  • Laser cleaning can be extremely satisfying to watch, but one can’t help but wonder: How does it work? How does the laser manage to clean only the rusty surface of certain metals while leaving the surface underneath safe and clean?
In this video, we bring you five examples of this type of laser cleaning and we dare you not to be impressed as we explain and demonstrate how they work.
Experience how a rusty engine is cleaned of rust to become shiny and new again; witness as a bike has impurities and contaminants removed with high precision!
Have we piqued your curiosity yet? Do you want to see laser cleaning machines work in action? Are you curious about the science, engineering, and technology behind rust and mold laser cleaning? Then, do not miss this video. Enjoy!

If you have low requirements for laser cleaning and only remove rust or thin paint of stainless steel , mild steel and iron, CW laser cleaning machine can meet the requirements. CW laser cleaning machine power support 1000W 1500W 2000W .
Pulsed laser cleaning machine with pulse laser source and galvo clean head. If you have high-value products need clean that must be use pulsed laser cleaning machine system.

When the laser makes contact on the material it turns the rust and other materials you are cleaning into sound frequencies that are generated into sound.
The sound you hear on the video that sounds like a guitar is actually the material transforming into sound frequency.
    True story!

BEWARE UA-camrs of these cheap cleaning lasers! (not ALL Chinese lasers are bad, but do your homework)...most of these thing are 'toys"
    1. Avoid anything with a Raycus laser diode (they are getting better, but there is a reason why they are so cheap...most won't last a year...)
    2. Don't get a unit that cleans AND welds (they do neither well)
    3. Get a unit with USA tech support (from a dealer....avoid Amazon/Alibaba, or you WILL be sorry)
    4. Get a unit that has a chiller for the diode (for a continuous wave laser like the one in this video)...pulse wave up to 300w is ok without
    5. Make sure the head has an air blade (keeps the protective lenses cleaner much longer/ extends optics life)
    6. Continuous Wave lasers are usually the way to go (unless doing thin material/ Aluminum / heat treat scale)....then go to a pulse laser
    7. Don't use they eyewear that comes with the laser cleaner (they are always OD 5...should be at least OD 7+ @ 1.0 - 1.1 nm range wavelength)
    8. Don't use welding goggles as eyewear (totally different wavelength...won't protect eyes at all)
    9. Bescutter is probably the best entry level cleaning laser / bang for the buck...has a 2 year on sight service warranty
    10. If USA made cleaning lasers are in your budget I'd recommend Laser Marking Technologies (1/2 the price of the big boys with better core and optics)
    11. Ask for references....folks who have been using them for a while will be glad to share the good, the bad and the ugly
