@MasonMcAllister What you see in this video IS static rope from Blue Water. Rock climbers have many kinds of rope; static and otherwise. We're using this at the moment because we have a lot of it. We've got other types, too.

@irfp460 Well, sure, we do mention that to our students. Some prefer one, some prefer two. For Texas Kick I prefer just one leg. I find that a counter balance to standing up actually makes it less stressful on the upper body. But whatever. There is a lot more flexibility in our classes than reflected in this series of videos.

great video. I have watched all of them and learned a lot. I was wondering if you would please post a video on how to assend a rope with a Petzl Grigri and a Petzl ascender??? Most people post videos that don't quite explain or show the detail that you guys make sure to include!!! Thanks.

I think it depends on what you are doing with it. Currently we have a mix of harnesses from one-size-fits-almost-all, to a run of the mill rock harness like the Momentum SA, to the big Petzl tree saddles. The bigger harnesses are more comfortable, which is important if you'll be hanging around. We use less built up harnesses as our participants tend to be college age for the most part, and we arrange our lessons so they can generally rest standing on a limb. New Tribe has a sweet saddle, too

Sure thing - there is already a video online showing this method. Check out "Ascending - Frog Type Systems"

@irfp460 You're welcome! We have found lowerability to be a key element of safety for our students.

Um why are you using rock climbing rope? Its a dynamic rope, you should use static rope, that wont stretch.

You're mixing your measurement systems, please stick to the Metric SI, thank you.
