We love finding old bottles, pots and ornaments at old rubbish dumps. This dump didn;t fail us and we got some lovely finds! Mudlarking is fun in the river, but also fun away from the water when there are finds waiting to be discovered.

Many wonderful pieces of different sherd patterns. I can’t choose what I liked the most. I was a bit concerned when Caroline was slipping down the hill. Also when she was out of breath going up the hill. When Phil was on the rocks in the river I thought he was going to fall off. I’m so happy you guys didn’t fall. I know how much you want to please everyone, but your life is more important than larking. I certainly don’t want you guys to break anything. You both need to try flat ground for finding things. I appreciate all your doing to keep us entertained, but I prefer having you both around for many years to come. Thanks for being such wonderful people you are. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Caroline, I agree about forget-me-nots. A friend gave me a small packet of forget-me-not seeds and I sprinkled them in the garden, not expecting much but now they have taken over a six-foot stretch!
The river view and sounds are so beautiful. Just stunning. Fabulous little finds, I love that green plinth, bottle stoppers, and so many beautiful pottery and glass shards for crafting, I love it! Can't wait for you to return there. Thank you my lovelies xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥

Caroline you should have saved the iron rod to make a tipsy pot . Here in Illinois USA . WE make these flower decor out of clay pots and a metal rod . You use about 5 or so different size pots and layer them a top each other with the rod in each one . First big pot you need a small comtaner to place the rod it with concrete to support the rod . The place some durt about 1 in on bottem of lagrest pot then place the contaner with the rod in the middle of it fill with dirt . The slide second pot down rod an set it on side ways on one side of the borrom pot .Then fill with durt . Repeat other pots same but tilt them opposite of the othere pot . After all pots are done you put your plants in . We call it a tipsy pot .
I just love the walks along the river. now the weather is pretty..I hope to see more. I love hearing the water flow over the rocks and I thought I saw in the distance a stone bridge.❤

We had a nice find Saturday on the sirhowy, a token in the river. When we looked it up it was a shell ' Man in flight' promotional token from 1969. That where given at shell garages when you filled up and it encouraged motorists to come back to a shell garage to try and collect the whole collection. Those are the finds I love when I get to learn a bit of history from it that I had no idea about.

Such an entertaining video guys. Thank you! I wasn't going to come clean but I have to (too honest). I'd speeded up a previous video to 1.5 and for the first couple of minutes I didn't remember to set playback back to normal. And I wondered why you were rushing us through, and why Phil's trip across the river looked extra perilous, done at speed 😄 Some fun finds.

I often think of the lady of the house when her nice things were broken. I remember how it was with my Mother and my grandmothers. Last year I broke one of my fine China Blue Willow plates. I wished it had been my less expensive Blue Willow stoneware.
Apparently behind the abandon denbigh ( not sure if I spelt correctly) mental health hospital in Wales has a old bottle dump

Yes!
Do you have any recommendations for bottle/dump digging and/or mudlarking in South Wales? I've only ever done some beachcombing/fossil hunting along Penarth/Lavernock, but I absolutely love finding bits of ceramic and glass, so I'd love to give a proper mudlark or dig a go. I just don't know where to start.
