Doesn’t have to be big, just decide to do something with intention to help get out of the looping thoughts. More Passive than Active challenges = overwhelmed, the more you are bogged down by external demands rather than choosing your own goals the more it creates overwhelm. I bet she heard something similar in therapy (I did) and was trying to repeat it because she’s basically spot on, if you can’t do something do something else (for the purpose of helping you do the first thing you wanted to do but were struggling to start)
