And another clip in which LWT cock up the link to ITN...
Also, this must be one of the last uses if not the very last use of "Non-Stop" for ITN's theme tune.

Lovely to see Martyn Lewis mouthing the words of his script to himself when LWT joined too early. The brief look of confusion on his face is priceless. Strange he didn’t pick up from his monitor that he was on air. Unless it was only LWT who joined early and he couldn’t detect that fact.
Looks like LWT joined ITN a bit early, then clipped the start of the bulletin. Given the situation, I reckon communication between ITN and the ITV companies was, to say the least, hectic.
Peter Lewis at LWT, with a guest spot by Su Evans at Central on the 'A Change in Time' trail.
Also brilliant to hear the non-stop music being used as an End of Part One music cue, surely hastening its quick demise as being entirely inappropriate.
Not wanting to excuse LWT here, but I’m guessing running the network at this time with unexpected newsflashes is putting all the timings out. ITN are also slightly chaotic here, with the intro being a caption over Martin Lewis in the studio. Just before you can hear the ITN gallery say “you’re on at 5 to”. They are still audible at 6:15 when they announce “roll (or run?) caption”. If you mentally hum the non-stop intro, it finishes just as LWT cut back.
Calm reference to the 'Belgrano Athletic Club' 11:55 - a week before the cruiser was attacked.
Another clip that proves that the past is interesting, but not necessarily better.
Maybe if Lynn Redgrave hadn't left "House Calls"(with Sharon Gless filling the void), ITV wouldn't have dropped it...
So it was "presentation" thrice over on that particular Sunday, eh? Must have been an interim period of some sort or other.
Remember this. Stayed away from the news.
Would non stop still have been in use on 5th June 1982?
No, they abandoned it a few weeks into the Falklands War. They always intended to reintroduce it but never did.
