    Wanted to thank you for your videos. Although I do not have a long arm, I am learning to free motion quilt on my sewing machine. Your work has given me new ideas for quilting patterns and I have benefited from watching you work with rulers. Thanks for taking the time to do the videos!

    I was waiting for your beautiful feathers and there they are! Another gorgeous quilt turned into an elegant one. I love all your designs and have treated myself to your books, especially the one on feathers. Thank you taking the time to put these videos out. It gives hope to us lesser mortals.😊

    Hi Natalia I know you said these You Tubes are not tuts but I quilted a quilt using rulers by watching you..saying to myself 'that will work' running out to my machine..marking and ruler working a piece...coming back..watching more..getting another idea..and away I went..first 'Ruler' quilt I had ever done (being new at long arm) so so pleased with the result. The quilt is going into a show here in New Zealand later this year...Thank you

    I, too, would love to know how you measure for borders and how you figure out what will fit. Is this a class you offer, or could you do a UA-cam video on some pointers? I am addicted to your videos, have purchased your rulers, books just trying to soak up as much info as possible. Thank you for ALL you do to help and inspire.

    Thank you immensely for sharing your videos. You have inspired me to dive in and just do it! I have always been intimidated with my longarm when it comes to free motion and ruler work.......you have helped me get out of my comfort zone. I have recently bought both of you rulers and I am interested in purchasing the long curve rulers you're using in this video......can you share info on the sizes? Once again, thank you!!!!

    You are so talented! I love how easy you make it look. I thought of a question on the way to church this morning that I wanted to ask you but it doesn’t pertain to this quilt So here it is. Again I just start using my long arm. How do you piece batting or have you ever had to piece batting for a quilt and how. Thank you again for sharing your time and talent.

    I think I’ve watched all of your videos and love them all. You’re such an inspiration to me. Question: Have you done a video that I’ve missed on how to calculate how many, say, scallops will fit across the border? I saw one where you’re covering borders and it’s an even measurement and so you did it by two inch increments, but this one you’re showing now is two different sizes.
    Also, when doing a continuous feather around entire outer border, what’s your method for marking quilt to evenly space spine? I’ve seen some videos where there’s markings through center of border and when it gets to corners it looks like hatch marks. Would love your feedback or a video. TIA

    I have my longarm set down as far as it will go (APQS) - I'm short so the front belly bar is slightly above the belly button. I noticed that your height is about at the chest. This looks like you have more visibility around the needle. Is there recommendations anywhere for the height of the bars? Or do you have any recommendations?

    • @NataliaBonner
      @NataliaBonner  6 років тому

      When I started out quilting my machine was about that height. I think that's what most recommend. I found however, that'I'm a lot more comfortable to have my machine/table set a lot higher. I don't have near the back pain that I did when it was lower and I feel like I have a bit more control. :)

    Just wondering how close to the edge should I quilt the design ? It appears to me you are quite close, wouldn't the binding cover the design or are you keeping that in mind as you are quilting ?

    • @NataliaBonner
      @NataliaBonner  6 років тому

      Always leave at least 1/4" for binding. :) With the straight lines I do quilt those completely off the edge because I want those to go into the binding. :)

    When you change thread colors on the top do you change them to the same color on the bottom and if so is there all kind of colors in the bottom line I know there is in So Fine but I'm not sure about the bottom line

    • @NataliaBonner
      @NataliaBonner  6 років тому +1

      Yes, unless it's a light pastel color. So on this quilt I'm using green on top and bottom.

    • @christiegilmore8494
      @christiegilmore8494 6 років тому
