- Live Demontration of Egg Collection and Embryo Transfer in IVF Part 5. The process of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) involves many important steps. Improvements in ovulation induction, oocyte retrieval and laboratory techniques to achieve maximal rates of fertilization and embryo development have resulted in at least one embryo transfer in 90 % of all cases where oocytes have been retrieved (1). Embryo transfer (ET) is the final and most crucial step of IVF. The successful pregnancy outcome is predicted by the implantation of embryo in uterus.
The process of implantation involves two main components, a healthy embryo that should have the potential to implant and a receptive endometrium that should enable implantation. The “cross-talk” between the embryo and the endometrium that finally leads to apposition, attachment and invasion of embryos is mandatory for successful implantation and subsequent normal placentation. [2.3]. Any abnormality attributed to the embryo, the endometrium or the immune system will result in implantation failure. Therefore, travelling per se will not affect any of the above factors responsible for implantation of embryo.
Earlier there were many studies to evaluate the effect of bed rest on pregnancy rates after embryo transfer. This is the first study to compare the pregnancy rates in patients who travelled to their countries with the patients who stayed back in Delhi after embryo transfer.
Materials and Methods
A retrospective analysis was done in 100 infertile females with age till 40 years who underwent IVF from January 2016 to June 2016. They were divided in 2 groups - the females who went back to their own country after 3 days of embryo transfer (48 females - Group 1) and who stayed back in Delhi (52 females - Group 2). The mean patient age, number of embryos transferred (1,2,3,4), grade (a or b), easy or difficult transfer and endometrial thickness are comparable in both the groups.

I have adenomyosis and I'm on implanon to help with the bleeding. I also do not have both of my fallopian tube. Can I try ivf ? How long after removal of implanon can I start?

Yes it is safe and procedure takes 10-15mins
Hi dr kaberi ma’am, could you explain how do you clean the perineum and vulvae before inserting cusco.. do you use a sims to visualise and then clean inside ..and drape there after ?
yes we clean
it depends upon the procedure
sometimes with normal saline and sometimes with betadine solution

Is 6.5mm endometrial thickness fine for embroyo transfer ?
Ideally endometrial thickness more than 7-8mm is good for embryo transfer
Mam,is this process is very very painfull, n does anaesthesjia is given before,this process...n how long the process is....
egg collection process is for about 20-25min.
After anaesthesia little heaviness can be there

Mam,does laproscopy is requred in before ivf,....is it a surgery,n pain full...
@@sohinimitra5458 Laparoscopy is a surgery and it is under anaesthesia.
laparoscopy needs depends upon your medical reports

Chances of implantation are still there it may be reduced by 10 to 15%

Hi Mam.. some time on Tamoxifen cycle ET grows very fast on day 8 or 9 ET becomes 7 to 8 mm.. Is there any day criteria for FET cycle? Can we start progesterone so early?
You have to follow the follicle size also and if there is a dominant follicle give HCG and then start progesterone two days later

Egg collection is under anaesthesia and embryo transfer can also be done under anaesthesia

Hanji karwa sakte hai kyuk hume studies ki hai ki embryo transfer under anaesthesia or without anaesthesia karwao,result par koi effect nai padta

Mam if I'vf icsi is done in proper way and suscues Raye is also good but in some hospitals people are cheated
We can’t talk of other hospitals dear but in our hospital ICSI is done by experts. It is mainly indicated where there is low sperm count or sperm has low motility and poor morphology.

There are different methods to prepare Endometrial lining so you have to show to IVF specialist.
