Great result Saul. It looks like a different car. Awesome little rig now for the backyard track. Get it out on the skatepark and send it to the stars. Just don't break it. Lol. Be well mate and catch you on the next one.
I was blow away it could creep that slow but still be so punchy, crazy little esc upgrade. Definitely heading to a skatepark asap, hopefully go home with a functioning unbroken car but can't make any promises😆 Thanks Jason, take it easy mate😁
Seriously small scale rcs don't get the recognition they deserve. Been looking for a setup like this for the neighborhood fpv going under cars between houses and the granular speed it has makes it perfect setup
Totally agree with you! I absolutely love mini RCs, most are cheap or at least affordable for what you get, most modern ones are rather strong being compact but stocky and you can take them basically anywhere with little hassle. The FPV neighbourhood watch sounds fun😄 but yes this setup would be ideal in my opinion👌
Thank you!🙂 Could almost make like a mini Summit by adding super soft tyres and super thick oil in the diffs so it can crawl, mini crawler and basher all in one rig😃 Great idea!👌
Thanks for the video. I picked up the Coolfree version and was just about to toss it in the trash (bin) until I found your upgrade. I have a mini24 and micro receiver for my HotRC tx coming in a couple of weeks so now it's all torn down on the bench waiting. Thanks again, hope your doing ok. New sub.
Oh fantastic to hear you saw my video before binning it😃 Yes honestly it feels like a totally different car with a esc that can pair correctly with the outrunner motors. Good luck with your build and another heads up, a new servo may be something to think about at some point, I found out the stock servos aren't that strong😵 Thanks for watching and subbing and again good luck!
Yes you need a new controller and corresponding receiver. Example (A dumborc controller requires a dumborc receiver) The stock 2in1 board is both the esc AND receiver on one single motherboard and can not be separated, the stock controller only works with the stock receiver within the 2in1 board.
Have one of these cars on the way and curious how difficult the ESC/receiver swap out is going to be. Is it mostly plug and play changes or will I need to buy some decent soldering tools/learn to solder before attempting?
Receiver is what the servo and esc plugs into so that part is plug n play but in stock form the motor is soldered directly to the 2in1 board so you will have to at least solder the motor wires to the hobby grade esc or soldering connectors of some sort onto both esc and motor(without connectors everything fits easier) And I can't remember at the moment but the stock servo plug may be the wrong type which may require changing aswell, more soldering or an adapter🤦 Sorry mate
Thanks for asking, that is very nice of you🙏 But seriously am I that obvious😅 Not stuff I should talk about on here but yeah bit of a rough patch at the moments. Again I appreciate you asking though, thanks😊
That thing is great 👍 👍👍👍👍
It is a very fun little truck😃
Thanks mate😜
Good video. Nice upgrade for the little truck.
Thanks Tim🙂
Yeah I had a feeling this little esc would be kind of incredible in this car, very happy with the results!
Cool little truck
100%👌
Don't need much room but still very capable for adrenaline packed bashing, well kinda😆
2:55 "as long as you've got a 2mm shaft..."
I do have a 2mm shaft but don't tell anyone please ! 🙊
Oh buddy, your secret safe with me🥺
I should've seen that coming from someone, legend👌🤣

Maybe softer tire no foams no holes. Very good job I like it a lot😊😊😊
Thank you!🙂

Can't go too far wrong with the Hobbywing gear!
Definitely my go too escs for most cars these days👌
Good luck man🫵🏿👍🏿✌🏿🍀
To use the new speed controller do I need a new remote controller to use it?

Would this work in the mjx version of the car ?
100%
I believe they are both identical in the was of parts and main chassis so should work perfectly.
Are you doing ok man???

@ well take it easy one day at a time man! We are here thinking about you and hoping everything works out!!
Looks like a decent little car, shame the stock esc is so 💩🤦♂️
Yep😆
Massive difference with the mini24 and dumborc system though, the throttle range is insane🤯
