    Funniest warming up of a sub I’ve ever seen was Liverpool v Leeds in the league cup a few years back I’m sitting front row of the main stand, James Milner is doin his stretches, this really randy 50 year old woman from the row behind just starts shoutin “ooo that’s it stretch it Milly, ooo they don’t make Yorkshire men like you anymore” 😂😂

    Can’t believe how satisfying these podcasts are. The interviewers perfectly sum up how little the average person knows about the day to day life of a top footballer but really wants to find out. Peter is brilliant his sometimes incredulous responses to questions.

      B Hew I know what articulate means. He dosen’t use any particularly difficult words, no «great» explainations either.
      Just very simply created sentences. No exceptional ability. Just very basic.

      @@benjaminhooper6076 Articulate basically means 'confident speaker' to most people these days i.e. everyone misuses it. Crouch is average as far as articulation goes.

    The reason a lot of managers used Crouch as a substitute was he offered a unique threat, it was a tactical switch up to bring him on. If they started crouch it was fairly predictable how they was going to play.

    Never liked this guy as a player, always got the impression he was arrogant.. don't ask why! But have to say my views have totally changed on him, ever since his comment about his own wife. I can not help but respect and admire this man's humbleness and openess. More players should be like him, but sadly they are living in this make-believe bubble.

    Takes a lot of balls to admit the reality of being a sub. He could have said 'it's part and parcel of the game, even the best players are a sub sometimes no-one even thinks about it.' When he said that he felt ostracised the day before the game I really felt that.
