Regarding the merchant’s songs, it looks like the first could be magic deflection like Thop’s Barrier, the second might be sleep buildup, the third could be madness/rot buildup or an attack up buff, and the fourth is probably poison buildup.
With that last point; the arrows reach talisman is working similarly to the Hawk ring in the Souls series, which would increase the range of physical projectiles, so it may also work on the throwing jars and pots
Isn’t the ringed finger found in a heroes grave? I remember getting wrecked by a chariot immediately after picking it up. Definitely not in Wyndham catacombs so nobody waste your time looking for it there
Even more importantly - the Arrow's Reach Talisman also works with Ambush Shard, which will really let you appreciate just how much farther it extends the range. Because that allows you to circumvent line-of-sight cover as well as Knights with shields, it's insanely effective. Ever since I learned about that a while back, it's been one of my favourite tools along with Rock Sling.
Arrow's Reach Talisman definitely increases damage with Erdtree Greatshield Ash of War. Also, the Frenzied Miranda Sprout reacts very differently to fire than the rest do.... (There are some just south of the Church of Inhibition).

The hidden pause actually makes sense and it's kinda amazing it wasn't figured out before. When we just start the game, the tutorial messages that come up actually pause the game so that you can read them in peace. And they have pretty much the same formatting as the "Menu Explanation" screen. Now what I wonder is - does it work in co-op? Gotta test that.
Zullie the witch did some really interesting videos on elden rings cut ride mechanics. You could apparently ride things like trolls and the dragonflies with all sorts of other options it was nuts
Mimic Tear is still able to heal if you have the Raw Meat Dumpling equipped! If you use it yourself you'll end up being poisoned but Spirit Ashes don't get the buildup so the Mimic is just fine with an infinite amount of heals. However it just uses the Dumplings quite random. Maybe it'll pop three at full health and when it's going low it sometimes appears to forget about them entirely. Other times it just uses them like Crimson Flasks and everything is fine.
Idk if it's wide knowledge, but, if you disrupt the celebrants' dance in Dominula Windmill Village by bumping into them (I did so using barbaric roar.) they will stop dancing, brandish their weapons, and their eyes glow like they're gonna aggro, but they WON'T. Just a little thing. Love your videos, gentlemen!

With the horses you could have trade offs, no extra jump for instead it's faster or gives you an attack boost on horseback, plus definite amount of health for them, armoured ones got a lot unarmed not a lot.
Arrows reach allows increases the aim of glintstone pebble. Using it you can lock onto enemy's further away than if it was not equipped. Nearly sure it's the same for shard and comet too. Definitely works for pebble though. I always have it equipped.
I'm sure people know this but the Great club actually has two different strong attacks one is locked behind after using golden land it's a very strong follow-up especially in one-on-one
Unless I’m misunderstanding, I think the attack you are talking about is the follow up for golden land, which works with any weapon that can use it. This follow up also exist for waves of darkness and earthshaker
Oh btw the other weapons that function like the flicking finger are usually the really big weapons . ( where you can lock on but still control the blade)
You can get the Sword of Milos from killing Dung Eater AND keep your crab supply guy alive in the Lyndell mote. All you need to do, is go to the geol, tell Dung Eater he's free to go and then immediately slice and dice him. It's not a very comfortable fight, as the jail is small and enclosed, but other than that, you're just fine. Dung Eater will disapper from the Roundtable Hold. You won't be able to progress his quest of 5 seedbed courses and mending rune of shiet. If you were looking forward to be defiled by the lake, well, bad news in that department too. But if you don't plan to end the game with the seedbed course ending and you're willing to skip the rendezvous with Dung Eater in the moat, then you can get his sword, his arour and your life supply of seafood from a very much alive Blackguard ;]
i wonder how the pause thing interacts with multiplayer. it will probably not work while other players are in your world or vice versa but would it put a summon sign on hold until you come out of the pause?
Here's one any weapon art that can be set to holy affinity can also be buffed with fire to give it two types of damage I believe this works on ashes like flaming strike set it to holy and the buff will give you fire damage on top of that so it can be buffed quite a lot just like sword of night and flame but a holy version if anyone is interested Im pretty sure there is another ash that allows you to apply a few different damage types and besically allow you to double up on buffs
I have a dream .... That the DLC team also has someone working on the viable original cut content that they have been polishing up and intend to release when the DLC drops that would be awesome and add even more charm to an already amazing game.

I can almost guarantee we will be getting the Merchants instrument as a usable weapon in the upcoming DLC. I bet it’ll have random buffs/debuffs as the set AoW and it’ll be used by playing the instrument
So if you are opening a trap chest you will get teleport to another place, but if you press the dash button right before it comes out you can escape it and the chest will close again
The beefier scarlet rot/ magic/ fire dragon incantations work similar, if you jump and cast them, there's zero lag, only does 1 breath but its very effective in pvp.
Did you know that the man-serpent is a Dark Souls enemy. And in Dark Souls they progressively get older and more ragged as the games progress through time. BUT……in Elden Ring they are young and it actually describes the reason for their creation on a weapon description. Just another piece of evidence that the souls games are connected to the lands between.
Side-note with Rock Sling particularly is that it can technically have near-infinite range... at least with 2 of the 3 rocks. If you cast Rock Sling with a staff in your left hand specifically (does not work in your right), 2 of the 3 rocks will fly as far as you have lock-on range. In a large map with a boss, like Astel or the Regal Ancient Spirits, you can lock onto them and hit them with Rock Sling from anywhere in the map. This is super useful against the first fight with Astel, since you can target his head (which is weaker to physical damage and stagger) and pepper him with rocks from the opposite side of the arena.
The manual attack aiming is disabled for every weapon in the game EXCEPT the Finger. Which makes it so disappointing because manual attack aiming is paramount for using heavy weapons, and losing it feels like being forced to ride a tricycle after racing motorcycles for years.
Maybe instead of giving torrent, Melena should have given some horse taming item, so that would solve ranni problem as well. OR let ranni give horse taming item to ride other horses and melena would give torrent. that way you can have both. Maybe devs found multiple horses redunded or maybe they felt bigger horse double jumping little weird.
Mentioning the wild horses made me think that fromsoftware has kind of under utilized torrent when it comes to mounted combat. Like I hope one day they add a bit more to it. Even if they gave torrent just a couple of unique attacks I would be happy. Like at this point torrent is simply just a way to bypass enemies and I feel most people avoid horseback combat because it is kind of boring.
It's clunky to me of you're fighting a fast enemy on horseback you always are missing because you have to swing to the right or left. It's definitely alot easier to fight on horseback in the small camps around the map though. Since you can do drive by smacks and take no damage. Then heal torrent after a while and it saves your heals.
Did you know that when your on torrent you can use your sword and nothing much happens you can use your bow and nothing much happens but if you use a lightning bolt torrent will bow his head so you don’t hit him with it....🤷🏻♂️🏴
If you use the Starscorge Greatsword ash of war, with the Wing Insignia or the Rotten Wing talisman, it technically counts as a physical attack increasing your physical damage

At a guess, you can’t pause when you have a summon, or when you use the taunt tongue but not 100%

You may have covered this one but fire’s deadly sin carries over the status effects of your right hand weapon like blood flame or black flame blade

You can also poison/rot him through the bars. Dung Eater doesn’t deserve a fair fight.
I didn't find this out myself, but I did learn that the hood of the guilty has a special interaction when you also wear the vulgar militia chest.
