Ok, I want to do the opposite, replace the elastic WITH a drawstring.
Hello so a straight stitch works over zigzag if you stretch the elastic? thank you
@@4pitch hello! Either will work. A zigzag would give it a little more stretch and give. I should have done it that way! Thanks for the feedback!
@@TheCraftyCanary thank you
I just found your channel and really like your videos. I see that you used to have a Bible reading on Sundays in the past. I think you should restart that as I think for these times it would be good to hear the word of God. Thank you!

In other words, this product is just a pain in the neck. I'm trying my second unit and it is a constant nuisance: clog, disassemble, clean, dry, reassemble, clog....
@@carolemedley1807 Mine hasn’t seemed to be such a problem. I only clean it every year or so and more because I feel like it should be cleaned than because of clogs. I’m sorry yours has been such a nuisance. It may be worth it to just buy the premade sprays in the grocery store so it’s not such a nuisance. Thank you for watching!
cannot see what your doing ???
@@johncasor9698 Thank you for the feedback and for watching. I am working really hard to improve on that in future sewing videos.

A great use for your steamer basket is to stemsm your eggs. Once you do, you won’t ever boil them again. 😊 they peel perfectly too. Once you do it, you will have to make a video, because it’s such a game changer.
@@lateknightcreations Thanks for that great idea!!
Great tips. I always wash my fruit in lemon water and pat dry, store in a jar and ziploc. Usually lasts until we eat it. We eat our fruit pretty quickly though.
So all i need is my vegetables water seasoning and slow cooker?
Yep! It's that easy! Hope you enjoy!
Great tip. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you, too!
Thank The Crafty Canary for this HELPFUL video.
I know this video is 1 year old, but would like to adk. I use about 1/4 cup weekly in making homemade ranch dressing. The container to says to use within 7 days of opening. I hate wasting nearly 3/4 of it after that date specified. If I were to freeze it, would it change tge texture consistency of the dressing?
Sorry I'm so late in replying! I think the texture might be a little grainy after freezing it, but it's worth a try! I'm like you, and I hate to waste things! The blending process when you make the dressing will probably help with the graininess. Let me know how it turns out!
camera should have been on your work .. wanted to see details.
Thank you for the feedback. Working on getting my camera skills better.
Camera position is not in proper angle. And also simply story telling than practical😮
Thank you for the feedback. I’m working on getting better!
I always disliked using the stainless steel cleaner. It was too much work. Till I realized if I cleaned it first with a spray cleaner . I use “ the amazing whip it”eco friendly spray. It removes any grime or finger prints. Then when I used the stainless steel cleaner it was a breeze. I only had to do a light buffing. I cleaned all my appliances 2 weeks ago. They still look great. Now when a see a print or smudge. I use my dish rag to maintain it. The dishwasher was more work when have little handprints all over it. Happy cleaning.

Good information. Did you double fold the towel or just use a single layer ?
@@carlam.9529 Just one layer but my towels were kind of thick. I would double it if they were pretty thin. Thanks for watching!!
Ha ha---No Need for all of that messing around---just remove 1/3 lb from frig 4-6 hours Ahead of time...put in any low dish & wait.....Butter will Keep at room temp for 5 days Or More.... I have eaten butter all my life...never went rancid even in hot summer....
@@renymullen4582 I do that, too. But sometimes I forget to get it out in enough time and want soft butter! :) So this is a good hack in a pinch. Thanks for watching!
Great tip, will have to try. I don't usually use stick butter because it doesn't spread, I use whipped butter.
Will spread very easily when taken out of frig 4 hours or more...keeps at room temp for Days.....
Great idea!
Brilliant!!!!!

I have a bunch of obsolete coffee filters (new coffee maker doesn’t use that type) AND I need a micro-cover, so this is perfect!
I think because paper towels are more expensive
Why waste a coffee filter when a wet or dry paper towel will work just as well?
@@EdStyer It is slight, but the paper towels are a little more expensive. Thanks for watching!
Where did u get the cups
@@sharlina63 I think I got most of them at the grocery store or Walmart. The green topped ones are Ball brand and most of the blue topped are Ziploc. Kroger has some that look similar to the Ziploc ones in their generic line. Be sure they say “freezer” and 16 oz. or 2 cups works best. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you so much for that!! I really needed to hear that!! May God always bless you and your family in Jesus name Amen!!! 🙏

Handy.. what if it doesn’t spray??

Thanks so much!!!
My dilemma is the Cord has no channel and is twisting and turning going from top to bottom and is in elastic casing. It is rounded so hard to keep it straight. Do you have a video on how to thx this without tearing out the seam?

Love your silver hair! Good for you to own your natural look. I stopped coloring mine and it is white. I love it and get so many compliments on it! Wish I had let it go natural years ago!
Having bare elastic from the inside looks very unfinished. If I did that method for other people , boy I’m sure I’d hear about it. I would never do this to my own pants. I’m glad it works for you.
I agree: it does look very unfinished! As I say in the video, for a customer, I would do it very differently. The purpose here is just to get a little more wear out of my own rather worn-out pajama or workout pants and help others (especially newer sewers) to do the same. I don't mind the unfinished look on the inside for myself. Maybe I'm a little too frugal! :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Your hair is really pretty and is just perfect for your complexion. Would love to know how you take care of it.
