ny that’s unreal
Tier List Tuesday I wonder where the panthers rangers habs leafs and devils are

Honestly minus Mackinnon, avs didn’t really have any momentous things happen
Yep, fun regular season but back to back early exits is unacceptable even with the cup win in 2022.
