Hey I think it will work with the external power supply. You probably know that by now but when you turned it on and it said night vision I don't think you saw the screen. It looked like it was showing something in front of the lens.
With my attempts at least whenever you plug it into a power source and turn it on it just goes right into video playback mode when powered on and it won't let me change it to regular viewing.
I was able to open the battery cover and insert batteries, but now I am unable to get the cover off again. Did you find a solution to this very difficult to remove cover? Thank you so much.
Says 850nm wave can't find much other info about the illuminator. It's possible to extend the range but it would probably be a trial and error type experience

Please include some living being in these night vision tests. That is all most of us care and not grass or sand!

Hey there, do you know what wattage the IR light is? Because would an external IR flash light thats more powerful would it make it better?
