Spirit of the Law's eyes must be twitching so bad right now.
Arena fast imp single farm incoming
you can also do it with 0 farms because you can just click on berries
It's a new tech called Transmutation
It's the Law of Equivalent Exchange
Counters the mule cart
😂😂😂😂😂
Well, let's hope it's fixed asap as possible
This is no ordinary spaghetti code. This is... _ADVANCED SPAGHETTI CODE_ .
previously when you try to drop a castle and your unit was on the foundation, that used to leave the foundation automatically. Now it keeps there forever and you need to move by yourself
I've noticed this as well.
Oh, I think I noticed this once, but chalked it up to something I did on accident. That makes sense though, it was right after the new patch.
I'm pretty sure this already happened in the previous patch too- very annoying
Ah yes, the bug that makes Dave go "MOOOO-!"
New patch, new absurd bugs 11
LET HIM COOK
Interesting for Forest Nothing.
without a gold pile, we only can convert wood into food, though
@@AnimeFan-dl4qd Yes, but getting food is one of the biggest challenges early in Forest Nothing, because you don't have much space to build farms. With the trick you can have 10 lumberjacks chop 100 wood, right-click on your first farm and deposit 100 food.
@@LJJ22I want to try this so bad, but I'm late finding it so for all I know they've already fixed it.
The genetically modified vills are now able to subsist on tree cellulose... Medieval dystopia
I noticed another small bug with this button. When you select large groups of villagers (10 or more), the button will be missing and you can't drop off resources. But if you split that group into say 2 groups of 5 villages, both subgroups have the button where it should be.
Age of Errors
It's not a bug, It's a feature 😂
sure bill.
As soon as possible as possible 😂
I hope it’s fixed as soon as ASAP as possible!
It should obviously be “as asap as possible”
Rip in peace!
Rest in RIP@@partlycurrent
smh my head
So it's coded to the villager "profession" (lumberjack etc.) but not to resources they carry
Yeah, though it's kinda weird the gold and stone didn't turn into wood but the wood did turn into food for farmers. But should be an easy fix, checking their resources instead of the profession
Every single time they implement something... They need to do a crumb of testing before, should be obvious
I agree with you. The problem however is that I think the QCs play normal games, normal build orders and just check if the feature works "as intended". They need to hire QCs like the spiffing brit who'll find everything that breaks the game because how annoying must the coding for this game be if dropping off resources causes dumb bugs like these
This feature has been part of the PuP and thousands of players tested it
It's more of a problem that you can't possibly test all the possibilities that will be found once millions of people start playing it
As usual, no one finds the problems until after it's released. And then when it's found it's some big emergency.
@@SheldonMcGeeIt's unfortunate that not all the people who look for these issues don't do so on the PUP.
as soon asap as possible
As soon as possible AS POSSIBLE!!

Yeah from what I’ve heard, the original programmers were absolute experts in C/C++ who were doing a ton of clever and whacky stuff to get the programming to work just right. As a result, it’s apparently really hard to work with it properly when it comes to systems updates like this
(All this is secondhand from what others have said so don’t take it as fact)
QC is playing fu campaigns...not even 1100 elo
Thata what the PUP is for
this sort of interaction should be the first edge case you try tho. Like, if you even try to think "what could be an edge case here?", wouldn't this be one of the first to come to mind?
@@user-sl6gn1ss8p yes, but the it wasn't noticed in the PuP as well
can't wait for phosphorus next 14 pop fc
"Hey Ferb! I know what we're going to abuse today!"
New and improved harvesting 🤩
I think it is fine sort of like how building a collection building or farm drop of all resources. But the food transmutation needs to be patched
this is actually just a more egregious version an already existing exploit which is now more easy to execute by the new hotkey. A lot of people consider it a "skill"
Isnt that pretty known? Like taking deer, then Take shorefish and drop the food in the dock? I mean its food for food, but the working concept is the Same No?
yup, same exploit.
In that case it's still the same resource, in this case it's different resources and converting resources.
Food is food, this is dropping of gold at a lumbercamp. The essence is the same, but "hunters" dropping food at docks not really a 'bug'. More of a design limitation.
Villagers shouldn't lose their food when you switch from deer to fish (that'd be stupid). But a villager will switch from hunter to fisher. Which inherently alllows you to drop food off at a dock. So combine those two (three) rules and it's just something you'll have to accept with the current system (and honestly, it's fine, doesn't matter really)-
This bug on the other hand, (even without being able to convert wood to food) is definitely a bug that can and should be fixed ASAP 11
Maybe the Burmese just like eating branches, historically accurate 👌
They also made it impossible to paint terrain in the scenario editor. Whenever you try, your camera automatically scrolls all to the right until you stop holding M1.
got to abuse that bug in forest nothing map
Crazy how they generate more than solve bugs with each patch...
R.I.P in peace AoE2
they also removed Shift clicking queue for garrisoning vills. Such bullshit.
How do you not catch this in testing? At this point it's almost like they're leaving bugs to generate content or something
Wow they broke the game after an update. Who would have guessed 😂
as soon as possible as possible
Can confirm. That is a nasty bug.
so it checks the villager's occupation to see what resource type it is dropping off, or where it can drop off held resources, that's a bit of a code smell right there 😂 also seemingly it's done differently between stone/gold and food/wood since not everything turns to food? I'd love to see how this is implemented
That’s putting food on the table 😂
Thanks for the tips! 😅
Alchemy!
hahaha that food thing was even worse
loool if anyone asks "what do you mean they break something everytime they do a patch!?!"
Thx for this eco tip!
The resource added must be inferred from the villager's 'profession' (farmer, lumberjack, ...).
However I think it's not because of the new hotkey. Rather the feature that once you click a new resource you get to keep all of the old resource carried.
In the old days all old resource was lost once you clicked a new type. (Carrying gold -> click wood -> lose carried gold).
It must be an old solution in the code that worked until now.
yes it's a feature in DE villagers that allows villagers to "drop off" resources at a different economic building when they build it. The new hotkey allows villagers to be routed to the wrong building and force the drop off. Several ways it can be fixed but yes it's piggybacking off a DE feature that wasn't in the original game
"And when I say asap I mean as soon as possible" - no way. Nobody could have thought that.
asap as possible - michael scott. he was setting up a reference
Last time I played, when you clicked different resource, the resource on the villager would simply disappear.
hahaha that was a looong time ago
Damn thats nuts. Imagine u have no food and u 2000 wood annnd have 30 villages on wood chopping, u highlight all villages on wood send them to a farm then click drop off resources them boom u have lots of food now. This is bad man, can be game changing
The second part is a problem, but the first part was already kind of in the game so it's not that big of a deal.
As a software developer myself, I am starting to think that these devs are all juniors straight out of college. How do you allow something like that to happen?? How was this not discovered during testing??
wow. that's pretty serious lol.
ALCHEMY!
They have a lot more fixing to do. Too many enemies and villages glitching. Getting stuck in walls. The pathfinding still sucks
How do you not test for this before release? Goofy.
I remember the good old times when you could reassign the vill to lose the resources on forest nothing to chop through faster, is that now also not possible anymore?
hasn't been for years
smh my head how could they let this happen
Hey Bipah, you can't shift-queue garrison vills either anymore, if you try to shift queue garrison the vill will hop in the Tc instantly. That sux =s
And tribut-payments in campagnes..
ETA 2 months til fix
Can't believe they added alchemy to the game!
YOU'LL EAT YOUR WOOD AND YOU'LL LIKE IT!
Every time they add something there's 50 bugs along with it lmao. Spaghetti code
Stop blaming the code! Everyone keeps going on about 20 year old code must be spaghetti code. Not all legacy code is badly written. The original game worked too well for the codebase to be that bad. It's the updates that suck not the codebase.
@@neildutoit5177yeah we all know these are simple one liner codes, definitely not spaghetti. AOE devs aren't that talented
I got 21 wood, too!
Looks like this new feature is the feature bugged.
The voices on campaings are not working 😢
that's not a bug, is a feature, also it happened in the Original AOE2
Really top notch developers 😂😂
It's called alchemy
smh my head
Remember when games would be finished after a few patches and not get patched to oblivion? I member. But hey, if there isn't a problem to fix might as well make them for job security, amiright
now its time to make new build orders with it considering the out of sync bug fixed in 20 years 🤣🤣
Viper very amused pause

😅 great video... let the drama ensue
Why doesn't Gold/Stone turn into Wood?
Wowwww! How did you even figure this out!?
Hmm should obviously be fixed but i really doubt its going to affect anyones games
10 pop fast castle incoming
let me guess this bug might also changes from wood to gold/stone 😅
I bet that a vegetarian dev coded the second bug
New meta dropped
So, we can convert wood to food instantly just like that?
Cool!!!
grassFail to the devs
I opened aoe2 after many years, hoping to replay some campaigns in this highly polished new version of the game. Was greeted with some idiotic text to speech reader set to 100000% volume and hidden settkng to turn it off and then ofc hotkeys. Need some hotkeys.. I set.... And mfer game reset them all to default right after starting the first game. MFING WASTEDAN HOUR. Apparently, it is MANDATORY to make some hotkeycustom profile to have a chance of saving them. I was left with barely any will to play it after such a greeting...
15 pop fast imp incoming
Such a cool bug though. So many exploits... 😂
Crazy!!!!!
ASAP as possible is redundant and grammatically incorrect Mr. Viper. Please fix.
I wonder if you are Khmer and you click on a farm, can you drop resources from anywhere in that case?
How about Burgundians vineyards?
I tried with Khmer, it didn't work
Que bien funciona el Aoe2 DE
thx de
Hahaha love it.
Good video
Who asked this mechanic to be added?
To be fair I can't imagine this bug being abused so badly it breaks the game in a meaningful way. Seems like too much effort to gain a meaningful advantage in a real game. Probably viable sometimes, but I am sure it's more of an edge case
it can be used to go up in dark age by getting food straight from straggler trees. very broken.
This already existed! You can farm food from berries then click a fish and drop that food off at a dock on nomad
yes but both are still food. this is converting 1:1 ratio of different resources.
It's a feature!
It's just a higher level of gameplay bro, it's not a bug it's a new feature.
