@Albin it's not. Battery is significantly smaller, no high refresh rate, low resolution LCD camera, significantly lower spec camera + camera count... The list goes on
Love how Zac had to keep emphasising that durability is only one thing to consider so that oneplus don’t go cutting any ties due to lack of sales because of this video😂
Even a $200 iPhone Se has metal build. This doesn’t make sense but these are the types of arguments that are made when comparing Nord to other top end phones
Raghavendra Ravi I agree, yeah. Although I’d like to say one thing, that Qualcomm is also responsible for the price bump of the flagship killer in recent years. They’ve bumped up the cost of the SD865 SOC quite a bit (and are also rumored to double the cost again for the SD875). I’m not saying that the manufacturers are not at fault, though.
honestly after owning the 7 pro i'll probably never own another one plus device. my screen has horrible burn-in and it hasn't even been a year. same thing happened to my s8+, but it was well over 2 years before the burn-in started and wasn't nearly as bad. I can see my entire keyboard, the fingerprint scanner, and the whole notification tray along the top of the phone. Samsung replaced my screen but I had to pay $150 because it was out of warranty. Oneplus wants me to send my device in for inspection, when I know almost for a fact, that they are going to charge me to have it fixed
Been a while since I've seen you crack a phone during the bend test. It's something to consider. This might have some great features, but ultimately it's durability that the budget users also want. They don't want to replace a phone every year.
@`` Zack was saying that the phone is mostly fine because the screen died and the frame broken the phone can just be fixed by changing the frame and screen.

Personal opinion, but I LOVE the smaller size, If it had all the Nord specs in that size I'd buy it in an instant... but it doesn't... So it's just a meh phone all around :/
That bend test couldn't happen with the iPhone SE first of all. Why? Because some people considered it's better to cut from a frame which, unlike before, doesn't provide as much resistance due to improved strength of the glass panels, than to cut from display, camera. P.S. see the comments regarding OnePlus 7T and we will talk about bias then
Heyy Guys JerryRigEverything is now OneplusRigEverything is not acceptable. I don't think he was biased. As He would have shown us very easily that Oneplus Nord passed the bent test by applying less force to Nord. And none of us would have known this. But he showed reality that Nord Fails in Bent test. I agree his words were not that sharp against Nord. But Saying OneplusRigEverything is not justified.
Ummm he "literally" showed you the phone may crack if bent with too much force, and cracked it infront of you!!! 🤦🏻♂️ Smh! If he was biased, he could have easily applied less force and not make it crack at all!
I made that comment as he spoke very soft on the Nord's Durability. I don't expect it to be as durable as some flagship phones as Plastic frame phones are usually weak compared to the aluminium or steel ones and compromises have to be made to get a budget phone with such great specifications. Expected that he would say it'll go to the wall of shame. But it didn't happen.
Nah, that pressure he was applying looks very similar to other tests. I feel like he was only soft on this phone because 1: he likes it and 2: the outside glass didn’t crack, but i believe the interior parts are more important so who knows.
He bent it a couple extra times after the interior layer broke. Seemed like he was applying a similar level of force as he usually does based on his hands shaking. Once the plastic frame and display broke, not much point in continuing to just keep bending it back and forth. Definitely weird that he defended them a bit after it broke, he likely wants them to continue sending him free phones to test and tear down. At the end of the day, feel like him showing it breaking is far more important than anything he says afterwards.
@@cityheron7106 the bias in this review. Every other video he mentions how important durability is but in this one, when phone failed, he kept saying that durability is only one aspect and it's a good phone and while showing a useless bricked device he said "phone is mostly fine" even though it was n't working at all. Not to mention plastic case in $460 phone is absolutely ridiculous. I had $150 aluminium phone few years ago and now am using $250 glass phone. Looks like he didn't want to hurt the reputation of his sponsor more than he cared about being a fair reviewer. Very sad.
Progeusz i dont think he sacrificed his reliability as a reviewer, he just didnt bash them as hard as some other companies. the phone in the durability test is a good deal though, and i think thats what he was getting at. Also, when he said “phone is mostly fine” he pretty obviously meant at a glance from the outside, not the internals or dead screen. in the end this was a fair review and if you watch the video he criticizes the phones structure and even says in the title “sacrifices were made”
Hi Jerry Rig maybe next time, when you do a bending test, i would suggest you use a UTM(Universal Testing Machine) or anything that would measure the smartphones flexural capacity. In that way we may be able to measure the phones bending capacity. Cause just by Hand bending, you may not know how much force you applied on that certain smart phone. And also place a bending stress chart as to when you can say that a smartphone is structurally Robust. Just like what you did in scratch test, you use Mohs Scale
Hey man! Firstly respect for all the work you do. Second and straight to the point This time most of us felt that you got a little biased towards OnePlus, saying durability is not everything. I get it but what most of us ask of you is for a rigid and an absolute no biased opinion, we felt that you somewhere left that part a little bit. Please look upon the matter as we look up to you and your durability test as a complete and honest opinion of a third party who speak what it is. And again major congratulations and respect for your work, great job!
He did everything he would usually do in a durability test; even cracked the hell out of the phone. This should allow you to draw your own conclusions. Saying "durability isn't everything" is a fact and was not meant to nor should it sway your opinion towards the product.
If he really wanted to be biased, all he had to do was ease off his thumbs when he heard the cracking. It's not like we would know how much pressure he applied through a screen

Absolutely, he was very lenient compared to other phones that fail the bend test! Laughable!
Heyy Guys
JerryRigEverything is now OneplusRigEverything is not acceptable.
I don't think he was biased.
As
He would have shown us very easily that Oneplus Nord passed the bent test by applying less force to Nord.
Smh!
Jerry sold out long back. That's what happens when they team up with other businesses.
Jerry should have crushed it in half but he stops after minor interior crack .
.
.
.
*hmmm suspicious*
Nah, that pressure he was applying looks very similar to other tests. I feel like he was only soft on this phone because 1: he likes it and 2: the outside glass didn’t crack, but i believe the interior parts are more important so who knows.
Pixel got screwed, this phone should have been too
He bent it a couple extra times after the interior layer broke.
Correction, after it died completely and failed miserably.
@@dheeraj3945 Correction, the phone didn't die. It was still working. Only the display was shattered.

Also, when he said “phone is mostly fine” he pretty obviously meant at a glance from the outside, not the internals or dead screen. in the end this was a fair review and if you watch the video he criticizes the phones structure and even says in the title “sacrifices were made”
@@cityheron7106 I feel like you haven't seen a single video from him except this one
Just like what you did in scratch test, you use Mohs Scale
bro civil,mechanical se h kya....:)
Hey man!
Firstly respect for all the work you do.
Second and straight to the point
This time most of us felt that you got a little biased towards OnePlus, saying durability is not everything.
Shut up a hole . He just covered every single thing. Not biased ; just everything someone should hear about in-depth.
He did everything he would usually do in a durability test; even cracked the hell out of the phone. This should allow you to draw your own conclusions. Saying "durability isn't everything" is a fact and was not meant to nor should it sway your opinion towards the product.
He said durability isn't everything because this is a 400 euro phone with 5G and 90hz screen and a large battery
I remember him trash talking about the Robin
If he really wanted to be biased, all he had to do was ease off his thumbs when he heard the cracking. It's not like we would know how much pressure he applied through a screen
This phone does not even have flagship specs. It has a plastic frame and no headphone jack. And it's more expensive than old OnePlus flagships.

P.S. I've pre booked the nord.
Cheers!
@@spuefire9862 dude are you trying to make yourself feel better? the phone literally cracked by the first bend. this phone totally sucks.
and what do you do to your phone? my friend had a xiaomi for years and works perfectly fine.
you are so sad. XD
@@arisu2007 are u dumb or what why would I be sad. That is a completely shit situation in which he is trying to bend the phone. You don't go like bending your phone every now and then and then flex about it being Durable. DAMN. Do u even listen to what u are saying. At max the phone is gonna fall and not bend bro. Tf. Let's at least be practical here. And my friends change their xiaomi or xiaomi (realme, wait are they different?) every 6-8 months so no point of them NOT BENDING. My experience with op has been great and I look forward for the same with nord.
Amir Alavi wtf where's oppo
"I try not to get spooked when my phone cracks...but I am only human"🤣🤣🤣 ahaha
The way he wrote "sacrifice were made" reminds me of Dark.
Arey talking about the tv series?
@@dklgdveje what else? ;)
Haha true
@@dklgdveje Yes, In which the end was the beginning and the beginning was their end.
Straight up best series i ever watched, i would recommend anyone to watched it just don't watch it with english dub.

Glass scratches at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7

The OnePlus HYPE. A mid-range phone made of plastic, with a generic design. I must be the only one who fails to see what all these UA-camrs are salivating over.
They're paid for doing so
Performance for value.
Great 👍 Different than any other. Keep it up. All the best Jerry👍
"Extra protection" "going deeper" oh god why do i hear these words next to each other so funny...

He does it on purpose very obviously...
"Sacrifices where made"
Doesnt that happen in every video? 🤔😂
Well, in this video. The screen died with cracks
He’s probably sponsored by one plus cause he dint mention anything about the shelf of shame like he did with the other phones
@@duane10antao That's just nitpicking. He didn't exactly go easy on the phone even if he was sponsered.
John C J nor did he when he tested the mi note watch that video and compare

"Smartphone durability isn't everything". Disappointed to hear that.
He went really polite on 1+.When it comes to others,he roasts them
Though It is in budget segment, We can't expect more from one plus.
@Albin *cough* iPhone 6 *cough* iPad pro (although that isn't a phone so idk if that counts, but it was still kinda sad how easily that bent)
Yeah, if it was like apple, he would've, NO the whole internet would have gone wild in roasting them just like the ipad pro(even though it was a very big device), but in oneplus case nobody gives a shit.

Your plague and group selfie commentary is a perpetual mood, and the frankness is always appreciated. And, as expected, excellent collaborative design on that case.
