Ever since I was a little kid, I knew that I was different in some way (not better than anyone, just DIFFERENT). However, this realization adopted a more negative connotation when I went through adolescence. I didn't have (or want) that much of a social life, I was always the quiet kid in the room, and I'm a huge introvert. My personality/lifestyle didn't coalesce with societal expectations, so I naturally thought that something was wrong with me, that I had to improve/change in some way. When I went into adulthood, I wasn't initially true to who I was anymore. I developed a very destructive inferiority complex; I thought that if someone didn't like me, it was because of something that *I* said or did. I was the archetypal people-pleaser, and I felt that if people liked me, it would vindicate that nothing was wrong with me. I based my self-esteem on what others thought of me, which was a BIG MISTAKE!! After spending a lot of time in solitude, I was able to rediscover who I was. I found my inner kid. After having several toxic encounters with people who exhibited narcissistic mentalities, I also rediscovered the don't-give-a-fuck attitude that I also used to have as a kid. Don't get me wrong, I care greatly about the well-beings of others, but if they don't accept me for who I am, I will NOT light myself on fire just to keep them warm. Find your true self, find your inner kid. Remember, as kids (elementary school-aged), we were our truest selves; as adults, we try so hard to be something we're not. In adolescence, that's when we're first inundated with all of these toxic societal messages and stigmas. We lose our true selves as we become young adults. Today, I have one close friend, and I LOVE my alone time; I embrace myself as a lone wolf. Diversity of perspective - along with relative abundance of solitude - cultivates self-awareness. Your birth gives you existence, but self-awareness is what makes you feel ALIVE! Embrace who you are... and LIVE!

We don't often hear the downsides of being stereotypically Sigma, but there are some. Firstly... Sigma men are AWFUL social organisers. They can do it very well, they just have very little inclination. It is one of the things they actually need and depend upon their family, friends, and partners for, and truly appreciate in others. Because they don't always feel sociable and want to sit to the side or move around as they see fit when they do, they like to be invited into group social situations rather than arrange them. Secondly... They can appear emotionally detatched and unavailable in relationships because they are slow to experience and rarely display primal emotions like jealousy, anger, sadness etc... if and when a snipet of one escapes, their partner thinks there must be a constant tumult lurking beneath the surface that they cover up, rather than the truth - it is rare to see a raw unprocessed emotion, because they are always processing. There are not a load of levels of self-expression and vulnerability that they will gradually open up with time either. Sigma feeling slightly disappointed - "I'll be OK, just not great at the moment" Sigma feeling absolutely devasted - "I'll be OK, just not great at the moment" The deeper layer they do hide is their hopes and dreams about life. Sigma male's continual strategising to achieve their deepest desires rarely involves actually disclosing them, and their introspection leads them to question and modify these goals over time anyway. Setting something in stone by saying it out loud is highly risky for a Sigma, as they then feel an obligation to make it happen. This is where the "if he tells you he is going to do something big, he will" thing comes from, because they say it out loud to fully commit and obligate himself to doing it. This is not the same as "I might" or "I'd like to" or "I am thinking about" - if a Sigma says "I will" then don't stand in his way unless you're ready to get trampled.
That is why we always fall in friendzone, women seek bad boys and alpha males. When they got hurt they come to us to speak and we are a good listeners 😂

There is a hospitalist “Dr.” who tried his best to date her and she picked me. I never tried to pursue this woman just talked to her. I have noticed women gravitate to me and I consider myself an average man.

Well. I am not getting tired of commenting this, but in my opinion this sigma male concept which seems to go quite viral on youtube these days is an idealist view of how man (and sigma woman?) should act and behave in this world to get the utmost success in their career, their personal life, but most importantly when it comes to happiness and spiritual development. And granted, would Every man be a perfect sigma male, we all would be living in a much better world. (Even though I doubt that society as we know it today would run smoothly if it was made out of only sigma males). Nonetheless, there is one thing I really don’t like about this sigma male concept. Often it is said, that in order to be a sigma male you have to be highly intelligent. What does that even mean? An exceptionally high IQ? In that case most men would never have the chance to ever rise to sigma male “status”. But as it is shown in this video, most sigma male characteristics stem from attitude and behavior and can thus be learned, trained and integrated in real life. Hence, everyone should be able to rise to sigma level. 😂

Social intelligence with reference to high empathy, "put yourself in other's shoes" in a matter of seconds and understand the problem person have. No matter how hard you try this cannot be learned, it can be faked (when you work in hospitality business) but people see through that, guest refer to it as "fake care". I think it is wrong to try to be something you are not, it is better to develop yourself in the character you are and correct some flaws and not try to become something other. Alpha and Beta, they can't turn in to a Sigma, same for Sigma to be other. If you got active mind that is rushing trough out the day and you don't need others much, you are most likely Sigma.

However, some people like the sigma male might have more natural talent than other types in that regard. I suspect that a majority are NT dominant. The 4 "NT" types are all fairly rare in men, but way more so in women. All 4 are in the bottom 5 of the least common types for women, which would explain why women find sigmas mysterious/enigmatic and/or difficult to understand. ENTJ is probably the type I would least associate with Sigma as I think they tend to be more Sigma leaning Alphas - their type is ideal for positions of leadership and great responsibility, so they tend to get enticed towards that, which necessitates setting aside their lone wolf instincts. Strongly extroverted ENTPs are probably too sociable and open to be stereotypical Sigmas and are probably more Alpha/Beta with Sigma leanings. But, as an ENTP who is eNTp (only 2% more E than I, and 5% more P than J), I fit most of the Sigma stereotype. My Grandfather is probably the most stereotypically Sigma man I have ever known, and he was an INTJ.

@michaelaesparza5804 I don't regard the typology as absolute or constant. I used to be solidly ENTJ, but my personality slowly evolved between 20 & 30 towards less extroverted, and the P/J swapped. The thing I have always had, and the thing that comes out consistently if I ask somebody who knows me well to "diagnose" me by answering the test as they think it applies to me, is the dominant NT. As such, SF is a bit of a foreign land to my brain. The I/E and P/J are weak enough that awareness of the other NT types is necessary to make best use of the insights - if I have taken on a major challenging task at work that I am very interested in, I can flip into ENTJ mode quite easily. If I am not busy, left to my own devices, and not seeing much of other people, I can also drift off into my own thoughts and intellectual curiosities like a full blown INTP.

The deeper layer they do hide is their hopes and dreams about life. Sigma male's continual strategising to achieve their deepest desires rarely involves actually disclosing them, and their introspection leads them to question and modify these goals over time anyway. Setting something in stone by saying it out loud is highly risky for a Sigma, as they then feel an obligation to make it happen. This is where the "if he tells you he is going to do something big, he will" thing comes from, because they say it out loud to fully commit and obligate himself to doing it. This is not the same as "I might" or "I'd like to" or "I am thinking about" - if a Sigma says "I will" then don't stand in his way unless you're ready to get trampled.

Would like to agree with you. The only problem is I was able to date one of the top 4 women in the hospital at work. I hold an average position and she has an accomplished career. There is a hospitalist “Dr.” who tried his best to date her and she picked me. I never tried to pursue this woman just talked to her. I have noticed women gravitate to me and I consider myself an average man.

Well. I am not getting tired of commenting this, but in my opinion this sigma male concept which seems to go quite viral on youtube these days is an idealist view of how man (and sigma woman?) should act and behave in this world to get the utmost success in their career, their personal life, but most importantly when it comes to happiness and spiritual development. And granted, would Every man be a perfect sigma male, we all would be living in a much better world. (Even though I doubt that society as we know it today would run smoothly if it was made out of only sigma males).
Nonetheless, there is one thing I really don’t like about this sigma male concept. Often it is said, that in order to be a sigma male you have to be highly intelligent. What does that even mean? An exceptionally high IQ? In that case most men would never have the chance to ever rise to sigma male “status”. But as it is shown in this video, most sigma male characteristics stem from attitude and behavior and can thus be learned, trained and integrated in real life. Hence, everyone should be able to rise to sigma level. 😂
I think this sigma stuff just describes the lone wolf strong silent type. Guys who are confident without outside validation.

Social intelligence with reference to high empathy, "put yourself in other's shoes" in a matter of seconds and understand the problem person have. No matter how hard you try this cannot be learned, it can be faked (when you work in hospitality business) but people see through that, guest refer to it as "fake care".
I think it is wrong to try to be something you are not, it is better to develop yourself in the character you are and correct some flaws and not try to become something other. Alpha and Beta, they can't turn in to a Sigma, same for Sigma to be other.
If you got active mind that is rushing trough out the day and you don't need others much, you are most likely Sigma.
@@npfunmedia I think the social Intelligence muscle can be Trained by almost everyone, it just takes some awareness and willingness and modesty. However, some people like the sigma male might have more natural talent than other types in that regard.
What you call fake care sounds to me like people trying to work for their own advantage by manipulating others. doing that successfully requires talent too, sure. Psychopath’s do that successfully for example. Yeah, and then finally there might be very few empathical Legasthenics who might even be good people but lack the sensors to read any kind of people

I suspect that a majority are NT dominant.
The 4 "NT" types are all fairly rare in men, but way more so in women. All 4 are in the bottom 5 of the least common types for women, which would explain why women find sigmas mysterious/enigmatic and/or difficult to understand.
ENTJ is probably the type I would least associate with Sigma as I think they tend to be more Sigma leaning Alphas - their type is ideal for positions of leadership and great responsibility, so they tend to get enticed towards that, which necessitates setting aside their lone wolf instincts.
Strongly extroverted ENTPs are probably too sociable and open to be stereotypical Sigmas and are probably more Alpha/Beta with Sigma leanings.
But, as an ENTP who is eNTp (only 2% more E than I, and 5% more P than J), I fit most of the Sigma stereotype. My Grandfather is probably the most stereotypically Sigma man I have ever known, and he was an INTJ.
@@robw7676 Interesting! I am more of an introverted ENTJ and have strong sigma traits (don't need a large crowd, keep to myself, always bull dozing forward, etc...). My gf is INTJ and also has those sigma traits. It is an interesting dynamic... Always on the go (me leading of course) on adventures of some sort. She brings me down a notch when needed. 🙂 Cheers!!!

I don't regard the typology as absolute or constant. I used to be solidly ENTJ, but my personality slowly evolved between 20 & 30 towards less extroverted, and the P/J swapped.
The thing I have always had, and the thing that comes out consistently if I ask somebody who knows me well to "diagnose" me by answering the test as they think it applies to me, is the dominant NT. As such, SF is a bit of a foreign land to my brain. The I/E and P/J are weak enough that awareness of the other NT types is necessary to make best use of the insights - if I have taken on a major challenging task at work that I am very interested in, I can flip into ENTJ mode quite easily. If I am not busy, left to my own devices, and not seeing much of other people, I can also drift off into my own thoughts and intellectual curiosities like a full blown INTP.
