STORYLINE:
Amid jubilant celebrations Poland became part of an enlarged European Union at midnight (2200GMT) on Friday, one of ten nations to join the enlarged bloc.
Crowds gathered in Warsaw's Pilsudski Square to listen to a classical concert and at the clock turned to midnight Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski raised the flag of the European Union whilst fireworks exploded in the sky.
Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus and Malta also joined the EU on Saturday, taking the bloc's membership to 25.
Celebrations are being held in towns and cities across Europe.
But Friday's celebrations were tempered by fears in the newcomer nations of steep price increases for consumer goods, and worries in the EU's 15 core member states of a flood of immigrants as national borders gradually disappear.

İn a Turkish history show on TV, they explain a story. A famous historian said that because in 1768 Russia, Austuria, Prussia occupied Polland, Ottomans tried to help to Polland but they couldn’t. So Ottomans didn’t recognised this occupation and following 150 years Ottoman Sultans left an empty seat in palace for Polland Ambassador. In every welcoming ceromony, Sultan was asking “where is Polland ambassador?” Answer was, he is on the way.
They claimed in this TV show that President of Polland in this speech said “Polland Ambassador is here” as first words.
Is that true? Is he telling such a word in his speech?
not 1500s 1768

We (Ottomans) waited for Polish ambassador to come for 150 years. We never ever accepted invasion of Poland by Russia and Austria. I wonder if Polish people are aware of this brotherhood from our side...
As a Pole, I can say that Poles remember our shared history, and it is commonly taught in our schools. Greetings from Poland!
too many cuts;/ where is the full version?

The people were thinking FREE MONEY BOYSS
Or... BYE RUSSIA!

Polish Ambassador has come!

One day it will be Russia!
why?
Filips May It would be economically and politically profitable for us. It doesn’t mean we have to take in migrants at all, but EU is a good idea if realized correctly. If Russia will manage to get a democratic government and we will join the EU, both sides will benefit. Russia will help you with military and natural resources, and EU will help Russia advance economically, therefore making Europe independent from the United States or China.
@@glebsokolov9959 NO, there is not way Poland will ever give itself away to Russia. Poland and the Polish people fought for indigence from Russia. Nobody likes Russia in Europe! Poland is doing quite well compared to the UK, France, and Germany. Soon Poland will leave the EU. If Poland did become part of Russia again then the people of Poland would viciously rebel for Independence just like they did in the past. We are very proud of our beautiful county and we are the most Nationalist country in Europe!
Filips May I think you misunderstood me. As a Russian myself, I would never want Russia to invade Poland, I meant just Russia joining the E.U. Poland does fully deserve to be independent just like any European country, and I think Russia must PUBLICLY apologize or its actions during the Soviet era, despite the fact that we are not USSR anymore and never will be. Also, the success of Poland is a direct cause of being a EU member with all the open access to their economic zone, plus you opted out from taking in non-European immigrants (good job with that btw), so why would you quit the EU?
@@glebsokolov9959 The European Union is controlled by Angela Merkel. Poland has a corrupt representative by the name of Donald Tusk. This man is payed by the Germans to sell Polish companies to Germany. Donald Tusk is also a part of the Polish P.O. liberal party. If he was to become the next president it would be absolutely catastrophic for the Polish people. He would only kill the country from the inside. This is why Poland needs to leave the EU and we have absolutely no choice.
