My husband and I love both channels...Early American and Frontier Patriot. We both love the drama episodes and eagerly await each new enstallment. Now that we know about the Samson Historical channel I shall watch you with great enjoyment.
OMG! I am just so HAPPY for you, two Justine & Ron! 🥳🇺🇸🥳🇺🇸 You two are AWESOME, living your lives to the FULLEST! I enjoy Samson Historical, and my son and I have bought items from them. There are very HIGH QUALITY items they have. Thank you for SHARING YOUR JOY and HAPPINESS with your viewers! ❤ God Bless you all! I can't wait to order some more items from Samson Historical. Also, my husband, me, and our oldest son watch your channels, Ron and Justine. ❤ P.s. yes, Ron, we, the viewers, DO LOVE the skits you and Justine and the others put on. I love it. Keep them coming. ❤
I was at a reenactment of the Fench and Indian war at Fort Ligonier PA. I stopped and watched for a while as family's camped and cooked, kids ran and played some of them spoke french and I watched a guy shaving in a mirror nailed to a tree. I can still smell the horses and the camp smoke in the air.
Glad to see more of this collaboration. I always enjoy watching Justine and Ron and following their stories and adventures! And welcome Early American to Indiana!
Ron is so giddy. Like many others, I love their channels. Their channels have really blown up. Rightly so and it’s exciting. It’s gotta be hard to not let things go to their heads. I’m sure they’ll just keep their eyes on what they love to do!
I totally agree with you about dresses. They are cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter with leggings under a warm skirt. Thank you for this videos guys. I loved it!
I adore Justine and Ron! They are the real deal in all if their videos. They need a Samson Historical registry for us trapped in the 21st century! xoxo
I look at it as the fact you are helping to make the time machine for us to catch glimpses of what is was like living in the past in reality. You help capture the imagination. Thank you for sharing all you do and educating us.
Hi, Patricia! Nice to "meet" you through my UA-cam faves Justine and Ron. Thanks for keeping the history alive through material objects and clothing. Love it all! Best of luck to your business.
What a fun and interactive learning situation in historical recreations!! I love history because of all the genealogical work I do for friends and my family. I try to envision what their lives were like, and now I have a more accuarate picture by watching you on your channels. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Note to self in next life: find a guy who will make me an authentic potato masher, bring me a bouquet of wildflowers & takes the time to find out what I like. He’s a keeper🥰👍👍
I was glad to see Ron reunited with his long-lost sister. And you're right, Justine - how dare viewers of your cooking channel critique your cooking skills? 🙂
A totally enjoyable conversation. I so like the fact that younger Americans are appreciating now the things that older generations used and kept. There are just so many classic items that lasted down through the years. The ability to build a fire and regulate temperature enough to cook something edible. Using timeless cast iron items as you mentioned, pottery, wooden utensils. I love crockery myself and I love the old mixing bowls. I also wanted to say off-grid enthusiasts and young folks may find all the things you are learning and have put into practice may serve you well in the near future, more than you might realize now. These are survival skills. I think we are looking at big change a'comin' and a lot of people are not going to be ready. You also are educating so many. You are to be congratulated for using your minds and talents, bravo I say ,and thank you. Love you guys!!!
I've been watching you for a long time but this is my first comment. I LOVED this. The telling of your process, your histories, and especially how you met was wonderful! Thank you.
Justine, when you mention a beautiful shot of s simple bunch of pears, that is the essence of art. You don't need giant mountains or a Venice canal scape to make good art. All you need is a simple bunch of pears.
we love your channel Justine and Ron..we love our antiques and the earlier the better..thank you for helping preserve our history..I love Samson and wiuld love to order more..they have great candles....plus they are from our state of Indiana😊 Becca M
I love your channels. Y'all are the sweetest couple❣️ can’t wait until y’all get married and get into your home. Thank you for teaching us about early Americans. ❤
Such a lovely conversation! I got to know more about Justine and Ron, and first time to learn about Samson Historical! Thank you for being a gracious host Abbey Samson! It is whimsical, intriguing and inspiring to learn about the artistic and the useful and practical objects from the past you talk about.
This video is so amazing! I love the collaboration with Samson! I also loved learning even more about your history as a couple and in the area. Thank you so much and I’m glad you got to meet💖💖
Please tell me that I am the only one that thinks the girl in the middle looks like a painting? I swear the color and her facial features are just perfect for a painting. I hope I’m not the only one that sees it !
When you were talking about the Bicentennial commemorative things - it reminded me - I do have several Bicentennial canning jars with the Liberty Bell design on them. They're currently full of last summer's tomatoes and sitting on the pantry shelf. :)
I remember meeting the Samsons years ago at Hartford City Civil War Days. I was so intrigued watching them make leather drinking vessels. I've been watching Ron and Justine for about 2 years and they quickly became my favorite channel. Watching this video brings things full circle for me.
@@SamsonHistorical probably closer to 10 years ago if I'm not mistaken. I was just getting into leatherwork back then and thought it would be cool to make a leather tankard. I still haven't made one but when I get a chance I'll have to finally do it.
Justine & Ron represent the true heart of Good American people that have an authentic good passion for something (wether a hobby or a craft) but putting their whole heart into it passionately with purpose & authenticity & simple enjoyment vs just for trying to monetize. The realness their hobby has become lead to a well enjoyed labor of love bringing monetary income. You all have wholesome values with genuine charisma, gift of gab, & ability of heart connecting with others when speaking of your passion with all things 17th & 18th century. All other folks you've had on your channels or collabed with otherwise...all have been well chosen unique genuine interesting authentic good people who have a true depth & deep interest expressed well to draw a viewer in. Wether those who have the same passion for keeping historical periods, crafts, traditions/ways of life, & historic objects all kept alive in the modern world, or just sharing colonial re-enactment stories. The lady here working for Samson historic store, I also commend her gift of gab & asking wonderful questions while explaining your historic business. You have a natural ability drawing a viewer in, & connecting with your guests as you too have passion for your job & historical accuracy etc as well. Thriving in a job within your niche of what you enjoy & creating wholesome connection with Ron & Justine doing the same. So I enjoyed this video. And Ron/Justine getting you to connect & talk about yourself as well. One of the things the American culture has lost over the years is genuine human connection vs superficial hosting etc where as the older days it was genuine care to create lifelong community friendships & fellowships & get to know others genuinely. So Ron and you met during Corona it sounds like, and it explains a lot about when you started and when your videos you know how come they became so popular so many people were staying home and had nothing else to do but you know watch what there was to watch which wasn't a whole lot and you guys gave them something that they could try out, especially if like me you're into cooking your granny stuff and you want to see what it's going to look like when it's done.
I use to work for a renactors clothing company and fell in love with the time periods clothes. Your clothes are beautiful. I love Justine and Ron and their channels. I have learned a lot from them. Thank you for having them help you out and talking with them.
Justine you and I share a whole lot in common I grew up mostly in Central America where my father was the civilian chaplain working for the military, so when my father would have to go to a base that was pretty far away but still within the country were in like but other side of the country I would sometimes go with him so when I came back to America I felt like an alien from another planet I had grown up with also with my father going and seeing some of these old archaeological sites but the most interesting thing about it was that we periodically had to go to Europe and so I got to see a lot of the different architecture there and the kitchens were so different and everything was pretty much different I learned my my perfume and cosmetics making when I was 5 years old and observing and listening to tourist how this was how it was made and how these herbs were mixed in for different remedies and how these were basically whether she knew or not the nun said everything and I listened as little pictures do with their big ears and I started making my first perfumes and cosmetics when I was in third grade, I made my first perfume because my parents wouldn't allow me to chip in with all the kids to get the teacher a present they insisted my parents insisted because they're European that I make it from scratch myself they had no idea what I would make but they figured better to make something my mother just didn't understand much of what goes on in the United States or for that matter what goes on in in a normal American setting, and that's how I made my first perfume.
I think I've been dressing like an 1800 woman for a lot longer than 30 years closer to really 40 now that I think of it I was a member of the SCA and early American comes in just just at the end area of that society for creative anachronism and back then I used to have to sew all my clothes by hand because there was no clothes around that were made by other people that would fit me so I've been sewing by hand which according to my auntie who is a Taylor my needlework was so good on my skirts Etc that she was surprised to realize that they were hand-stitched.
You two ladies in Ron remind me of my daughter who says there is nothing better for breakfast in a good cake or a pie... Thankfully she's not as big as I am.
I'm so proud of you Justine and and Ron, and thank you Samson Historical for showing Hoosier hospitality.
The imperfections are why I was initially drawn to Justine's channel. It feels real, and brings the history closer.
Thank you, Samson Historical, for interviewing Ron and Justine. It was great.
I completely loved the silence in Justine's videos. It made it authentic for me. I am quiet when I cook alone, it is beautiful.

You tell them Justine, ❤ your show is really good.
