    When you strike, breath out hard. Never hold your breath and/or tense up. Palm-heel strike & hammer fist are my favorite go-to strikes; because they cause maximum damage!

    The flinch block is called that because that is the position that your hands go into while flinching. Usually it is acquired by talking with your hands high up by your face. If you start talking to someone in the flinch block stance; it is a form of blading and as a consequence you give up the element of surprise.

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  3 роки тому

      Yes. But I’ll trade the element of surprise for getting punched in the head. I can take a punch pretty well from getting punched a lot. Hahah. A lot of my older students shouldn’t risk it though. Just a different perspective.

      @@pasquinilli If you are so uncomfortable as to feel the need to, blade you should leave if able. On the other hand if you are in the habit of talking with your hands up high by your face, the flinch response should prevent you from getting sucker punched. By blading you may be you costing yourself 1 or1/2 second of your opponents reaction time, in case you need to do a pre-emptive strike. If it is necessary to use violence against multiple attackers the ability to attack from a seemingly innocent position may be the edge you need. Watch some of Tim Larkins videos.

      @@pasquinilli I thank YOI, Sensei! I've learned so much from you already. I would love to send a video of my progression with the bo and the nunchucks, for your critique and constructive comments/criticism if you would honor me either the time? Not sure if Warrior Status membership covers that aspect. But let me know if possible, and what I must do to upload this to you

      That's a great idea! Don't these things have pointy, titanium tips? I asked at the outdoor supply store, where I saw one, and the salesman said there was no problem walking around downtown with one of these things. Cool!

      It’s a century powerline wave master. There is not a cheap alternative but you can find them used at garage sales and on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist. They last forever.

    When you push hard-- do the palm heel strike RIGHT- it will also TWIST the neck UPWARD and give them whiplash at the very least!!! :)

    Palm-heel strikes ONLY-- never a FIST-- especially as we get OLDER- that fist will damager you sometimes MORE than it does THEM!!! .... YES_- ha- just as I typed that you mentioned palm- heel stirkes!!! ha. GREAT MINDS think alike.

  • @davidwayne9982
    @davidwayne9982 2 роки тому

    Barehanded- I'd SWEEP first-- take the foundation down-- or if I have my CANE (which I do most of the time) Crack that ankle bone-- it contains a LOT of nerves connnected to the rest of the body- makes the WHOLE body hurt-- especially if popped with a good hard piece of hickory moving at SPEED... and THAT alone will give you enough time to evaluate what to do next- whether attack or LEAVE.. IT NEVER fails-- even if they have boots on..I've never had it fail!!! IF you have to continue- that elbow attack you're teaching-- is masterful- and EXTREMELY effective--- just make sure you WANT to do serious damage!!!

  • @davidwayne9982

    People often ask me what the BEST weapon or tactic is--- and I always respond-- the best weapon-- is that grey mess right between yoru ears-- USE IT...and the best tactic?-- USE that gray matter and your eyes and ears and PAY ATTENTION to your surroundings at ALL times..

    Iv'e taken out seasoned boxers--- including GOLDEN GLOVES boxers.. and Quickly-- boxing is NOT the "end all- do all" that people think it is.. it's VERY flawed. FIRST point of taking ANY structure down-- including PEOPLE-- is REMOVE the foundation... if they can't stand- balance etc.- they're NOT fighting..

    At the same time with hands up like that, be TALKING-- saying " hey man, I don't want any trouble, alright?" -- or apologizing if its some fool arguing or drunk-- if it's a fighter- ShUT UP and be ready.
