- Over a dozen students at Princeton University have been on hunger strike for a week as part of a Gaza solidarity encampment on campus protesting Israel's war on Gaza and calling on the university to disclose and divest from companies with ties to Israel.
Problem is they don’t care about people dying, that’s the problem

They have a right because of Freedom of Speech and the Right to Protest. A fact worth noting: we can’t go to Gaza if we wanted to, as Gaza’s only airport was bombed by Israel in 2001 and Israel has enacted a siege on the strip for years. ❤️

If Palestinians - not just prisoners - had staged an ongoing form of nonviolent protests earlier, Israel would have had no choice but to fold. The optics would have been just too bad. Peaceful protest has always worked in the face of a stronger enemy committing human rights violations or being colonizers.
However, most Palestinians instead decided to support a terrorist organization that until 2017 had explicitly antisemitic language in its charter, is obviously (from recent events) still antisemitic and barbaric, and whose current charter still refuses to accept the state of Israel. Maybe Palestinians should accept some responsibility for their situation.

The next number actually is too low. Palestinians are sending several terrorists per day in times of peace. Somecof them still being teenagers. Makes quite a sum. Terrorists as in people trying to kill civilian people in times of peace. So these thousands of Palestinians are in jail for murder and attempted murder and planned murder, depending on in which stadium of their plan they were caught. They all face a normal court trial, some are still waiting for it but they are going to get their trial. If you think "several terrorist attacks per day is too high" - well, that's what is called Intifada. And meanwhile, 150 missiles being sent to Israel per month, Israel still estimates that a time of peace. But let's be correct, it's a constant war with ups and downs.

I am deeply moved by these students who are putting themselves through hunger strike to stand up for their true beliefs in justice and democracy for Palestine! It is the young who will bring the true colours of life. It is the young who will bring massive good change to the world. Some people want to complain about Federal funding of Colleges where protests take place. #1. Columbia and Princeton are private, #2. Those same people never complain about the 100's of billions of dollars spent annually on the military and while military personnel can say nothing while on Duty, they certainly can and certainly have made themselves known on every issue as a Citizen.
Bottom line: Whenever people speak out against the status quo, they will receive pushback from the mainstream media AND its mainstream audience.

I used to be a student at Princeton before transferring to a university in my home country for medical reasons. I am so proud of my former classmates and fellow members of the Arab and Muslim communities on campus. If there is one thing I regret about leaving, it’s not being able to stand alongside them and participate in the protests. Nonetheless, they have my full support and respect. Free Palestine. 🇵🇸

With respect, if you told the truth and called it "Gaza's war on Israel" you would have a lot more credibility. A ceasefire was in effect between Israel and Gaza before Oct 7, when Gaza attacked and murdered over 1000 Israeli civilians.
