- Based on his Partita #3 for Solo Violin (BWV 1006.1), this piece was arranged by J. S. Bach (1685-1750) for other instruments. It was cataloged as BWV 1006a, but was updated to BWV 1006.2. Wikipedia has the following information on the Preludio for the original Partita:
"The Preludio consists almost entirely of semiquavers (i.e. sixteenth notes). The Preludio was also transcribed by Bach for use in two cantatas:
the sinfonia which opens the second part of the 1729 cantata Herr Gott, Beherrscher aller Dinge, BWV 120a.
the opening sinfonia, scored for obbligato organ, oboes, trumpets and strings, of the 1731 cantata Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir, BWV 29, in D major"

Fantastic!
Ohhh i love it
The happiest composition in all the Classical repitoire when performed by full Orchestra, (as arranged by Leopold Stokowski).
yes guys its too fast but from my experience these type of bach pieces are more fun to play faster ( if you're the person playing )
❤
Left hand vs right hand; who won the race?
I wish i could see the hands
nope. too fast.
yes, too fast, but nice
Playback speed: 0.75. Then it is perfect.
This piano version of Prelude is better than violin, because violin is played in the higher pitch while piano is played in middle pitch.
Katsaris, your tempo is too fast, it's better you use the metronome to keep your speed steady, like =105BPM.
At least, good attempt. Keep it up.
