- That's right. As you may already know Edwin quit Car Throttle recently, while Will was made redundant from Overdrive. So we decided to make our own channel dedicated to building, buying and driving our favourite enthusiast cars!

Edwin with Jack and Ethan was the best CT combo, the owners have really stripped that channel of anything good at every opportunity. I would love for Jack and Eathan to jump ship and join you guys. Best of luck, looking forward to seeing what's ahead for yopu guys.
Yeah. I wondered why CT had dried up. I was really looking forward to it finding its feet once Alex was gone and we didn't have to put up with his try hard 15 year old recycled Top Gear gags any more. Then it never really happened.

@@JDWDMC I was never really a fan of Alex either, he just loves attention and it's grating. I'm happy he has his own thing going on now, people who like that kind of thing can go there and we can avoid it. I just hope he doesn't get too involved with TDC.
@@gingerelvis He is very much involved with this channel. He's helped Edwin start this and will be in some videos. This video was recorded in Alex's unit and the Porsche that will feature in the next video on here is currently parked inside Alex' unit. So Alex is very much involved.
I hope Will still has decent relations with Scott and Callum. They were so much fun to watch as a trio, I hope this duo can do things just as fun.

From what I've seen my guess is Will and Callum are good but they both don't seem on good terms with Scott. This is just based on social posts where they basically don't mention Scott at all. Haven't seen anyone mention anything official.

the fact that Will pointedly mentions he was just shy of 2 years at overdrive means he didn't get any redundancy pay so he probably wasn't too happy about it

I so hope they do. It's like when Jeremy got sacked from TG, it wouldn't have been the same without the three of them working together. It didn't matter that it then became The Grand Tour, what mattered was that it was still 3 mates pissing around with cars 😊
Hopefully, Jack and Ethan are not just Alex's friends, they're his brothers. So some good AutoAlex and TDC cross-content with Ethan and Jack would be amazing!
@@Bartman954 Seems that Jack has joined AutoAlex. In the latest AutoAlex video we see a familliar BMW e36 in the car vertical commercial bit. Alex describes it as the car owned by their new colleque we'll see very soon.

It makes me happy to see Alex support so many people to start their own UA-cam channel. I can already see him encouraging Taylor to be the next one.
When Alex left CT, CT died. It felt like CT was stumbling around trying to get back on its feet. Then EDWIN came along and he basically saved the channel for me. His humour and personality complimented the others well and he was the absolute perfect candidate to take over for Alex.

For me car throttle was alex Ethan jack ..when alex left it felt empty.. Since the company sold its a down hill slope like hoonigans... Sucks hope they all separate and make there own channels...
I think CT got better when Alex left. Jack and Ethan just felt like sidekicks when they were together. Alex works better with Taylor on his own channel while Jack, Ethan, and Edwin worked well as a group.
Sadly it looks like Jack and Ethan need to find new jobs.
Since overdrive disbanded and edwin left carthrottle I was worried Auto Alex was going to be my last hope but now you two are back, and what a duo!

Gonna be sad not seeing Edwin on Car Throttle anymore but I’ve instantly subscribed because the restoration videos were the best ones to come from that channel. I’d personally love to see a transparent price breakdown after each restoration, then comparing it to buying one of a similar quality, to see if it was a wise decision or an Edwin decision.

I always loved Will and Callum. Never really dug into CT, but I always felt like OD was the spiritual successor to TG. I hope the best for them and will add my viewer count to any video I see.

It was always nice having everyone in one place at CT, the content was fun, very enjoyable to watch; but the idea of having multiple channels now, TDC, AutoAlex etc etc, is such a nice thing, more enjoyable content, more often. That's exactly what we'd love to see! Congrats on the new channel, nearly 90,000 subs in 3 days is pretty ludicrous, hopefully, it grows as big as possible!

76k subs by this time. wow. by YT algo, I stumble upon this video and I thought, yeah, I have never seen videos from that previous channel anymore. so here I am. i love watching restorations, modifications and buying junk cars. i watch a lot of American videos, none from UK or Europe for that matter. since I come from a right hand drive country, your videos would appeal to me more than anything else. good luck boys and I'm looking forward to it..
Watch this, Autoalex, Alutoalex v2 and Collecting Cars (Chris Harris at his finest). There's plenty of other UK stuff; Drivetribe, Driftworks, Number 27 etc.
