How do we feel about the kitten names? Any other suggestions?
Girl looks like Marilyn Monroe ❤ I adore her
Toothless for the little demonic girl. Since she nibbles everything, it might be a funny ironic name
I was thinking Marilyn like they mentioned above for the girl because of that Freckle. You can shorten that to Lyn. For the escape artist how about Harry or Houdini? Mom can be Kitty. That's a name. Especially if she already responds to that. For #1 was it Mr. Bingley you said? I'm not familiar with that character so not sure about the spelling. How about just Bingley or Bing. Also, my youngest cat had blue eyes until about 3 months and then they turned yellow so they can take a while to change. Sadly. Just watched the kitten content because I want to read that Emily Henry book and don't want any spoilers.
The kittens are so adorable and fun to watch! I think Charlie is a cute name for number 1. Not sure about number 2 and 3. Mama kitty needs a name other than “Kitty” lol. She’ll adjust. Just finished Kindred on your rec., kind of a thought provoking read. Also bought Book Lovers even though I don’t read romance. Glad you’re doing well!
I like Penelope (or Penny for short) for mama.

My cat is called panda, but we just call him Mister Baby. My other cat is Vino "Vinny" Vinzento.
Just call them whatever you want and what feels right 😁

These kittens are a scream to watch. I've forgotten how much energy they have. It's like someone wound them and they're gone. I love them, they're so sweet.
Every time I think "wow they're getting crazier"... they age another week and realize I had no idea how more intense it would become XD

Edit : forget my suggestions I love both @Julia O's idea for "Rebel" or @Aline Fazzard's idea for "Monroe" so giving my votes to them !

The whole “staring at someone while they’re driving” in ANYTHING I watch makes me so anxious. I’m always like YOU ARE GOING TO CRASH. 😂

I’m both surprised and not surprised about how you felt about this book! Similar to you, I loved Beach Read and Book Lovers, and was meh about People we Meet on Vacation.
I loved this book though. I think what saved it for me was the reveal that he was struggling with depression, which I had kind of picked up on throughout the book with his self deprecating comments. And that they loved each other but were really struggling to find their way in their adult lives and the relationship suffered due to that.
Burst out laughing at #2 taking that potshot at you, the absolute cheek of her 💀 One of ours was exactly like that when she was a baby, lol.
I haven't read any Emily Henry but it was a lot of fun to watch the vlogs!
I agree about the driver looking at the passenger. That makes me so anxious even though it’s a movie!

I was so shocked by the growling but I should have known because for a while the second mama was laying down he was nursing... all the time XD
I read Happy Place last week so this was fun 😂I actually ended up loving it, but I also prefer it when the issues in a romance book are realistic, and this felt very realistic to me. Yes, they were very dumb 😂
One of my cats is named Pusifer because she was a devil as a kitten. Now she is the sweetest thing ever 😅

Glad your recovery is going well, I’m getting the same surgery eventually so it’s good to see you thriving and kitten wrangling so soon afterwards lol. I would highly recommend Ashley Herring Blake’s books - I usually don’t read romance for all the same reasons as you (and Emily Henry is hit or miss for me) but have loved both books in her Bright Falls series! Bonus they’re all WLW romances and have a strong focus on friendships 🥰

Lol, I had a kitten who did the same thing with being protective of his food. He LOVED his treats, and wasn’t about to share them with anyone! They’re so adorable, kitten #2 cracks me up 😹. I’m so happy the mama cat found you. ❤ Also, I enjoyed the reading vlog, but I don’t think I’ll be reading that one!!
A very long time ago when I was 15 years old, I got my own cat. She was a kitten, she was all black and I named her Kitty Marie. Kitty is a good name and for me Marie was a family name. So it worked really well. Love those kittens, they are so adorable!!
They make bowls with suction on the bottom (my cats are adults and still enjoy knocking their bowls on the bottom lol) and there’s also bowls that come with non slip liners for same purpose which is what I have (necoichi)
I think Chunky Baby is an appropriate name for #3, and he's who I'm rooting for you to keep

I like the name Charlie for the kitten and the one that escapes you should call him Houdini ... You cracked me up when u called the character a doo doo head... Take care feel better it took me about a month to start to feel back to normal.

Thanks for your honest opinions on books. “Coyote Eyes!” I read “Good Morning, Midnight”, I enjoyed it, but the ending left me wondering. I guess that’s what makes a book interesting.?
It can be done well but not often lol I'll have to see how I feel once I get to it!
I hope you can find a close friend or family member who can take the kittens. So you can still somewhat keep in touch and you know they are well taken care of. Such cute babies ❤
When I read the line about the deodorant smelling like clove I stopped too. It was so oddly specific that I assumed there is a brand of deodorant (probably natural) that smells like that. Happy Place was a 5 star for me. My favorite EH books in order are : Beach Read, Happy Place, People We Meet on Vacation and Book Lovers. I gave all of them at least a 4 star. She's still a good bet for me.
Some god/ goddess themed names for you:
The baby girl should be Athena because she's also a goddess of war 🔱
Mama is Helen because all the neighborhood cats want her ;)
Chunky baby: Dionysus (Dio) because he's a little chunkster
Escape artist: Loki (norse god of mischief)

The kittens are so cute ! And yes, cat have a lot of energy when they are young. I have 5 cats and I got 4 of them when they were young (all rescued). I can say that they were pretty crazy until they reach 1 year old where they calm down a bit. I had to remove my curtains at some point because two of them where climbing them constantly.
For the names, all mine have gods or goddesses names. So I really like the idea to call the little girl Freya like someone has suggested.
And I think Houdini for our little escape artist is on point.

I have just caught up on all of your vlogs and this series with the kittens has me so hooked! Can't wait to see what they do next - so cute, I can't deal. Also hope you heal quick from surgery! I had the same kind to remove an ovarian cyst- glad it went well. 😊
When I got my two kittens, it was quite overwhelming at the start, they had so much energy, just running and jumping everywhere, I wasn't sleeping well because of the absolute chaos! It was also expensive at the start because of vaccinations and sterilising. However, after a few months they calmed down, now there are no expenses (a part from food and litter), and they still play together but also cuddle and sleep and I just love them so much and even want to get another kitty! Honestly the start is gonna be hard but it gets easier and then it is sooooo worth it !
My parents cat was a terror as a kitten, would litteraly climb up your legs, even if you were sitting down (RIP my tights), and would be so tiring, and same now she is adorable! Hang in there !
I can't wait for them to calm down a bit but mama is such a sweet calm cat that I'm hopeful lol

Number 2 looks just like my cat Henbane. I love the spicy ones❤ I definitely recommend keeping at least 2 of the kittens so they have a playmate to share their energy with. Mama will probably not be interested in playing with them enough and then you get to pick up the slack.😂

@BookswithEmilyFox I guess that's true. :( I just know I ended up adopting a second kitten when I saved my one because she was too playful for me to keep entertained and I had an adult cat who definitely wasn't interested in helping out. It's too bad you can't keep them all, but I understand that's a big commitment.

Loving the kitten (and mama cat) content! I don't envy you trying to decide which kitten to keep along with mama. One idea for a bookish name for one of the kittens is Paige, which sounds like page. And Charlie is a great name. I've always heard that cats respond well to 2-syllable names that end in an eeeee sound. Hope your recovery is going well! Take it easy and pamper yourself as you recuperate.

I also had a laparoscopy recently for my endometriosis and the recovery is the hardest part. I hope you are on the mend and that the kittens are doing well. The eyes description is weird I agree and a bit of a turn off. I must admit that I'm a bit trepidacious to read Happy Place now.

Nope, never heard from her again. She also never posted on any of the lost pet pages on facebook. Mama isn't microchipped so she clearly doesn't care.

Helllloooo:) I know you are not looking for advice, so sorry , but I just must share. No doubt it will be so hard for you to rehome two of the kittens, but if you can manage to find them a home where they can be together this is a great thing. I have two cats and they are brothers from the same litter and it's just so joyful for us to have them, but also they just have such an amazing bond and they are great at keeping each other's company when we are at work or on holiday. People often think that cats are not sociable but this is very untrue. Anyhow, whatever happens, I'm sure you will ensure the cats welfare as best as anyone can. Greetings from another cat mum;).😊

I've started using nuvaring for endo symptoms a month ago and my first 'period' was catastrophic enough that I've read The Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer to help me maybe. It worsened my misery 😂 your choice of Emily Henry and Ice Planet Barbarians to get through tough times seems more reasonable than mine 😂😂
