My bf drinks a homemade tea made from thyme for his copd. I use a filter and fill the filter with the spices we use and use a twisty tie and twist it. Then I place it on the cup rim using the twisty tie legs so it doesn't fall inside. Its so useful and when he's done he can throw it away all good!
@@TheCraftyCanary I think I got mine at Winco, but I would imagine that pretty much everyone carries them. I fine grind my beans and re-use the filter. If I remember correctly (it has been several years) it was hanging from the shelf on one of those hanger things on the coffee aisle.
I bet you can use those little paper cups you get in restaurants for ketchup in your Keurig machine instead of buying those refillable plastic filters and using the pods that can't be recycled. Get unbleached paper cups and get away from the chemicals of the bleached paper. great video thank you!
I do this for seeds and spices that I use in my broths. Very useful.
Great tip!

She had to explain it, so it seems longer. While the water it boiling just measure and tie. If you like loose.
My reusable k-cup thing IS a permanent filter.
I wish ours was! Thanks for watching!
