    So where are the "Vietnam flags" now huh? Just kidding :D
    I hope you like this video because the lack of military maps made everything difficult. I had to open google maps for the first time and try to imagine the movements of the units as I was writing the script. Also take a look at our new teespring shop for some cool merchandise: teespring.com/stores/world-war-ii-epic-battles

    Kudos to WWII-EB. Terrific video! Would love to see another little-discussed, epic-scale early Barbarossa tank battle, the Battle of Brody (22-30 June '41), get the same stellar treatment. One small nitpick, however... Could perhaps the Wehrmacht units on the map displays be made a lighter -- less dark -- shade of gray? Even when viewed on a large TV, they appear almost black.

    • @ww2-epicbattles
      @ww2-epicbattles  4 роки тому +1

      I compare the colours on multiple screens for every job (not just my battle videos). I believe the grey unit markers are clear enough. Can anyone else here give an opinion? Let me know in the comments if the German unit markers need a lighter colour. I check all comments.

    Well soviets used something what's called "i don't care where are my allies i'll push for myself" and that KV was a perfect example of this. This tank didn't make any serious changes in front but it showed how germans weren't ready for those T34 and KV's
    P.S nice video got i say but i read a book about barbarosa and in that book quite big part was used to battles in first days so historical accuracy in this video was really nice

      We don't know for sure what type it was exactly. What we know is that the KV-1 was more common and the commander of the 6th Pz Div described it as a KV-1 type.

    Thank you for making this video! I needed some more research for a project. I’m trying to make a huge WarThunder movie about the battle of Raseiniai, and I want it to be as historically accurate as possible (if that’s even possible in WT) I had a question about this video: as a fellow historian, I know it’s been highly debated whether it was a lone KV-1 or a KV-2 that was left just outside of Raseiniai. I noticed that you used a KV-1. My question was why did you favor that tank to the KV-2? I’m for using either tank, but I wanted to gather support and opinions on which one I should use.

    • @ww2-epicbattles
      @ww2-epicbattles  3 роки тому +1

      The KV-2 wasn't so common in those days and it had a smaller capacity of ammunition which would make it harder for it to stay in the fight so many hours.

    • @kurtruizjr.2929
      @kurtruizjr.2929 3 роки тому

      @@ww2-epicbattles Thanks for getting back so quickly. Your response time is remarkable. You do make a really good point, that one version carried much more ammunition than the other.
      Although it would look much more aesthetically pleasing if it were a Kv2, I think I’ll use a kv1 instead.

      The animations in the bazzbattles video are false and I said so in the comments. The 8th Pz Div was nowhere near Raseiniai as he shows, and neither was there any coordination between the two Panzer corps during the battle.
