I think it also has to do with Kizaru seeing the strawhats growth, he still remembers when they weren't much of a threat PTS but now he see's how much they've all improved besides just Luffy. Whereas with legends like Rayleigh, Shanks crew & WB crew Kizaru knows they're tough & expects them to be a challenge right off the bat

I'm probably going to butcher this explanation, but to my understanding: The biggest limiting factor on lasers is diffraction. First with whatever mirror systems they're using clouding up and burning, but then again when they hit their target. It either is or is related to the leidenfrost effect, where the particles boiled off the contact surface and the superheated air make a dense plasma that disperses laser energy before it can continue to connect with the intended target. You get explosive popping when the laser is strong enough and it rapidly boils off a supersonic bubble of gas. That might be the popping we're seeing here. If ifit jambe does make plasma, you might get a gunshot pop as the sanji kick is unleashed and the laser hit it. All the energy from the laser is refracted into the surrounding gasses and it pops harmlessly. Just like quickly dipping a wet hand into molten metal.
It's honestly getting annoying how the Admirals are always nerfed anytime they're in serious combat. Marineford they couldn't go all out and then in every on-screen fight afterwards they were conflicted somehow. A Yonko is definitely superior but fights don't feel the same when the admiral is restricted. It gets stale really quickly.
Because they not and haki with good control can't even make a crater on a floor .Just say admirals have trash haki and no you don't need to destroy sh*t around to make damage so the no excuse here

Stealth black refracts light to be invisible. Sanji is to Kizaru what Luffy is to Enel Edit: hence the similar reaction from kizaru and similar statement by sanji as to the luffy v enel moment.

Another theory I heard is that this is an example of Sanji's Stealth Black powers, which really is personal gravity manipulation which can bend light. That would also explain Stealth Black's ability to go invisible as well as Sanji's increased density.
The difference is in 1006 Sanji only intercepted one of his many jewel beams with his VegaBoot while it also shows him being his by one with blood coming out on his upper right side. 1107 he deflected his single shot, a concentrated attack, much stronger than the broken up flurry of multiple beams.
Most of the options are fine, but i think it is more simple than that. Kizaru just didn't expect Sanji to be this strong. He wasn't faced when fighting Luffy because he expected Luffy, as a yonko, to be at least as strong as himself. But a yonko commander and only the one with the fourth highest bounty in the crew? Not in his wildest dreams.
I like the theory and the evidence definitely adds credence to it. Could really be combination of thing. Could just be that Kizaru underestimated Sanji so in that moment Sanji demonstrated a feat that was not in line with Kizaru's preconceived notions of how powerful Sanji was, hence the sudden shock. Kinda like how Luffy first used conquerors haki at marineford. It got a big reaction out of everyone because nobody expected it from a random rookie. I'd guess if someone like whitebeard had done the same in that exact situation the reaction wouldn't have been the same, because to everyone of course WB can use that power. But yeah, just another thought as to why Kizaru may have been less baffled by other handling his powers, likely because he expects them to be capable enough. Not saying this is the definitive reason as to why he was so 'out of character surprised' at Sanji deflecting his laser, but it certainly could have been a factor.
i firmly believe that whenever sanji is talking about his soul burning or love, thats actually his lunarian flame igniting. maybe all his siblings have the lunarian flame, but its within them, or their heart rather, and not on the outside like king
I would say the 3rd last isn't a very likely option, but both of the last 2 are very likely. After all Sanji is the fastest Straw Hat with the best potential for observation. I do believe it might be likely that he was surprised that his observation did not pick up him blocking the attack and only even noticed him when he had already blocked the attack. This could either be due to potentially unlocking a weaker version of observation killer Shanks has (doubt it though) or more likely just too fast that his observation could not pick up Sanji between point A (where Sanji was before) and point B (where Sanji blocked the attck). Like maybe thinking he can teleport when their intelligence might know that ability is already in Van Augurs possession.
We will find out the power of "LOVE" is real. Oda will reveal the One Piece is "LOVE" and it's something that exists not just in the One Piece but the entire world. LOVE just is strongest at the Laugh Tale.

My idea was that sanji was unlocking the same or similar powers to the Raid suit itself that he wore in wano. The raid suit went invisible in the sense that it deflected and bent light in a way to make sanji invisible. So my guess was that Sanji was tapping into the power to deflect light itself like in his raid suit, but to a lesser degree. Now that I think about though, the Ifrit idea makes more sense. It's funny cause that means Sanjis leg is basically a lightsaber and he deflected Kizarus lazer like a blaster bolt lol😂.

Both Luffy and Sanji have superior Haki. Pair that with insane Observation Haki which is how they are able to deflect his attacks and predict when the attacks are coming.

It really wasn't that big a deal. He shot the beam with his eyes closed because in that moment, he didn't really wanna kill Bonney and Vegapunk and he thought that half-assed beam would get the job done. Sanji deflecting it surprised him, but it also snapped him out of his hesitancy. That's why he made sure he didn't miss the next time. He knocked Sanji back and blasted a hole in Vegapunk.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kizaru will get replaced from the Three Admirals roster after his abysmal performance at Egghead Island. Vice-Admiral Gion, one of the candidates for Admiral rank, would probably replace Kizaru as Momousagi.

heat related photon decay is a thing but to get that to happen you would have to get even hotter than a quark gluon plasma which would kill everyone on egghead by just being in the proximity of that heat

The problem with you power tierers is that you expect there to be some magical barrier between tiers or between two vs. one. You exclude the physical and practical world, and evidently giant Luffy is able to take hold of both of them for a while. And Saturn is the only one actually able to push against him in this scenario, even if a free Kizaru could spar with Luffy. It depends on what someone is actually doing or able to do, as opposed to just comparing volumes of cubes of "power". You also don't understand the other 's point correctly... He's speaking about the idea that Yonko are special and show that by absolute dominance... An older idea which was reinspired by this panel, but which was also an aspect that seemed actually lacking from Luffy's Yonko portrayal somewhat so far. And Kaido was a Yonko too, so that comparison doesn't work. Some may see it as absolute tiering of Yonko vs Admirals, others more as portrayal. Though it's clear Luffy G5 is stronger than anyone of them (Saturn so far), I think one shouldn't ignore that.
No matter what people say, I firmly believe we're gonna get to see Kaido and Big mom. Their death hasnt been updated ever since. It was all clear for Ace, WB Pedro when they died. Scaling a characters speed based off of dodging or reacting to a laser is the worse way in fiction to scale a characters speed. By this logic Batman, Captain America, Spiderman and even random civilians in comics can move at light speed.
The difference is that kizaru’s actual power is Light and he’s mentioned his attacks being light speed before. Spider-Man has precog the other two is just bad/careless writing from a completely different universe and has ZERO bearing one piece
All Sanji did was use his Observation Haki to foresee the laser attack. Then he blocked it with his Haki and an incredibly powerful kick. You don’t have to be light speed to dodge or react to a laser. One Piece characters having Observation Haki would also kill the point of them being able to or needing to logically move that fast anyway. Along with Kizaru having a worthless Devil Fruit because if people move at light speed naturally and you have a light based ability what is the point. The same could be said for Luffy as well.
Im still pretty salty that we didnt get to see the conclusion to the fight with the Pacifista. I know its not a big deal but i feel like we will revisit it a little later on
I lean towards whatever lineage factor goes into Stealth Black. Similar to how Niji was able to use his Henry Needle without the raid suit, Sanji's lineage factor with Stealth Black may lead to some level of light manipulation for natural camouflage via bending, refracting, or absorbing light (thus lasers).
@@ZackSNetwork No. Haki doesnt disable logia elements. It only allows you to attack the logia user's body directly. And then if theirs a big enough gap some "hax" can be negated. Not all though. Doing that to a laser obviously isn't a haki because that's not how it works and kizaru wouldn't have been surprised. There are plenty of people with haki.
After Sanji changed Kizaru's frame nothing happened next though, he just ran with Vegapunk, caught off guard by Kizaru and because of that VP was severely stabbed by Kizaru. I think the best option of Sanji there was to focus on fighting kizaru 1st. Runji? Oda hyping up yet nothing happened 😂

A bit of time passed since Sanji blocked Kizaru and I don't think they were staring at each other until Saturn came back, transformed and decided to attack everything so Vegapunk was in Danger. Luffy ordered Sanji to carry him away as one of them has to stay and hold off the ennemies. That Sanji carried out the order and was cheap shotted by Kizaru given the opportunity of him being dodging Saturn first and being gentle with Vegapunk. And even after being cheap shotted by an admiral Sanji stood back up like nothing happened and took back Vegapunk. If you frame it as running away from a fight, then you're just bitter and hate the character.

Most of the options are fine, but i think it is more simple than that. Kizaru just didn't expect Sanji to be this strong. He wasn't faced when fighting Luffy because he expected Luffy, as a yonko, to be at least as strong as himself. But a yonko commander and only the one with the fourth highest bounty in the crew? I like the theory and the evidence definitely adds credence to it. Could really be combination of thing. Could just be that Kizaru underestimated Sanji so in that moment Sanji demonstrated a feat that was not in line with Kizaru's preconceived notions of how powerful Sanji was, hence the sudden shock. Kinda like how Luffy first used conquerors haki at marineford. It got a big reaction out of everyone because nobody expected it from a random rookie. I'd guess if someone like whitebeard had done the same in that exact situation the reaction wouldn't have been the same, because to everyone of course WB can use that power. But yeah, just another thought as to why Kizaru may have been less baffled by other handling his powers, likely because he expects them to be capable enough. Not saying this is the definitive reason as to why he was so 'out of character surprised' at Sanji deflecting his laser, but it certainly could have been a factor.

I would say the 3rd last isn't a very likely option, but both of the last 2 are very likely. After all Sanji is the fastest Straw Hat with the best potential for observation. I do believe it might be likely that he was surprised that his observation did not pick up him blocking the attack and only even noticed him when he had already blocked the attack. This could either be due to potentially unlocking a weaker version of observation killer Shanks has (doubt it though) or more likely just too fast that his observation could not pick up Sanji between point A (where Sanji was before) and point B (where Sanji blocked the attck). Like maybe thinking he can teleport when their intelligence might know that ability is already in Van Augurs possession.
Wouldn't light damage be technically heat/ burn related? Sanji being resistant to laser damage could make sense that way.

My idea was that sanji was unlocking the same or similar powers to the Raid suit itself that he wore in wano. The raid suit went invisible in the sense that it deflected and bent light in a way to make sanji invisible. So my guess was that Sanji was tapping into the power to deflect light itself like in his raid suit, but to a lesser degree.
Now that I think about though, the Ifrit idea makes more sense. It's funny cause that means Sanjis leg is basically a lightsaber and he deflected Kizarus lazer like a blaster bolt lol😂.

Both Luffy and Sanji have superior Haki. Pair that with insane Observation Haki which is how they are able to deflect his attacks and predict when the attacks are coming.

He shot the beam with his eyes closed because in that moment, he didn't really wanna kill Bonney and Vegapunk and he thought that half-assed beam would get the job done. Sanji deflecting it surprised him, but it also snapped him out of his hesitancy. That's why he made sure he didn't miss the next time. He knocked Sanji back and blasted a hole in Vegapunk.

The problem with you power tierers is that you expect there to be some magical barrier between tiers or between two vs. one. You exclude the physical and practical world, and evidently giant Luffy is able to take hold of both of them for a while. And Saturn is the only one actually able to push against him in this scenario, even if a free Kizaru could spar with Luffy.
It depends on what someone is actually doing or able to do, as opposed to just comparing volumes of cubes of "power".
You also don't understand the other 's point correctly... He's speaking about the idea that Yonko are special and show that by absolute dominance... An older idea which was reinspired by this panel, but which was also an aspect that seemed actually lacking from Luffy's Yonko portrayal somewhat so far. And Kaido was a Yonko too, so that comparison doesn't work.
Some may see it as absolute tiering of Yonko vs Admirals, others more as portrayal. Though it's clear Luffy G5 is stronger than anyone of them (Saturn so far), I think one shouldn't ignore that.

Scaling a characters speed based off of dodging or reacting to a laser is the worse way in fiction to scale a characters speed. By this logic Batman, Captain America, Spiderman and even random civilians in comics can move at light speed.
The difference is that kizaru’s actual power is Light and he’s mentioned his attacks being light speed before. Spider-Man has precog the other two is just bad/careless writing from a completely different universe and has ZERO bearing one piece

All Sanji did was use his Observation Haki to foresee the laser attack. Then he blocked it with his Haki and an incredibly powerful kick. You don’t have to be light speed to dodge or react to a laser. One Piece characters having Observation Haki would also kill the point of them being able to or needing to logically move that fast anyway. Along with Kizaru having a worthless Devil Fruit because if people move at light speed naturally and you have a light based ability what is the point. The same could be said for Luffy as well.
Im still pretty salty that we didnt get to see the conclusion to the fight with the Pacifista. I know its not a big deal but i feel like we will revisit it a little later on

I lean towards whatever lineage factor goes into Stealth Black. Similar to how Niji was able to use his Henry Needle without the raid suit, Sanji's lineage factor with Stealth Black may lead to some level of light manipulation for natural camouflage via bending, refracting, or absorbing light (thus lasers).

A bit of time passed since Sanji blocked Kizaru and I don't think they were staring at each other until Saturn came back, transformed and decided to attack everything so Vegapunk was in Danger. Luffy ordered Sanji to carry him away as one of them has to stay and hold off the ennemies. That Sanji carried out the order and was cheap shotted by Kizaru given the opportunity of him being dodging Saturn first and being gentle with Vegapunk. And even after being cheap shotted by an admiral Sanji stood back up like nothing happened and took back Vegapunk.
If you frame it as running away from a fight, then you're just bitter and hate the character.
