I remember when this first came out. Mr Bucky and Ms Phyllis were so excited about the trailer and the new house build. Alas never came to be. Both will be missed by many. Can't believe I watched her vids for 6 +years, no wonder they seemed like family. Many thanks for Steven in informing her viewers about this, at this most difficult family time.
Yes, she was so excited. They wanted to sell their house in town and have a whole new start up on the mountain. But then the house on Bridge Street never sold, things got delayed, and I guess it just never happened. I can't recall Phyllis ever posting about it, once their plans fell through. Could be one more piece of property for Steven to take care of, now that his mom and Bucky are gone. It's sad, but I do love that P&B had wonderful plans for their life, right up into their old age.
Karen RN , I have watched Miss Phyllis and Mr. Bucky too since before this new property video too. They were very excited about the trailer and tiny home they were going to have built, and this new place and fixing up their home to be sold. I do remember being very apprehensive for them about their plans. Phyllis fixed up that rev like a pro and reupholstered furniture for her home and that rv. Still I was very worried for them just I would be for my own family going and planning some new big venture. I don’t think it was meant to be for them to go live on that mountain. I didn’t mean to be awful (that’s not the right word, I need here) about it, but I was relieved they didn’t go to that property. We will all miss these two awesome people.

Sarah Hoilman It’s so heart wrenching. My Mom made me aware of Phyllis & Mr Bucky, and shortly thereafter my Mom was diagnosed and passed away. Then Mr Bucky and Phyllis passed away. My heart just aches. My Mom’s heart would have not been able to stand knowing that Phyllis & Mr Bucky passed away, so I’m at least thankful that Mom never had to endure that heartbreak. 💔 💔
Always wonderful memories of Miss Phillis and Mr. Bucky. I have lost two of my best friends. Love you both. May God continue to bless y'all and bring peace to your friends and family. Will miss you terribly. ❤

Kathleen, they were so sweet together. I know Ms Phyllis is so lonesome without her best friend. Its SO hard to lose a loved one. So very hard. My prayers are with her.

I just started watching her channel about the end of 2018 but watched a lot of her older videos as she and Mr. Bucky were so sweet and interesting. I'm so thankful after their deaths that her channel is continuing on UA-cam as she wanted her channel to support a youth group at her church, I believe. RIP dear Mr. Bucky and Ms. Phyllis- they were both such sweet souls...

There’s nothing like the mountains. God really outdid Himself when He created them. I live near the Blue Ridge as well. I’m about 90 miles from the Smokies. That puts me right in the midst of the Appalachians. Gods country...clean air and peacefulness. I guess you’re there for good now. 💜🙏

My property is much more rugged than yours, but there are old logging rods to walk on all over the place. It is near Billy Graham's Bible Compound. We can walk over and be right on his property. It was the anniversary of your passing a few days ago Miss Phyllis. I spoke with your boy Steven and told him how much you've meant to me over the years and it made me miss you. So I decided to come spend some time with you and Mr Bucky. So far we've made pineapple sheetcake together, worked a hot summer day on your garden, had a tour of your lovely home, made several 1950s meals just like your mother used to make and now I thought we might sit awhile in your lovely mountain retreat to just sip an iced tea and feel comforty together.
Watching you from Wales (UK) I love the fact you can buy such big parcels of land in US...I live in a rural area with lovely views but no hope of having land like this. Look forward to following you, and your cooking and of course Mr B!
I love your land. I know the area very well, it's just beautiful. When my husband was laid off from his job of 27 years in 2009. We lost our home and pretty much everything, so we had to start over. We managed to use his severance money to buy a piece of land in NE Georgia, and we put our 34 foot Holiday Rambler RV on it, and lived there 18 months until my husband found another job. We still had our youngest daughter living with us at the time, she was 15. It was a nice piece of land, it had a stream that we pumped water from and chickens, and peacocks. Sadly, everything slowly stopped working in the RV...The air conditioner broke, then the gas furnace, and the water pump, mice got into the walls and ate all the wiring, so we bought another house about 19 miles away, and that's where we are today. We still have the land, but we hardly go see it any more as a new neighbor built a huge mansion of a house on the lot next to ours, and he isn't very nice.

I love your place in NC. I have 25 acres in Fletcher just outside Asheville, NC. And a a little house right on top of a mountain. My home is Jacksonville, Fl, but I would rather be in the Mtns. any day. My wonderful aunt left it to me.
My heart's broken... But she's at peace now. I'm in my 50s and this has inspired me to make some hard decisions. Live the life that I want to, because we're all on borrowed time and tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

Reminds me SO much of riding through the Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont mountains when I was a little kid and we'd go north (of Connecticut!) for our summer vacations. How well I remember my ears popping...and getting carsick. But it fostered a love for pine forests and mountain areas that I have 50+ years later.
That's a nice little tt; Jayco's a good brand. What a beautiful property. Hey the good thing about those pines is the needles tend to stop anything growing and makes a nice forest floor.
I am so sad and heart broken . But they aren't suffering any more and they are together i am sure. If all married couples could be so blessed. They are going too be so missed. :-(

Hi Phyllis I just had to smile when I saw the look on your face at your discovery of HWY 28. I felt pretty much the same way when I moved there in 1991. I love Mountain Rest, and wanted to move there so bad, and am still thankful I was able to do so. I hope to meet you this year.
Just what I would do, but you could find a real estate agent in that community where the land is, and then they can make inquiries for you directly to Steven Ritter, Phyllis' son, and/or to Phyllis and Bucky's estate attorney. Good luck, that would be so wonderful if you ended up doing this.

I am so sad and heart broken . But they aren't suffering any more and they are together i am sure. If all married couples could be so blessed. They are going too be so missed. :-(

I just had to smile when I saw the look on your face at your discovery of HWY 28. I felt pretty much the same way when I moved there in 1991. I love Mountain Rest, and wanted to move there so bad, and am still thankful I was able to do so. I hope to meet you this year.

Just what I would do, but you could find a real estate agent in that community where the land is, and then they can make inquiries for you directly to Steven Ritter, Phyllis' son, and/or to Phyllis and Bucky's estate attorney. Good luck, that would be so wonderful if you ended up doing this.

Mrs. Phyllis had briefly said his name and showed his face in one of the previous videos when they has initially looked at the property. I miss Mrs. Phyllis and Mr. Bucky. They were truly angels among us. We were blessed to have them share a portion of themselves with us. 😇😇🤗💞🤗

Ms Phyllis was so savvy, I wonder if she'd tell you to just go ahead, not worry about the possibility of being disrespectful-- time's a-wastin'. Especially if you're seriously interested, the real estate agent would probably welcome your inquiries. And yes, we were blessed by the Stokes and still are, through Phyllis's son Steven. I hope there's a good future for this channel; I'd hate to see it go away.
