Hi! Is it possible that you will have an android screen in the future which doesn't pop out like this from the dashboard, insted just sits back like the original just bigger and have all the advantages like this one?

@@TheFittingBayI looked in your website and can’t find a screen that integrates into the dash but bigger. I see there is the retrofit which reuses the current screen and then the ones that pop out. Is this just something that is not listed yet?
Just seen your comment. Was about to buy one but then I figured the one that doesn’t pop out looks nicer . There is someone that uploaded a video with the one that sits in , but for sale I found only on Ali express

hi i’m having issues with the OEM camera and this screen, i either can only get half the camera or if i want to use full camera it gives off this rainbow effect. any help?

Great video! In the video you mention about the airbag light, my car has had this install done at some point and the airbag light is showing. Do you know how to remove it? There doesn't appear to be any error codes when scanning the car. Thanks

Hi, after connecting, the android auto doesn't have any sound. How can this be fixed?
Also do you get really slow charging from the USB's and is there a way to improve this? Plugging my phone into the USB actually drains it rather than charges it.

I'm considering this unit for my father's car. He's having the MMI version, which I assume, has digital output through MOST.
Does this unit also have a digital output, which can be plugged to the MOST ring, thus having a full digital path in the audio signal? Or is the output analog, and the converted to a digital signal through some sort of MOST-converter box?
I ask because usually, the latter, results in much lower audio quality. If possible, I'd like to prevent that.

great vids, really useful. My Q5 2019 now has a new screen but with the extra wiring loom under the glove compartment I simply can't get the glove compartment back into place. If I fit the compartment first I then can't slide the cd changer in, if I install the cd changer in first, then I can't install the glove compartment. tips would be appreciated.
I only have sound if I plug my phone directly into the can harnesses audio out :( for some reason the actual unit won’t “talk to” the Ami on its own even with CarPlay on and with the can aux out connected to the Ami unit. I have to have the Ami plugged in connected to nothing, and then have to plug my phone into the can audio out instead!!! This wouldn’t be an issue but I can’t get any volume from any of the other apps on the unit doing this :(. Any suggestions? I’ve tried everything it feels like
You mentioned about problems with sound, Sometimes when I'm on the Android screen the sound is choppy when playing music. If press media where it shows an Aux connection on screen under external device, you can see it saying no device connected at times, then switching back to connected. Do I need to tape up that aux connector you showed at 8mins 33?
Also my normal MMI screen flickers at times, is this where the cable connects into the back of the headunit?

Hi, thanks for the great video! I’m having an issue with a similar device and could use your advice.
I connected an aftermarket hazard switch to my Audi, which is an EU version without the option to disable the passenger airbag and has a one-piece original switch. I followed the guidelines and connected everything without the hazard light splitter cable since mine is a one-piece switch. However, the airbag light comes on whenever I start the car. Do I still need a splitter cable, or is there something else I can do to get rid of the error?
Did u figure it out? I didnt do anything to the airbag, only turned it off with the key when I took off the glove box and the airbag light still there. I think maybe its a problem with the hazard lights switch
I have the same issue with the passenger airbag warning light comes on and fault code when I scan it. I used the old hazard switch and then looped to new hazard switch but still same issue

The original screen in our Q5 stopped working (navigation & back up cam worked, but Bluetooth & radio stopped working).
My husband used this video and the video of the Q5 to install this screen on our Q5.
The screen initially worked, but while my husband was setting up the device, it went black and won’t turn back on. Any ideas if this is an issue with the screen itself or something with the electrical components of the car?

Hi mate just a few questions before I buy got an Audi a4 concert with no reverse camera but I have sensors, if I set it to OEM reverse camera on the android screen will the sensors pop up instead? Also how will I know my passenger airbag is off if it is hidden away and lastly why are you setting the external mic instead of the factory does this work better? Thanks

Hey I cant seem to fugure out whats the AMI version on my 2014 Audi A5 convertible...the Sw version is shown as 8R2035186P and HW is H06. the system is Audi Concert but it doesnt have Bluetooth...what can be done? Without knowing AMI version I am not able to buy a bluetooth adaptor for it.

I have in a 2015 Q5 and i wanted to pull the trigger on this but im concerned about any support that deals with some of the issues that are brought up in these comments.

Hey man, I just replaced my 2020 model with this one, and came across a massive issue. Left the old wiring in the place and connected the new unit. Once just the ignition is ON, everything is fine, but as soon as I'm starting the engine it goes crazy, the screen goes blank then it is showing me something from the reverse camera, that is not installed yet, and goes like that on and on. When on the motorway seems to be ok, but as soon as I'm slowing down in to the estate does that again. Can you please help me. Thank you!
Forgot to mention that I have replaced the wiring with a brand new one, and the issue is still here
Hello just after abit of advice I’ve installed an android auto screen in my Audi a5 but it keeps switching for external audio to jukebox then you can’t hear any music just wondered if you was able to help.
Profile settings based on user profile. Resave it with it defaulting to AUX and it should work correctly.

@@rancho881 I believe the kit works off the AUX audio input so if you have some other audio input saved in your driver profile memory, it will default back to that. If you want it to stay in AUX when you first start the car, then save your memory driver profile settings again.
What if I'd like to keep my original OEM display and only would like to only add carplay?? No android auto or nothing just the carplay

My audi is having the same type of hazard light as shown in the video. Need to check whether one end is connected to old hazard light or not.
Remove the wire from new hazard switch and give it to old switch or in your Y split wire. U need to cut the orange and white colour wire. Then it will work.

Airbag light is on because your vehicle has a passenger air bag light under the hazard button but this unit only has hazard button. I believe you need to purchase another splitter in order to connect your air bag light and then just tuck it in the dash somewhere. This light being disconnected is causing the light to go on.

Hi mate, awesome video. One thing you didn’t cover is the sound quality of these modules after they’ve been installed. Do you get the same sound quality output? I have the B&O system. Love the sound it puts out but want CarPlay. Wanted to keep factory screen though. Could you tell me about the sound quality of your products please
Same sound quality, remember the car has AUX as standard, so it is designed to accept AUX signal and pump it through that amazing b/o sound system.
Hi. Hope you can help. I have no sound through the screen. Car mmi works and Bluetooth works but not screen (maps, Spotify, UA-cam) source doesnt recognise that ami is in.

I am having Audio problems after installation. I have an Audi Q5 2012 with Concert head unit and AMI (in glove box). When I don't hook the AMI adapter in sound doesnt work at all. When I plug in the AMI adapter but without connecting it to the wire harness that came with the new head unit- I get interference. When I plug it to the wire harness I get a loud screaching noise. When I unplug the AMI adapter I only get sound in the left speakers when using Google maps (not for music). Its so weird...

No ended up pulling it out and getting a refund
My mmi tells me AMI is not connected. Even my old AMI Bluetooth isnt recognized anymore. So i dont get audio out of the radio via aux anymore. Dont know how to fix this issue. Anyone fixed the same problem ? (Tried with the 3,5mm AMI and without)
I've got the same problem. Says AMI not connected so can't get any audio through it. Tried enabling it through green screen and rebooting but still didn't work.
