The pro three has the best scope in this example. The 7700 is so slow and the 7851 scope is lacks sensitivity. As far is just listening they all sound pretty equal.
For the money today.. Hands down if you buy the new model IC-7700 you have every thing in front of you. The price is down on them and it is the BEST on the market.
Thank you for demonstrating the 1.2 filter!! It does work well & still sounds pretty good on SSB. Did you run the calibration routine prior to engaging it?
On one Utube video, I saw a calibration/optimization operation that can be selected for the current mode of operation. I think it was a Ham Nation video.
Athos, I'll be getting my BRAND NEW IC-7700 this week or next week. With the instant rebate of $1,000.00 off and my IC-7600 trade in. I made out GOLDEN... You think the IC-7700 will look good between my (2) IC-775DSP's? :0),,
this plastic cover on your screen will kill the screen as icom told me take it off since you lower the life of the screen soon you will need new new one for sure speak to icom see they will tell you the same it made only for the shipping before switch on you need to take them off .
That 1.2kHz must be much wider then 1.2kHz or it has an extremely poor shape factor, otherwise SSB would not be readable like what I heard. You should make use of RF gain and a slower agc setting. All three radios sound awful noisy with the 7851 being worse. I would go longer then one hour in a contest with such terrible sounding radios.
+MrTalaue Thank you for having viewed the video. The loud noise was due alo strong QRM present in 20 meters of roofing filter works very well and also keeps a good response in ssb hello
+Athos Pellizzola Yes, I agree that the response in SSB is very good, but that is only possible when the filter is wider then 1.2kHz btw. having a very wide skirt. With a typical shape factor of 1.5 it would not be possible to hear SSB that natural.
The scope on the pro three sure shows signals a lot better than the other two radios
Terrific station fantastic 73 from kb2uew
hello, icom ic 7700 no one entered the pre ... compliments however for the video, very nice ... Roofing de best 7851
Hai perfettamente ragione il roofing filter del 7851 non ha paragoni iao
One suggestion is to switch to a consistent external speaker. Anyway, good comparison.
three beautiful radios with bad receivers. The only good thing is the 1.2kHz roofing filter on ic7851
7851 noisier due to pre amp #1 switched on, on 7700 pre amp off.
+600f4 You're right the preamp. the Icom 7700 was off 73 Ik4mee
YOUR RÁDIO IS BEAULTIFUL!!!

You're right, my friend 73

I would say you're right
Interesting comparison. IC7700 been in a very dusty environment. IC7851 contrast and brightness way too high. i run my IC7700 at 50% and it is fine.
Is the 7700 and 'was in Egypt I agree with you hello
Фантик!
The Icom 7700 had No PREAMP engaged--- and the 7851 and the Pro 3 had preamp 1 engaged!!!!
Yea that’s so unfair!!!!
better the Ic 756 pro III
your lower your life of the screen by not removing the plastic cover
povero 7700... almeno dovrebbe essere lui sotto a tutta quella polvere!! :D :D :D
E' stato ripulito alla fine purtroppo viene da un tour non indifferente hi ciao
rapporto qualita prezzo senza ombra di dubbi ic756pro3
Sono d'accordo
7700 !!!!
Radios are filthy why even worry about a screen protector .
the radio comes from the desert, then it will be completely cleaned
Hey u need to redo this and TURB OFF PREAMPS!!!!!
the preamplifiers are not setted on the same position... 7851 PRE 1, 7700 PRE OFF, ... Not the way to make a comparison hi hi hi...
