Great job, Mr. Francis! You are setting your daughter up for success. Proud to have you both as fellow Americans. Dad taught us all how to hunt and fish and we are, to this day, thankful. It bonded us to our parents. It made us closer, as a family. Not be cause it was hunting and fishing (although nothing is a cool or fun at a young age), but because it was a family activity. Family activities are a great thing. Even once a week. Even a silly board game can make the difference in a kids life. Katie, keep up the excellent work, be safe and keep a clear sight picture.

Thank you to Marie Claire for courageously showing positive aspects of legal gun ownership and responsible enjoyable shooting sports. Katie is a well informed, intelligent, compassionate, young woman who effectively expresses her beliefs about societal issues, self defense, gun control, and responsible gun ownership.
Katie is an impressive young woman in many ways, not just for excelling in local, national, and international shooting activities, she is also a good student, responsible and disciplined, a good friend, a good daughter, a good citizen and a good ambassador for the USA.
In one of her statements she said “a gun is a good equalizer between a woman and a man.” I believe she meant because of size and strength issues. However, I suggest that a more clear statement is that a gun is a good equalizer between a good person and a bad person.
And finally, congratulations to Katie’s parents for raising a wonderful daughter.

Katie you are what so many young women would want to be like if only they were allowed to see shooting and shooting sports done in a positive and safe way, I thank you for standing up and being a great example for young women every where! I have been competing with shotgun (trap and skeet) since I was 16 and traveled the United states every winter competing and it was a time of my life that will never be forgotten, nothing I liked more than seeing a gun rack full of Perazzis and then go out and beat every one of them with my 870 Comp. My daughter has been shooting since she was 10 and we try to go out every other week end and spend time at our range shooting Pistols up to .45 and rifles up to 7.62x51, I am letting her get used to recoil SLOWLY. She shot her first deer a month ago and made a perfect shot and did everything exactly as I taught her, I could not have done better myself, it was a great day to be a DAD! This Christmas her main present will be a setup Ruger Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Leupold LRP on it and give her a taste for some longer range fun and see how she likes playing that game. And Trust she will see this video when she gets home! Thanks you again Katie from a Dads view I want my daughter get the chance to see the world from YOUR eyes, and realize what guns and shooting really are and can be!
Great vid and please make more!

Children should be taught guns and gun safety even if they will never normally use one or own one. My dad got me a bb gun at age 4 and taught me right from wrong. I never had to have it taken away from me. Had a .410 shotgun at 9 and a 22 at 10 . Ive never hurt a sole not even myself thanks to gun education and respect of firearms and people. People who dont teach their children anything and simply blame others for all their bad will suffer a terrible crisis sometime in their lives .

The only thing that makes me dislike these shooting sports is the bizarre equipment, from mag holders to mag wells.

Crebs Park Whats the point of your comment? To use the term snowflake? Did someone call you snowflake and you were looking for a reason to use it?
My comment had purpose.... yours is not only illogical, but also self projecting.. please, break this down for me. Whats your* thought process?

You forgot the part where she is an amazing shot. I've been shooting all my life and she would destroy everyone I shoot with.

It is ridiculous that on a video showing a young woman who is disciplined, has goals, has strong priorities in her life and has a good career in front of her that people would use that to push a political agenda.

Thank you for representing responsible gun ownership. You are an inspiration for my 16 years old daughter. What a great team of father and daughter.
