After getting my new camera, we started our Kinabatangan River tour. We arrived at the lodge and settled in before going on our first cruise. We were incredibly lucky and saw pygmy elephants, hornbills, crocodiles, proboscis monkeys, and many more!

Sabah Malaysia is very near in Palawan Philippines when you move to the Last Frontier of the Philippines which is Balabac Palawan you meet a lot of Malaysian over there, and believe me Balabac beaches in Palawan is Better than Maldives. Check out the video of Finn Snow he was visiting there
Looks like you got really lucky with wildlife! What month were you there? Also any recommendations on best places to go for an efficient 7d 7n trip of borneo flying into kota kinabalu? I'm leaning towards just sticking to Sabah but not sure if its worth it to fly to Sarawak. Thank you!

Cool resort with a cracking location. Your room is very swish - nice upgrade. Amazing for you guys to see the elephants and that croc looked huge! So much wildlife - such a great trip. We'd love to see a Hornbill and hope we will in Dec. Nice boogy at the end guys 🙂👍

That’s because of the shrimp.. one of laksa Sarawak ingredients is shrimp paste.. just remember if order fried noodle/mee goreng, do inform them not to add shrimps.. Anyway, nice resort with nice room.. how come you didn’t dance? 😊🤗 but I’m glad that all of you had a good time there.. it sure feels good around here, right? 😀✌️🤟🏻
Yaaaaaay! I know right, but apparently in the laksa it was because there was some peanut in the paste that we didn't know about! And I had shrimps at other times and was fine... definitely a strange one - who knows! I did dance but only a little... and of course, you wouldn't want to see that 😂 feels os good around here buddy! Hope you're all good!

I remembered my first time watching the pygmy elephants last year at Kinabatangan River. After waiting for about half an hour to watch a group of elephants crossed river. It was very overwhelming moment!

Omg! That dinner place in kinabatangan just look so interesting and awesome! This place is remind me when I went to another bar in Texas. You know what I mean like dancing, have fun together with those background song and beautiful bright lights in the building. The difference thing is just there are no alcohol in that dinner :)
It was an amazing place to have the opportunity to visit! Hope it brought back some good memories... I hope to get to visit Texas one day!

You should visit Danum Valey! Its a jungle that is OLDER than the Amazon jungle! Theres a waterfall and many people go there to have fun!

Hey Laura! Thanks so much! Definitely recommend River Junkie, their comms were great and we had the best time on the tour... if only we'd had longer! It was called the Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort (bit of a mouthful!) If you're in the area, you MUST visit the Kinabatangan River!
If you have chance you should try the highest flying fox in Malaysia located in Kota Belud,Sabah.The place name Borneo Bayau Flying Fox.The view is really awesome next to Mount Kinabalu.

Kinabatangan River, Malaysia's second longest after Rajang River in Sarawak. Malaysia's extremities are mostly in Borneo highest mountain, longest river, biggest cave, state with most numerous islands (Sabah), longest mountain range, largest land mass (60% of Malaysia is in Borneo)..
Isn't East Malaysia just incredible 😍
@@LozsLeisure Indeed! East Malaysia is stunningly beautiful and varied physically and culturally. I am from Malaysia, from Kedah but living in KL. I've never been to East Malaysia. Like to visit some day.
I wonder - from your perspective as a person who doesn't speak Malay, do you notice the Malay accent and dialect change as you move to different parts of the country? Or do they all just sound the same to you? (Linguistically curious 😀 )
To be honest I can't really tell - I think because I don't speak enough to even partially understand most of the time. That being said, I think if people from different parts of Malaysia were to speak next to each other then perhaps I could tell a difference... but only perhaps 😂
Definitely Malay accents in Malaysia are numerous and varied! I am from Kedah, Kedah Malay is definitely different from Malay in other parts of Malaysia. I lived in US dozen of yrs, but when I open my mouth to speak Malay in Malaysia, another Malaysian would ask me "Are you from Kedah?" and when I say "Yes", he/she responds "That explains it, your thick Kedah accent!". And all the while I thought I was speaking Kuala Lumpur/Selangor Malay! Hahaha! Even in Kedah, different parts of the state has different Kedah accents.

What does it feel to be disconnected for a while from the internet....unless they have wifi which i doubt. Haha. Nonetheless you have the wildlife and insects screaming.
IT's nice to be disconnected for a time I think! There was no wifi here but some 3G further down the river at some of the other lodges I think. For me if I know I'm going to be disconnected it can be great, it's more if I get disconnected without knowing before hand and need to do something important that's when I find it hard!

Mainly I use the Sony RX100 V, but for the shots with longer zoom I used my new Canon SX740 HS 👍
