I’m so sorry I’ve been absent! Life has been a little crazy the last couple of months so I’m trying to recover a bit. I do have some news… on March 17, my partner of nearly 10 years brought me my favorite cup of Starbucks with “WYMM” written on it and an engagement ring attached to it! I said yes! This is a big deal for me as he is the first I’ve ever said yes to (long story). The “finishing touches” portion of the “making of” section at the end shows the new ring if any of you are interested in seeing it. 😍💍
I hope you all are well and I hope you enjoy one of the classics from my youth. There are certain songs across many genres that will always be a staple for me; this is definitely one of them. I have three songs I’m juggling with for the next project. Visit the community section of my page to vote for your choice and help me decide! www.youtube.com/@WonderMommaOG/community
Thank you all, as usual, for being here!
Congrats!!! Super happy for you! ❤
@@JesseJames7-8-9 Thank you so much!
Congratulations! What an appropriate song then huh? 😁🥰
Congrats! 🎉 Been wondering where you've been!
P.S. I *love* all of the facts you added in the more section! I never knew any of that!
Lets make one thing clear here...
EVERYONE over 50 can bust out these lyrics from a dead ass sleep at 4am. 🤣💯
Young MC was a MONSTER rapper when this shit hit. 💯
Truth.
god yes, i loved that whole album!
🤣🤣🤣
Try anyone born before 80
I can’t hear this song without remembering an awkward 8th grade dance where all the guys are on one side, girls on the other. And nobody busted a move. At all 😂
Ooof that's rough. I'd be dancing like crazy 😂😂
Not even a small one? 🤣
@@cainealexander-mccord2805 Shoot man, it was in Utah in the early 90’s. Just a bunch of Mormons wishing they weren’t. Everyone knew the lyrics, but saw the chaperones listening and watching like hawks. Looking back it was kinda sad.
@@JesseJames7-8-9 Wow. Sorry about that. "Here's a dance, now go don't have fun!" Bummer.
Like Poindexter? 😅
FLEA of the Red Hot Chili Peppers was playing the bass and killing it!
Oh, Flea is always killin' it!
OMG didnt know that thank you
Oh yeah. Just like Dave Grohl and Slash, Flea has appeared in many other forms of media. He even had a stint as a voice actor for The Wild Thornberries with Tim Curry as Donny.
I forgot that Flea did the bass line for this song! No wonder it is so fun.
Raise your Hands if you know that Flea from RHCP is slapping Bass in this song. 🙌🏻
No ...I did NOT know that❗ Thanks for facts. And he killed it❗
That over-exaggerated head banging, who else could it be??? Lol
Lol, if you close your eyes and just hear the bass you know it’s Flea… alternately, if you can’t hear him but see him off in the distance you know it’s Flea.
In my top 3 bassists. Love him! 🤘🏻🔥🖤
This is one of those songs that is timeless.
"No super guitar" Dude, someone tell that girl the baseline was done by Flea.
Oh this was heard at EVERY Senior party!! It's just so good. I could actually dance then...and had HAIR...#longlivethe80s
How can you not bust-a-move listening to that grove. Excellent choice. Just makes you want to move. 😊🕺🤸♀️🕺
This was the ultimate dance song when I was I was in high school.
Back in the 1990 seeing a sentra slammed with daytons booming this track like an earthquake I thought it was sporty as hell.
I know every word to this song. 😂😂😂😂 and I was born in the 60's
Bustin a move with that Blue Jays hat on, cheers from Toronto, home of the Blue Jays & the greatest music in the musical universe
Love the music video. The greatest pair of pants of all time!!
The META level of these reaction compilations is massive. Here are the steps. 1. Love the song 2. Love the time when it originally came out. 3. 30 years passes. 4. Wonder what today's youths think of "our music." 5. Watch all the reaction videos separately and enjoy it like you listened with a friend, full of nostalgia, tears and happiness. 6. Get all of those reactors together for a mega party and that's how it's done!
F yeah! There are others out there (compilations), but I'd drifted away from them for some reason, glad I came across this channel. Seems extra-good, and the making of stuff (imagine the effort/time involved!) seems to have awesome potential as well.
As a solid Gen X’er this is on my playlist for when I’m doing my hair and makeup
Grew up with this, love seeing so many people discovering it for the first time. :) And I will never fail to crack up at the phrase "stone cold munchin".
Man....two for one special.....mash up and remix of For What It's Worth. Totally awesome.
I had no idea Flea laid the bass track, awesome! Takes me back to “Uncle Buck” 😊
It is nice to Flea offering his master bass talent in this one. This song will never get old. Thanks for sharing.
OMG!! One of my absolute favorite songs!!! The crazy head banging guitar player is Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I watched two of my sons slide dance to this song at my sisters wedding. They had dance partners all night😊
Neena Cherry is another hit female singer. I might have spelled her name wrong
God bless you
I'll bet my reaction during this song beats everyone's. My boyfriend forgot he hadn't actually asked me to marry him, so while Young MC was on stage knocking out this gem, my boyfriend dropped to his knee and asked...lol. The audience around us got a good laugh. We were married 7 months later.
Did I mention Young MC was opening for Milli Vanilli that night? So, there was that 🤣🤣🤣.
"Break it down!" OMG, what memories of my last year or two in college and this was inevitably, infectiously playing at parties! I often tried to remind myself to follow its wise, winking advice in those days and since, and have almost never regretted doing so, lol!
this was THE ssong when it came out. EVERYONE danced to this, even here in the sticks we loved it.
Such an under appreciated song! Great job on the production too!
Glad you're back, Momma. We missed you big time.
Great tune from back in the day, fun stuff!
🔥🔥🔥🔥You want it....you got it❗ Hey now....Real dance grooves back in the day🎵🎵🎵
Easy to forget how many tracks Flea has guested on.
RIP Matt Dike.
Thanks for the memory of this song. Sure was fun dancing to it and watching. Everybody’s an interpretation of how you should dance to this song.
Congratulations on your engagement may you be as happy through the course of your marriage as you both were the moment he proposed …❤❤🎉🎉✌🏽☮️🤲🙏
Thank you so much!
When HipHop was fun!
I still love that song. I have it on my gym playlist.
Flea from the red hot chilli peppers is playing the bass
I love the outro remix!!
This was the jam when I was a junior in high school.
Never get tired of this great jam
A different one this time. Certainly this would get some reactions.
Oh baby you got it! I busted and moved to this one! If I tried that now I would probably throw my hip out! What fun! Thank you for another song from this ole girls life playlist.... I could not stop chair dancing! LOL
Thank you for doing all that hard work 💜
Busted more than a move to this song a time or two back then...
In late 80s here in México there wasn't to much knowledge about rap, besadies the break dance fever of early '80s we only have heard about Fat Boys, Beasty Boys, Rum DMC and Public Enemy and that's it, very seldom played on the radio. Then in '89 there was a boom, a neighbour's cousins who lived in the USA and came to Monterrey started talking about LL cool J, Young MC, 2Live Crew, etc. Now I can't heard "bust a move" whitou thinking about Jennifer Love Hewitt dancing to it in "the client's list". And don't worry Wonder Momma, we all have been there too. Great work as usual, thanks 🙏🙏🙏
You all are young cause this didn't go anywhere for like 2yrs ... Same area toneloc sir mix a lot my guy was Kool Moe Dee just check his track out "I go to work"
The 80s were freaking 🔥🔥❤😄
He wrote Wild Thing and Funky Cold Medina for Tone Loc and decided to give singing a try himself. Anyway, this and Super Rhymes by Jimmy Spicer were two of my favorites to listen to over and over! If you've never listened to Super Rhymes do so!
This song comes on, my stereo gets cranked the FUCK UP (sorry for swearing, but it's the truth).
I have owned one rap CD in my life - this one.
Congratulations to you both on the engagement, glad you found the one you'd say yes to. 🙏👍
I have a request though, not sure if anyone has reacted to it at all. But I'd like to see you put something together for It Takes Two by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock
That one is definitely on my list... however, when I tried to use that song in one of my gaming videos it got blocked. I will definitely be checking to see if there are reactions to it when I get to that song on the list!
Thank you and hope you are well!
@@WonderMommaOG Oooh, I have another request. You remember Double Dutch Bus by Frankie Smith?? That would be super fun to watch
@@kaydee63 I do! lol I love that one. I will add it.
Great job as always. Thank you
Great song if my past
man, I haven't heard this song since, like, 1989.
Now make montage of TINA S many reactions, Eruption, or Comfortably Numb, or For the love of god, or Through the fire and flames , or the must : MOONLIGHT SONATA (from Beethoven shredder at the guitar). 200 000 000 views !
Love that you put the sample origin in too.
Haven’t heard Buffalo Springfield in a long minute.
Fantastic my friend , that's one from the dancehall days. Just so you know Lex just gave birth to Brads son Jack. You are still my favorite on you tube babe. Thanks can't wait for the next one 🎵🎹🎸🎶✌👏🎸😉🌷
OM gosh! That's great news! Thank you so much for being here Gary... appreciate you!
I have a suggestion for a compilation. James Blunt’s “Monsters.”
Eeyyy glad you are back. Also congratulations on your engagement. May you have many happy years in your eventual marriage! I'm surprised I never heard this song before. It's very catchy. You did a great job👍👍🤗 and I love the mashup you used in your making of the video section. Sound like something I'd make if I tried hard enough 😅😅
haha thank you! I actually thought of you when I found that. Hope you are doing well!
@@WonderMommaOG managing the best I can👍👍🤗
This song always reminds me of that scene from the show Scrubs, if you know you know 😅
I really like what you did with those mashups during the creative process in making this video, For What It's Worth.
Thank you!
every time i hear this song i think of Uncle Buck
I spotted Flea, what a trip
Intetesting reactors you used for Bust a Move....great mix it the end! 😊
There weren't a lot to choose from unfortunately... TY!
Love the end mix ❤
Very well done.
I was listening to this song when I was 14 yoa. Needless to say my parents weren't happy.
Happy to see a new vid!
Totally related to this song, check out "Found a Child" by Ballin' Jack and have your mind blown at the 1:46 spot on the track 😅
Congrats, and welcome back! I have to admit this song wasn’t one of my faves…I certainly heard it at the dance clubs, but Tone Loc was more my groove 😂
welcome back, stranger! 😋
and congratulations on your Starbucks! 😉
Haha thank you so much! Hope you're well!
Do Tone Loc, Wild Thing, please.
Been 400 years, hope your doing well.
hahahhahah lmao... all I can picture is that GIF of the older woman at the end of Titanic. "It's been 89 years". TY. 🤣
@@WonderMommaOG Yep, lol

I love it!

lol... I love her.
Had this cassingle 😂
🤣 Not the cassette with the full plastic case... Just the cardboard slipcover. hahah I remember those fondly. I had quite a cassette collection... but lost them in a move... I was SO upset but little did I know how easy it is to listen to anything today.
That's a "so much fun" song, right?

Hey I know it's been a little white, but keep uploading these! You're like the Daily Dose Of Internet but for music!
Thank you... I've been trying to keep at it. Life has been a little nutty this year. lol I honestly ready for things to settle down a bit. lol Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Who can resist this song?
hi could you do Deep Purple - Child In Time - Live (1970) sometime please
ua-cam.com/video/a2sQ5AReoVg/v-deo.htmlsi=CJemETUjguAKV-yU
To bust a groove you gotta bust a move lol I had wonderful friends with better tans and dancing skills for schooling me on picking up on the hotties. Gotta dance with them,,,
Obviously making people want to dance.
always! if it can make you move or feel something, its good stuff!
I dare you to not dance to this.
I miss the 80s, people just had more fun before the finger pointing grievance culture of today.
Had this CD. Young MC is in too large a group of hip hop fellas who were amazing and didn't get the success they should have like Kwame, Skee-Lo, Ahmad, etc... hard not to think of Uncle Buck when I hear this.
