This works. I had to move to a horse farm w/o internet a few years ago. Would drive 1hr to the local library with spotty 5Mbps where I would download/cache as many npm packages as I could, then drive back to the farm. Hours would pass with absolutely nothing to do and after a few days I got so bored that "coding something" sounded really fun. I wrote the most interesting code I've ever written there and was insanely productive even while being drunk most of the time. The internet and big cities have too much crappy dopamine. I'm just waiting for my lease to run out before moving to the woods under some Starlink coverage and never talking to anyone again. 🤤 Update: I just noticed he is a TikTok sex symbol. 🤦♂️
I check this guy's channel for new videos everyday. I really don't understand how I got stuck with him. But he's definitely been an inspiration from me.
Ben, as an ex-Microsoft employee, the Ballmer Peak was an interesting concept ;) Interesting looking at the kitchen and all the empty bottles lining the counter tops. Interesting given i was working in SQL, the one department i was in my "little" team had about 250, interesting of those only 10 were u.s. citizens originally, think i was the one odd ball, i went to public school. Then again most of the really really smart people talking with them, none of them ever drank even on drop of the magical Ballmer elixir. Either way ,best day ever was when he left MS, my 3500 shares of MSFT went from 27/share to 340. YAY!
LOL I am undergoing the same change of city, for the same reasons. It can be so hard to escape social responsibilities. Same criteria used: find perfect equilibrium between remote/boring and internet speed. Hopefully I will succesfully outrun all my problems now :)
I recently moved from Cary NC to TX. Originally I though on Galveston or Corpus but because of the constant floods I ended picking San Antonio TX, close to Boerne which is a town that I really like, plus is convenient because my family is in Monterrey Mexico which is 4 hours driving.
Ben, always nice to hear from you although I miss the tutorials. (I can always watch useReducer again.) If you ever move to north texas (also boring) let me me buy you a lunch.
No idea where in TN you are Ben, but I'm just south of you in a northern suburb of Atlanta. Welcome to the SE. There are fun things around if you get bored (some don't include guns, even).
Will we ever see more tutorial series, with new tech/updated versions of tech used in the old series like the graphql/next stuff? Or is that era dead now lol?
He made a video about what he wants to learn in 2021, which if I remember correctly included things like data dog and sentry, so would be intrested to see how thats going
@@josesoto3594 I like to watch other people code. See how they do things. See how they change over time. See how they do things differently to me or how I can improve on their ideas. I specifically liked watching Ben because of the tech he chose. Your take is terrible lol.
200MB/s of Internet speed is still a wild dream for me. First world "problems" are truly fascinating.🥲 Besides that, great video Ben. i love how chill you are. I can't wait to see what the fresh air of Tenesse inspires you to create. Take care of yourself.
NY is a big state Ben. Shoulda moved to one of the suburbs around Buffalo. Paying $80/mo for 500/150mbps, coding my heart out. There's plenty to do here, but the massive dumps of snow we get for 3/4ths of the year self-hermit most folks. :D

He would be a hell of a poker player
His eyebrows are stone cold
He's just dead inside
Just looking at angular led his face muscles to atrophy. Many dangers of angular...
Out of all the videos Ben Awad has put out over the years, this is certainly one of them

Very original
Ben actually bought a farm in rural Tennessee and will be recruiting carrot farmers for his next gig.
The slogan: feeding America a step a time
He’ll scare the farmers: you either do your job or I’ll send you to Angular team
Ben Awad, the only tenn-eye-see
I just randomly remembered I haven't seen Ben's video in a while, I go to the channel and see he posted 44 minutes ago
The connection is real.
