Throughout my teaching years, I experienced many different school nurses and most of them were dragon ladies 😅haha. No frills, here’s an ice pack, get back to class. I believe they were so swamped in paperwork, physicals and records that it overpowered them many times. That’s why this role play is so refreshing. Demonstrating kindness and compassion, knowing how to calm a little one that is scared (so important) and reassuring them. Following procedure but still maintaining that human touch. One of my favorite parts is that phone call - hard to make and hard to receive, especially as parents to young students. I love how you portrayed that situation with a gentle, matter of fact, clear and reassuring way for the parents. The parents also need this excellent bedside manner, not just the child. ❤ Very well done.

Wet paper towels were the go to for my school nurse 😂😂😂
That's what I do in the classroom for most boo boos and I have gone through loads of bandaids for those microscopic cuts that they make such as big deal about. #Teacherlife@@whaat01

You nailed this one! So many great elements. If our school had a nurse like this our kids would be finding every excuse to come visit you. LOL! I thought the phone call home was sweet. ❤ I had to laugh when you said you'd expect to walkers to come back soon. Had this been real those walkers would have been back so fast. 😂😂😂
That was sweet. If it's not PE it's recess. Those kids are wild. The amount of kids that I've had to send to the nurse from outdoor recess is insane.
Then there's my own kids...
I was half expected to be “treated” with a mint or a bandaid, some melted ice in a paper towel for my head and a 5 min nap. 😂 I really enjoyed the thoroughness and the caring gestures of how you depicted a school nurse. Wish most were kind like this and maybe there are some who are like this but in my experience I didn’t have this. However, my fair share of nice nurses were few but not really concerned with anything. The keyboard trigger sounds was such a nice head scratching sound and on top of that I liked how you made it seem someone was leaving the room too which I assume Megan was your special effects person on that haha I could be wrong but other than that I enjoyed this video. Just calm and soft spoken! 💙
One of my scariest moments as a teacher was when one of my preschoolers was running and tripped, falling head first into a concrete barrier. Stood up, stumbled and couldn’t tell us her name, where she was, anything. I certainly could’ve used a nurse like this, not only to take care of her, but to comfort me as well! I was more of a mess than she was! As always, awesome job! ❤

This was great! Takes me back to PE class in the late 80’s/early 90’s-rope climbing, parachute, and those square wooden scooters that you could run over your hand with if you weren’t careful (and sometimes if you were careful 😊).
These days it's dodgeball. Not dodgeball as it's meant to be played, those little kids are out for blood. 😂. They don't mess around! Even some of the middle school kids make it their mission to knock each other out. 🤷♀️
I remember those scooters too! Last year I had a kindergartenee get a big goose egg during PE. The coach had them playing field hockey on the court. Let's just say the kid's head met the hockey stick pretty hard! I picked up the class and the coach hadn't even sent the kid to the nurse yet 😮😬 Off to the nurse he went with two walkers.

Its ok It happens i dont think having a the welding hode rack which is the helmet you see them use fall of the wall and land on you is normal had a good amount of pain in my back and the nurse gave me a heating pad to lay on for a bit meanwhile im completely unconscious and the school couldn't really do anything because my emergency contact couldn't be reached after one call
