Thanks for watching! so far no mice or any animal get in the drain hose of my washing machine. they won't get through the machine. even if there are some insects that might get in, they would be easily get washed out from the drain hose. since I also believe there is a rubber stopper that opens when the Washing Machine drains the water or spin dry mode and close the rubber stopper when it wash/rinse, that is why they won't get through the machine and get mix with the cloths.

Yes, as long as you lift the washing machine slowly or with care. I've already opened an automatic machine for a deep cleaning. I believe no damage will be done if transported in horizontal/slope position.
