In 2003, I watched Detroit play Florida down in Sunrise. Every time Fedorov, Bure, and Datsyuk had the puck, eyes were glued on them. Hull won it on a one-timer in OT; Our seats were close to the glass, and Wings had a 3-2. Jason Wooley brought it up, and passed over to Hull, who stopped right in front of us, stick raise, and blasted it over Luongo's shoulder.
Tbh, I was actually surprised to see Fedorov, Datsyuk, Bure & Jagr on this list. Kurt tends to *strongly* prefer NA players over European talent, so I thought this top 10 would be all Canadian talent.
Okay, he's only looking at offense, but before the suspensions watered down some of Ovi's physical game, he had some tremendous hits. Also, he's scored a number of nice goals, and not just one timers.
I understand why he wouldn't be on this list yet, but McDavid is the most exciting player in the NHL right now and it's not even close! It pains me to say that coming from Calgary.
I don't think Crosby is that exciting, he is more of a well rounded player. McDavid is wayyy more exciting to watch than him as someone who has watched many Pens and Oilers games
Having had the pleasure of seeing Bure live dosens of times during his prime, I have him first on this list. Honourable mention to Sellane, Kurri, Coffey, Kariya, McDavid, Fleury, Denis Savard.....
Oh man, Maxim Afinogenov was wild too. Fast, scored loads of goals that he shouldn't have been able to, absolutely electric cellies. He was never a guy who scored in troves, but when he did it was always nice.
I agree about Crosby, I’m glad you put him in his rightful spot, he is very skilled with the puck and not only scoring, but creating scoring opportunities
NoahRose18 because he's been in the league for such a short amount of time, and this list was of retired nhl players...except Crosby who has been in the league for over 10 years and will go down in history as one of the top 5 greatest nhl players ever.
Maybe its just because I grew up with the SJS vs CGY rivalry (Im a sharks fan) but I love Theo Fleury and really think he was underrated. Every time he touched the puck in San Jose the crowd would burst in to a roar of boos and then he would shut everyone up by scoring an awesome goal. He is my all time fav player and always thought he was great to watch.
Personally I think the list was mixed up with great players, not just based on entertainment and excitement. Yes Bobby Orr was fantastic and so is Sidney Crosby, but I've been to a couple Pittsburgh games and he sort of just showed up when he needed to but wasn't getting the crowd riled up if he wasn't scoring. When I got to watch Datsyuk play you noticed him constantly, he didn't just score great goals he just seemed to be doing everything when he was on the ice. I feel like when it comes down to the entertainment factor players like Bure and Datsyuk should've gotten the top couple spots and players like Sid should've been pushed down. That doesn't mean they're worse than Datsyuk and Bure just that they weren't the same kind of entertainers.
Besides Ovi and the Rocket, which he mentioned, Cam Neely. Also Gordie Howe, who I consider GOAT. And Gretzky is way too low on this list. Was glad to see Bure made this list.
Kudos for including Fedex. This dude was second to none to bring puck into zone through traffic. And on the boards... Only Mario was doing same thing as well.
I would have liked to see Paul Kariya somewhere on this list - or the "dynamic duo" if illegible. To me, Kariya was as exciting as Bure! He would score even with two guys on his back, from backhand or on his knees! His speed and puckhandling were amazing and he had a Gretzky-like vision of play.
Crosby is my favorite player and my personal Goat and I wouldn’t have him that high he’d be off the list for me Crosby just does everything right not overly exciting besides his earlier days
Its rare for someone under the age of 50 say that Orr was the greatest ever. Most just say Gretzky. Never saw Orr, but how amazing he had to be to win two scoring titles as a dman.
No one will ever doubt the production and the longevity of Howe, but I don't think anyone would consider him an overly exciting player. Gordie was know for skating in straight lines, not weaving between defenders at great speed or definitive creativity in his stick-handling.
Jacob Sckena he says in the video: "the most exciting player of all time no guestion about this one is bobby orr. He is the best player of all time..."
Ovi has always been my favourite player because of the amazing and exciting things he does every game. Mcdavid is like that as well. But imo Crosby has never been an exciting player to watch. He's the best, but not as entertaining

I'm shocked Ovechkin didn't make this list.
is the most exciting only superstar wthin Keith tkachuk hit and score ovechkin 2623 hit in1003 game 607 goal

the rocket didn't make the list either.

Steve Ott you were the most exciting I watch. Your ability to win face offs, your chirps, and when you score.
Thanks
I agree totally . It's opinion based obviously but to me Crosby is definitely not on this list .
Peter Forsberg and Teemu Selänne should´ve made the list too :-)
Bure is the only player I've seen who skated faster when he had the puck than without it.
Ovi at one should be a no brainer but I already know since you're a huge Crosby homer that won't be the case
Lmao I knew it
Ovi is as exciting as paint drying on the wall. He was barely moving in last campaign. But at least he hustles back to D

I miss Denis Savard.
im surprised Connor McDavid didnt make the list . He does something unreal at least once a game .
NoahRose18 because he's been in the league for such a short amount of time, and this list was of retired nhl players...except Crosby who has been in the league for over 10 years and will go down in history as one of the top 5 greatest nhl players ever.
Connor still has his mom's milk on his lips.

Crosby more exciting than Ovechkin? Ok.........
Actually, I think so - yes
Top ten worst hockey players to win a Stanley Cup
Colton Tittle every team has bad players. That’s just how it works.
Wild card: I think Dominik Hasek deserved a spot too!
Ima keep it real witchu chief, Datsyuk is much more entertaining than Crosby
Pettersson makes me rise out of my seat. So happy he’s ours 😍😍😍
Been loving the recent vids dude! Keep it up
Can you construct same kind of list from goalies, I'm goalie myself, although in different sport. I love goalies
Can't wait to see an updated version with Elias Pettersson on it. Kid is dynamite!

Howie Morenz, Peter Forsberg, Patrick Kane, Denis Savard, Al Macinnis, Alex Kovalev, Scott Stevens
Love the list. Although he's defensive I gotta toss in Scott Stevens as a personal honourable mention hahaha
Best hockey channel. Sucks about the regulations.
Heh heh, that one time from the left is going to give Alex more goals than Gretz. Mark my words.
Top 10 most underrated goaltenders of all time, top 10 most aggressive goalies of all time, or top 10 nhl goaltender fighters of all time
Kudos for including Fedex. This dude was second to none to bring puck into zone through traffic. And on the boards... Only Mario was doing same thing as well.
Great Video
Kane and Forsberg would for sure be on my list
Its a shame that Bure and Orr had relatively short careers, we were robbed of so many more potential highlight reel goals
Why they never show highlight when Bure dives forward to shoot puck and scores?
I knew Bobby Orr would be number one. There is no other choice.
Gilbert Perreault
Make a video about the best goal/point scorers per age of the player (like, for example, best 25 year old player, best 40 year old player)
That shirt!😂👌
Im a bit concerned how McDavid isn't on this list, but still a great one :D
I've read that the Rocket and Howie Morenz were some of the most exciting players of all time.
Before seeing Top3 I thought there's still 4 players worth being there. Pavel Bure, Mario Lemieux, Bobby Orr and Alex Ovechkin.
Can you name best player per number 1-99
Crosby is my favorite player and my personal Goat and I wouldn’t have him that high he’d be off the list for me Crosby just does everything right not overly exciting besides his earlier days
Vince Basile yeah like crosby does what he has to do
McDavid #1🙌
Can't believe Lindros isn't on here
As a wings fan, federov is one of my favorite players
thanks for the tip
Mitch Marner will be on this list one day so fun to watch
Hey what about Kaner
Its rare for someone under the age of 50 say that Orr was the greatest ever. Most just say Gretzky. Never saw Orr, but how amazing he had to be to win two scoring titles as a dman.
Wow no Denis Savard for exciting??? Thumbs down
Eddie Shore and Maurice Richard should have been on the list.
Have not watched but picking Denis Savard
Dominic hasek, Scott Stevens, Eric lindros, Austin Mathews, Connor Mcdavid?
Modano? Ovi? Selanne?
no.
Maurice Richard was the f**king man!
How about Gordie Howe?? (Mr. Hockey),
No one will ever doubt the production and the longevity of Howe, but I don't think anyone would consider him an overly exciting player. Gordie was know for skating in straight lines, not weaving between defenders at great speed or definitive creativity in his stick-handling.
should be long before Ovy pass Federov and honestly not too sure why Federov was Before ovy have you seen all the beautiful goal he did
I think you forgot about John Scott...
Um.......had he ever seen a little known player called Alex Ovechkin?
Bobby Orr isn't the best player of all time
Alicia Angel yes he is
Personally, I think Gretzky is the GOAT. Bobby Orr is put second. I think Gretzky’s records put him over the top of Orr’s skill.
Alicia Angel, the guy never said he was. This list is the 10 most exciting players, not the 10 best players.
Jacob Sckena he says in the video: "the most exciting player of all time no guestion about this one is bobby orr. He is the best player of all time..."
Well ya got me there. Guess I wasn't paying attention to that part of the video or something so my b
Ovi has always been my favourite player because of the amazing and exciting things he does every game. Mcdavid is like that as well. But imo Crosby has never been an exciting player to watch. He's the best, but not as entertaining
most entertaining goalies?
Lemieux is propably here..
Trent Klatt?
Fedorov 💛 🇷🇺
ovechkin is the most exciting player only superstar wthin Keith tkachuk hit and score oveckhin 2623 hit in 1003 game 607 goal
Why is Crosby on this list 💤
Wayne Gretzky was rigged
Wayne Gretzky is the best player of all time, Bobby Orr is 3rd at the best. Best D-man tho
Steve Ott, ummm I'm the goat
Crosby is not as exciting as Datsyuk or Fedorov
No McDavid, no like
Top 10 Boring Shutdown Role Players
No one my age (14) really knows that Federov is a hart trophy winner. Hell, most of those people don’t know who he is
