The trail Kumma-gutsa is a reference to the Aussie slang phrase "come a gutser" which means to fall on your front like a belly flop, IE falling on your gut. We can basically use it to mean any sort of fall out crash
Hi guys, thanks for the report! There was a real enduro racing this time. Can't wait for the next round, the gap is so long! I hope this season we'll hear news about Sławek Łukasik a lot so next time there's a clogged up sink in the GMBN headquarters ask the plumber how to pronounce Slawek's name ;) It's Łukasik: begins with "woo", then "ka" like in "carbon", then "si" which you pronounce well but it ends with a "k" like in "key".
Start a segment for local racing, grassroots. Like the dirt shed, ‘local race of the week’ or something, open the uploader and grab everyone’s race video
With the highlight show I think this feels a little redundant. I would really like to see some more banter like a dirt shed show chat style recap instead of this structured presentation. All in, I'm enjoying the coverage.
Hey Mick! Stay tuned over the next few weeks, we'll be bringing yourace explainers and format updates shortly before the first rounds of each type of racing (XC is coming right up, DH early June)
@@gmbnracing Thanks for response. I like watching all forms of cycling, but get confused as to what the differences are, enduro, xc, DH , and then factor in the different competitions, and factor in the new formats .. its tough to keep track of whats what. Thanks for all ye do. Looking forward to your content.
all exciting stuff ahy guys & gals, nice 1 for putting this channel together, being an ex roady were coverage is in abundance it's great to finally have coverage of mtb racing👍
Deeerrrrby has it all for every level of rider from complete novice to hardcore. Derby is unique in the world as a all year round dedicated mtb village. When the riding stops the bullshiting continues 24/7 🤪. You might LIVE somewhere in the world but if you come to Derby and ride a Emtb hard and fast flowing up and down you will be ALIVE. 5 dedicated people grooming and maintaining the trails, heaps of accommodation, cafes, bike hire and shuttle services and even a floating sauna and massage. At least 5 other great mtb destinations in Tasmania totalling hundreds of km of properly built government funded dedicated mtb tracks. Tasmania is the place where too much mountain biking is never enough and Derby has the best 24/7 atmosphere and attitude to year round family mtb Fun Fun Fun. The variety of tracks is ideal for family fun and new ones being built regularly by the World Trail geniuses. E=Mtb² but what would I know 🤔
I enjoyed the racing and your show. Just one thing to correct... you are best pronouncing it Swavomir (or Swavek) Wookasik, boys. I can see there is more opportunities to mention his name :) peace
It's not Darrrby boys it's Derrrrrr bee mate get the tassie accent going derrrrrrrrrrrr beeeee. You've probably got 3 years to practice for the next highlights show let's get it right cheers. D Errrrrr Beeee
Come on guys! Is it so hard to copy paste rider name? so embarrassing. P2 is Slawomir Lukasik. should be pernounced: "slavomeer lookaceek". I hope you do better next time😉
The Used Car Salesman of youtube bike channels are taking over sporting coverage. This is sure to be a balanced critical look at all things enduro and UCI. lol. Love the positive vibe. Hate the "we don't do reviews" while you present ad copy as a review and your personal opinion. Integrity is a big part of sport, it's not present, and has never been, on this channel or network and it sucks because I love all your personalities. Do you not feel wrong promoting products that a year later are out of business? there's 0 ethics. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism as it is intended.
What about a constructive criticism, with at plan for how To make money for high quality free content, while paying a whole production crew and stellar presenters 🤷♂️
@@wonderwatch2239 There's plenty of content creators out there making money without shilling this hard. This attitude doesn't seem popular amongst bike youtubers and it's detrimental to the expansion of the content. You can provide ad spots while also giving your honest opinion. A Pro's and Con's? it doesn't have to be a lambasting of the product, but maybe provide some use cases where the featured product is not applicable. Trust Performance Forks were a perfect example. These guys have all been around MTB their entire lives, they knew what Trust was. They knew how difficult maintaining market relevance is with a product like that, these guys are dialed into all that shit. Yet they still ran the spot that was largely favorable to Trust. 1 year later that $2000 fork company is out of business. Sure covid had an impact on that, but it just made the collapse faster. Everyone can be happy here, everyone can make money. The advertisers would see a benefit of GMBN networks being trustworthy sources of information. The consumers would benefit from being better educated about the products. The content creators could sleep better at night knowing they aren't taking a 15 year olds money to buy a fork that 1 year after GMBN Advertised it is out of business, if that's a problem to them in the first place...
Having two rounds in Tasmania is epic!😍

I was about to write the same about the Sławek's last name pronunciation. You did well except the "si". It should be "WOOKASHEEK". Sounds more Polish.

Was thinking the same. It's just the 3rd version of the race recap. No insights, discussions about riders form, bike race tech etc.
Like dirt shed? Seems kinda... redundant.
Love the race channel!!!
Pronounced der-by in Tasmania not dar-by. You say 🥔 😂
Spot on, not like the comment above saying it's Durby!
Our women are Killing the enduro scene🤫🇬🇧 let's go ladies 🤙
Enjoying hte new channel. Could you do a video explaining all the formats and types of MTB UCI racing.

How about mathew fairbrother in the u21 comp. Riding from Hobart airport to maydena for round 1. Then rode from there to derby for round 2.
WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF for real? BEAST

Loved the info, something with the sound is very echoy and distorted
Loving the new channel ❤

Great video 😃 I want to sign up for GCN+ but I couldn't 🤷♀️
ŁUKASIK! :)
#askgmbntech I notice that the endure racers don't seem to wear arm protection and some don't even wear knee protection. What's with that?
Pretty sure rules state that they need to wear a full face helmet, knee and spine protection, rest is optional. But I might be wrong
wtf is Darby😂
Darby or Derby?????
Derby
It's pronounced durby like furby, say it like a local
Please don’t put the annoying “music” in the audio background.
Why does Martyn look so well groomed? Did he have a court date or something?
The new subscription service pays for a make up artist. Firing Doddy saved a few bucks too

pernounced 🤣 my new favourite word
Have some slack for non native speakers, they’re doing their best, and if you know who they talk about, no reason to get but hurt 🤗
@@wonderwatch2239 no malice intended, the word tickled me thats all :) kind of hard to show intention with text.
Can also be pronounced as Lukasick 😂

It's all the same as the race recap from UCI. Nothing the see here... 😴
