We had that VHS when I was a kid. My sister and I watched it A. LOT. That, Saturday the 14th, Better Off Dead, and The In-Laws were our family favorites .
One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I am definitely going to get it on DVD when it comes out. Can't wait - this film has serious re-watchability!
@@nerdinflorida the ending is outstanding. First, after all the help the brothers and Lisa still lose - I remember the audience sighed with a moan - then everyone whispered "oh yeah" when Sam woke up in the suit of armor. The audience forgets because Sam in the armor happened in the middle of the movie. Never get tired of it.
My Dad was one the Hells Angels in the bar scene. The real crazy looking Wildman standing next to meatloaf. Just know he had 4 beautiful daughters. He's gone now. Just stop by to see him and saw your channel. Thanks.
I saw Scavenger Hunt in the movie theater when I was 7yrs old. Me and my family enjoyed it and I agree you Scavenger Hunt was a very funny movie and it had a sensational cast. Also you can see Scavenger Hunt 1979 on You Tube.
I remember my parents taping this when it was on TV and it was always one of my favorites. Then the VHS went bad but luckily I found a copy on ebay. They're on the expensive side for a VHS tape...I think I paid $30 back in 2002 or so.
@@nerdinflorida I’m pointing my finger at you like Donald Sutherland did at the end of the body snatchers movie. Lol Another great movie is Silver Streak.
***** I think when I was confusing them , I hadn't seen them in a long while. I rented one thinking it was the other. All I remembered was "That movie, where people raced all night.. for points and .. yadda yadda.."
*"The Big Bus"* was released on DVD back in 2002, but has now been re-issued in the *Warner Archive Collection* on DVD-R after the other release went out of print. *"Americathon"* is currently available through *Warner Archive* as well.
This is the best. All those 70’s stars. The taxi driver getting run over a couple of times. Brilliant.
Such an underrated gem of a movie.

Thanks!
I love this movie. It was put on Blu Ray in 2018 and I have it. It was a good, fun, and hilarious movie. In fact I watched it a few weeks ago.
It really is an underrated classic. It reminds me of "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World."

Why Midnight Madness gets a proper DVD release and not this movie is beyond me. Love this movie btw.
Yes.. it is on DVD... as of 2017 Kino Lorber
Kino Lorber released it on DVD. I bought it a few weeks ago. IUt has audio commentary by the director.

Sadly, the streaming from Shout cuts out 25% of the movie!

You just made my Christmas thank you sir.
Ever see a one called Fatso (with Dom DeLuise)?
Or the North Avenue Irregulars?
Those are classics as well.
Heard of them both but haven't seen either one.

This movie and Midnight Express get confused alot . . . by me that is :)
The two are polar opposites! You gave me a good chuckle! ;)

Hootyhaha Hootyhaha I think you mean "Midnight Madness" a 1980 movie about an all night college scavenger hunt.
Irene Miracle was one fine babe in Midnight Express.......Oh, Billy! I always think of Jim Carrey in Cable Guy. Ha!
They don't have this on DVD and they don't have The Big Bus and they don't have Americathon. Very annoying.
They do now www.j4hi.com/page8/page131/Scavenger_Hunt_dvd.html
