Hi. This brightened my day and it’s something I can “play with” as I learn about polymer clay. Thank you. I look for your videos daily & I am grateful for your work & tutoring.
Thank you 💕
Again...gorgeous! Please don't ever stop your faux stones videos! They are my favorite and I'd NEVER tire of them! ❤
Deb, 1st I absolutely love your voice and accent, and your very casual/conversational chat/dialogue with us as if were actually in your studio with you! LOVE IT! Don't ever change.
2nd, I love all your faux techniques and that you share them with us. (btw, I love Clay Zoo too).
3rd, amethyst is my birthstone so these are perfect! And, I love anything purple! lol
Thank you very much! 😍
These turned out gorgeously! I think I'll try this today! Love love the translucency of these. My spirit is crying out for clay! :) Thanks!
I actually love the look of them not having resin on them. Surprized me because I do like shiny things. But I felt like they resembled a real crystal more. I collect crystals and lots are shiny but a little flatter shine is what most seem to have depending on the stone itself. But you always do a wonderful job. I really appreciate you showing us your work. Thanks ..... Tammy
These came out super cool looking! This may sound weird but watching the way you move your hands is pretty cool. You look like you’ve been doing this for a long time and have developed artistry skills for shaping.
Thank you! That doesn’t sound weird, at all. I think that’s a lovely compliment 💜
Beautifully done! Thanks for another brilliant tutorial!
These are great Deb, they almost remind me of Ametrine, with the trans being on the yellowish side.
Thank you again for a fun tutorial 🙏💐💗
I'm just loving these so much! Thanks for sharing the process with us!
Definitely resined. Amethyst is my birthstone and I love it.
Thank you Deb.
I've been watching for a long time. I think I have finally got the courage to try. Thanks for easing me into this. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent.
Deb, these are just beautiful...thanks so much for sharing. Your tuts are invaluable.
Thank you 🤍
Great video and love the process! Thank you so much for sharing with us!!
These are fab! I really like the little marks on the surface - adds to the effect. Thanks for sharing
You are a FANTASTIC teacher. Thank you so much for your tutorials.
You’re welcome 💜
Wow. Stunning. So grateful to you for sharing your talents
💕
Beautiful! Thank you!
Both versions looks gorgeous! :) 💜💜💜
What beautiful stones Deb. I watched your tutorial at 3 am because I simply couldn’t wait until morning to see how you made these unique stones. Your talent is impressive and truly remarkable. Thank you for another beautiful tutorial. Keep safe and well 🤗
It's very beautiful. Thank you very much.
These turned out beautiful ❤️. Amethyst is one of my favorite stones. I cannot pick a favorite between the resin vs buffed, they are both stunning.
Thank you ❤️
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰 my attempt at this technique turned out BEAUTIFULLY thanks to you 😘😘😘😘
Amazing, you took an idea , and elevated to up so many levels 😍
Love this technique and it looks like fun!, Thank you for this tutorial, I think it might work with other colors too.
Really beautiful
Beautiful, thank you
So very pretty! Amethyst is my birthstone 💕
Love Amethyst ❤ 😍 these are gorgeous 😍
Pretty pretty love it, thank you for the video
Awesome Deb. These are so very pretty
😘
Thank you. Its very beautiful
I totally LOVED this one! Those turned out so amazing! I gotta try it myself. 💕
💕❤️
So easy looking, wonderful finish. I love the resin shine, and the way it brings out the lovely colours. I could watch you all day, but that does not get anything made. The choppy one you did gold and silver, I spilt my paint, it was quite thin, so not as good a result. We live and learn. Thank you for your efforts. X
Beautiful!
😘
Beautiful 😍 I love them
Beautiful job. Amethyst is such a pretty stone. I liked the pieces that were buffed the best, although the ones with resin were really pretty too. Thanks for another fun tutorial.
I hear you about the weather. So cold!
You’re welcome!
I can definitely say the resined is scrumptious, the mat look good but the resin wow factor. Tfs hugs
I agree! The resin ones are my fave!
Those are beautiful
Thank you
I love them.. my favorite stone..yours are beautiful ❤
Thank you 💕
Thanks for your videos. You r so good. I hope one day I can do the things with clay as you do.
Beautiful ❣️
Thank you! 😊
😍😍😍😍I like it! 👍👍👍👍👍
So very pretty 😍😍😍
Very beautiful and I can tell that you're a great artist.....you really get into it....."multicolored" hands!!! LOL!!! THANK YOU for showing us how to make amethyst. I love the stone and am amazed by the intricate detail that you put into making it.
Thanks!
Hi Deb, we here in USA are experiencing the same weather patterns. Thank you, Luv, for this tutorial.
I am in the USA 😀
Beautiful Deb. I tried my first Larimar a few days ago following your technique. I haven’t ‘finished’ them yet, but was really pleased with how they came out 😀 Love your videos. Definitely trying this one. X
I loved the colours in these and had a go myself last week - however, did not have the right colours - too impatient to get them so went with what I had. Mine were too pink. Lesson learned. Get the right colours!!
Love this one to bits❤💜❤💜💙
Thanks ❤️💕
Thanks Deb, another superb tutorial, and beautiful jewellery. Gorgeous colours. We have weird weather too, in the UK. Saturday was really warm and sunny, and cold and pouring with rain yesterday!! I'm going to a funeral tomorrow, so I hope it won't be raining. I love your videos and always look forward to watching them. Hope you don't get any more snow - I have a pal in Indiana, and he sent me photos of snow there. Hurry up Summer eh. Bbfn, take care. xx
💕❤️
Bravo!!!
There are beautiful 😍
Muito lindo, adorei! 🇧🇷
Wunderbar 🥰
Love the color. You can sharpen your blades on the bottom of a China mug or cup, there are UA-cam videos to help
Resin is my favorite 🥰
I thinks it’s mine, too. I always like to try it both ways, but yeah, in this instance, resin wins!
❤️
What an interesting technique! This is fascinating and the results gorgeous. Thanks for sharing ❣GreyWing
This is aazing
Georgous thanks sharing your video ❣you're so nice🌞👍👏
I also like using a texture roller on the back of the mold, so that there’s a bit of dimension to the back of the pendant
I don’t use textures on the back of faux stones.
@@clayboutique I guess that would take away from the “stone” effect lol. I was just looking at the use of the mold😊
OMG J'adore cette fausse améthyste et je préfère sans résine. Merci beaucoup 🍷
I prefer the ones with resin, too.
Thank you 💕
Sorry Deb! They are beautiful and technique I think could adapt to other faux stones love it! 😘
It’s ok!
Thanks.
Yes, you could easily change the colors!
Beautiful! 💜
Your recent weather sounds like you live next door. Lol
I'm in T R Mi
I’m in Ohio!
Also, my birthstone 😁
You are VERY talented at making clay look like the real thing! These are really beautiful! Aside from the weight differential, I don't see anything that would give it away! Thanks for sharing this method if recreating amethyst. I can't wait to try it!💜🤍
Thank you 😊
Great tutorial, steps very well explained. Clay zoo is wonderful, I watch whenever er he posts. I have a question..when mixing different types of clay I hear that you bake at the highest, but can't is considerably lower than premo. What did you bake at, and lol, what do you know about mixing clays
Cernit is only 10 degrees lower than Premo, and doesn’t seem to harm it when baking at 275. I wouldn’t mix Cernit with Fimo, for example. But mixing Cernit and Premo is fine, and baked at the higher temp. You need to bake it at the higher temp, otherwise Premo wouldn’t be fully cured at 265.
It's Dec. Just watched this video. You weather comments made me laugh. Here in Texas, in the summer, with the hat index the temp is somewhere between OMG & WTF.
This was recorded in April, so I have no recollection of my weather references.
I'm a beginner and the translucent premo I got is crumbly. What's your best way to soften. I've tried mineral oil, petroleum jelly and even a few drops of Glycerin. I dont have a hobby store near me. I do wonder if the Sculpey clay softener is a must have.
I just learned I need to bake longer to stop breakage.
I love your channel and have learned a lot in a short time.
I personally use the clay softener.
For your pieces not to break, it’s not the baking longer, though I always bake longer than recommended on the package, it’s to bake at the correct temperature. Your oven might read 275, but it’s not actually 275. If the temp is lower than it needs to be, the piece won’t fully cure and will be brittle and easy to break. Use an oven thermometer to check your oven temp.
You can leave a piece in the oven for hours, without it burning, as long as the temp is correct. You can leave it in for hours and it not be fully cured if the temp was too low.
I always bake for longer because it’s just better to be safe than sorry, IMO. I usually do an hour for a typical pendant/earrings.
@@clayboutique Thanks for the information. When I put the in for over 40 min they did better. I've got to find my thermometer in my appliance repair tools.
Well done. Maybe the whiter translucent might show the fractured look more? 🐨
The light shows the fractured look, I just don’t have a means to get the light behind the piece.
Hi, love all your videos. Is there a transparent that isn’t so yellow? More clear? Thanks.
I use several different clays in my videos, and yes, Cernit, Pardo and Premo white translucent are clearer.
💗💜💗💜💭👍😊
I think you mentioned the blue molds you used in this video are not currently available. Do you know of an alternate with similar properties? They look very flexible, almost sponge-like but smooth if that makes sense. And they seem to release well.
Sorry, I don’t know of anywhere else that has something similar
Etonnant de réalisme.
ohhhhh!?! Deb, what about using some of both Premo and Cernit trans?
There’s no reason why you couldn’t do that 💕
Try polymer clay superstore. That's where I get my premo
I meant I couldn’t find trans, not Premo as a whole.
Last time I looked it was limited stock!
Great tutorial! Where do you get those molds?
Yaroslav molds, in Russia, but his shop is closed down.
@@clayboutique bummer, but thank you 💜
How long do you bake for? I know you said 45 or an hour, isn't most 15 minutes at 275 in the oven? Thanks and love your videos...xoxo
Ummm…45 mins to an hour lol
Always bake longer than what it says on the packet.
Besides, most clays state 30 mins, not 15.

How did. You learn to make all the different types of stones with clay.?
I just sit down and figure it out.
Wow I don’t think I could ever do that.
You’d be surprised. Everyone starts off the same way. I watched as many tutorials as I could, got all the techniques under my belt. Then it’s a matter if working out WHICH techniques work for different designs.
Lovely 😊
Put a hole at the top , pinch bail ! 🤟🏻❤️💋🥰
Yes…it’s what I usually do…
Thanks!
This was just amazing and beautiful gemstones! I’m having trouble finding the Cernit Metallic violet in the Dallas, TX area. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Can I add some sort of medium to a vermiş non-metallic to make my own metallic?
Everything is linked in the description.
Thank you
@@clayboutique thank you. I didn’t see the last link for some reason. It took me to online stores. I’m hoping I can find a store front in my area, so I can just try a little bit to see if I am able to make stones, like you do.
I have no idea what stores in Texas would carry Cernit. Most people order from Blueberry Beads, as per the link.
Where did you get the molds?
From a shop on Etsy that is now closed.
Cernit, not 'can't ' auto correct is soon annoying, I wish it could be disabled
