Just in case you're wondering, this opening plays when you're about to read Last Note, and in order to do that, you have to finish all 8 Episodes beforehand. So don't worry, no one will be spoiled by this opening at the very least.

I like how the rules of mystery are mentioned with each chapter name
1) The criminal must be someone mentioned in early part of the story, but must not be anyone whose thoughts the reader has been allowed to follow.
2) All supernatural or preternatural agencies are ruled out as a matter of course.
3) Not more than one secret room or passage is allowable.
4) No hitherto undiscovered poisons may be used, nor any appliance which will need a long scientific explanation at the end.
5) No accident must ever help the detective, nor must he ever have an unaccountable intuition which proves to be right.
6) The detective must not himself commit the crime.
7) The detective must not light on any clues which are not instantly produced for the inspection of the reader.
Umineko is truly a thesis on the mystery genre and with mixed in fantasy it becomes the epic which I will never ever forget.
I'm really am glad that these rules of mystery is already outdated today. Because if these rules still applies today...then there would be only a handful of mystery novels would exist...and they might have the same type of plotlines and themes.

As much as I love the updated Alchemist art, I feel like this is a case where the OP actually flowed better in the initial version that used Ryukishi's stuff.
They try and cram in so many shots of their fancy art that they often end up breaking from the flow of the song's rhythm. It's especially noticeable around the chorus.

the illustration for the pc, Battler is kinda turned away while Beato faces the audience reaching out her hand, rather welcoming. The image that replaces it, it seems to be the other way around. Beato is turned away while Battler faces the audience.

I'm a bit confused. I found this song on Spotify under Ciconia's album. As far as I can tell, they are absolutely the same. Are they used on both games or something?
This song was not in ciconia, I'm not sure why it's on that album.
Umineko Saku and Ciconia phase 1 came out at same time so why not include the ops in 1 album

Hello! You can use them by applying the 07th Mod patch on the steam game, or you can download the Umineko Project port! (The latter is the best option).
@Cunning Linguist It's being worked on. Hane is already out. Saku is about to be finished, just a few days more. As for the rest of the arcs, they are all available.
@Cunning Linguist One of the UP team members (OA) said she will try to make the port happen using the same engine (She is also from the 07th Mod team)
