A lot will leave trucking and then things will stabilize and then rates will return and there will be another boom and then another fall. Trucking is cyclical
It's not Prime or trucking. It's the economy. In all honesty, the economy hasn't been any good since 08. It's had spots, but that's it. You have people making 50k that have to move with their parents. Fuel is too high in trucking. But the average citizens can't afford to do anything. Amazon has killed physical stores. Too many foreigners are brokering loads. As soon as truckers started making any money, every industry that makes money off truckers' prices skyrocketed. In the last 3 years, a new truck went from 120 to 150k all the way to 250k. Simple meals that were 12 bucks cost 20 now. Trucking will be back. To say it won't is to say the economy won't be back. If the American economy doesn't ever come back, we have bigger problems than we think.
Tnt takes so long because they Want team trucks, of the lower the mileage they will have to many solo trucks without the loads to support them. The market will get better once enough smaller carriers go out of business. There's too many trucks competing for loads currently.
Primes next ceo is the guy that ran success. The objective is right in front of you. They fill more leases since they make millions a week off lease payments. Even when leases are up they’ve already paid truck off then they resell for more profit. They make peanuts off freight compared to leases and leasing is now their bread and butter. As long as you make enough to pay the lease that’s all they care about now. Is it sustainable long term? Nope. Will it fill pockets right now? Yep. You don’t name your next ceo as the guy that ran the leasing company for no reason. That move should have had everyone’s eyes opened but people just glazed over it.
Things will get back to normal, but this also should be a wake up call.... for those who act like Trucking is the end all be all.... Trucking is definitely opportunity but you got to look at it as a temporary opportunity... don't invested everything in the trucking.... if you diversify your Investments you should be good... at minimum have at least one form of passive income that's completely outside of trucking.... you should put yourself in a position where Trucking is just extra money... if I ever be a owner operator Trucking is just going to be a part-time job something I do to get away from the family LOL not something I do to put food on the table..
well my 2 truck are paid off. 2015 and 2016 evolution. so i think ill be fine. i can take loads as low as 1.40 and still make some money. The rates are not really the problem for mw. Its lack of freihjt.
I don't think every company is gonna put cameras in. From the outside looking in there are people driving while recording in an unsafe manner and prime wants to eliminate safety issues. You don't see too many people from other carriers driving while doing UA-cam vlogs. I have a degree in education, and I'm a licensed realtor.
That Ai and cameras will study the data in them Prime trucks. The Ai will drive the self driving trucks and the trailer doors will be hands free. It's definitely to many drivers and my Plan B is to go back to painting , landscaping and dancing for Angela Bassett's fine a#s. Lol

It’s “ easy” money from the outside in. Doesn’t require much training compared to say police academy, fire academy, nursing, cna, doctor, stem , etc Local companies has these cams. Alot of them come in with A one credit and within a year they came buy they own truck. I'm willing to bet 75% of independent truck drivers now are immigrants. It's not enough jobs or freight. Alot of jobs will start downsizing and when they start hiring back they will hire alot of immagrants. Tyson just did it for the special tax credits for that. Look at the road people in most states immigrants. They got industrial buildings up north like in the back woods of nowhere. That got all immigrant workers and all Caucasians in the office. I be like where all these immagrants know to get back here but they built trailer courts for them. Or they got apparent buildings set up. Look around at all the new apartments being built. They rental market about to make a killing of immigration. If you got a big bag buy how many trailers you can afford and get into rentals. If Trump win they will take a big loss but if Biden win. Rentals will make a killing off the market.

It's going to. Fmcsa is cracking down on predatory leasing and levying big fines. Megas won't be able to fleece their lease drivers anymore, so they will probably end up getting rid of their lease op programs and try to convert everyone to company drivers or contract out to owner ops. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next few years.
When you don't understand the fuel tax license etc or understand where it comes from about it u going to have no knowledge for your self or your 🏠 hold no bs about our and your lots
