It would be nice if they could put the straight 6 from the new cx-90.

May have a shot. Mazda and Toyota have joined together. They can use the US plants to avoid the tariffs.

Back in the late eighties Mazda trucks were popular, we used to call them “Lowpros’.

I had one back in the early eighties an it sucked. I hated it because it was gutless and noisy. It accelerated like a three legged turtle. I'll doubt I will buy another one.

The Rotary Engine has been greatly revised... Oil burning is not a problem with this engine. Mazda may have an excellent little truck here..

I Love the idea of a small body on frame pickup like our 11 Ford Ranger XLT super cab 4WD with the 4.0L V6.
We DONT want any turbo engine.

Had a mazda pickup was just a rebranded ford ranger, 4.0 ford engine made on the same line as the ranger body panels stamped at woodhaven mi.

If they don’t sell it in the U.S., it must be good. They only sell overpriced garbage in the states and vehicles nobody wants like 4 door pickups with 4 ft beds😅

Some Mazda models only for Japan not in the CX SUV range a compact pick up should be based on Corolla Cross for Toyota & for Mazda Should be Based on CX-30 .

Niche(s): Offroad vs urban, towing capacity vs regular, frame construction, stiffness and weight, gas consumption vs hybrids. Options to manage pricing.

What is the best fuel consumption you got so far from the 1.9L??

wish I could buy one in US, can't understand the reason why Mazda stopped selling the B-Series in the states.

As long as mazda doesn't put that oil burning junk technology ( cylinder deactivation ) on the engines it will be a good truck

The Mazda BT is based on the Isuzu d-max just like the current VW Amarok is based on the Ford ranger.😅😂

I think a simple, reliable naturally aspirated engine is best for a truck.

No Rotary Engine. They get horrible fuel mileage and they burn oil

You go on sbout this BT50 as if Mazda developed it, seriously. It's an Isuzu D-Max, only Mazda input is upholstery and grill headlight cluster.
Its the Isuzu chassis, drive line, body panels, dash cluster/switch gear.
It's not ground breaking at all, its old compared to competition, you need to be truly informative, not summisive.
Deveoped by Mazda, like their SUV's are, thats just incorrect.

Rotary engine is a no go for me same crap different decade. There’s a big reason why Mazda quit making them before oil burning gas hogs .
