The work you put in with Cordova is the best part (37:12); all your work with younger pitchers is fascinating to watch. It's the kind of selfless love for the game that slices through the negative publicity that swirls around you. Kudos to your production crew - they deserve better than 'tunnels' lol.
One of the things I love about watching these videos is watching Trevor work with other pitchers. It's so cool to see this work and see Trevor trying to help others be better. Sharing knowledge and experience. Love to see it.
That convo with Ronnie was very nice to see. A level of accountability that comes from peers (coach let a peer handle that, a respected peer) Understanding why he did it, but guiding him to a better decision and reminding him to lock in mentally.
Trevor asking if he needs an inning eater and the best response. That's why he's in charge, he knows you're trying to help, but he knows his job is to not let you ruin another outing in the future trying to do too much.
@53:31 That was awesome Trevor. You made a father happy he could do this for his sons, and you made his sons happy that Trevor Bauer took time to say something and acknowledge their existence. THAT right there, is a true MAJOR LEAGUE player that anyone should be happy to follow and mirror.
One of the things I find interesting is your schedule. You just hang out at the stadium, waiting for your day to pitch. Days go by hanging out, watching your team, and practicing. It is not something I had considered before this video, that the majority of your baseball career has been spent watching baseball. Great video.

I recall all of the bad press that Trevor Bauer received as a rookie in the MLB. Those reports actually made me a Trevor Bauer fan. I took notice when he questioned authority and chose to dictate his own development as a pitcher. I no longer pay attention to the media's opinions about him. He does but it doesn't look like a single team is willing to give him a shot. It's obviously collusion among the teams to keep him out, which is highly questionable legally when dealing with unions. This is headed for a groundbreaking lawsuit unfortunately.
Bauer is decent. He’s great at getting people to swing and miss. However, he has holes all over the rest of his game. His control is questionable and his fielding hasn’t been good. This is essentially a AA equivalent league talent-wise. If you put Bauer up against modern day big leaguers who won’t chase his pitches as much and he can’t rely as much on strikeouts, he will struggle. That’s not to say he can’t adjust and be serviceable, but that, combined with his difficult (at times) personality and unfounded but still sketchy off-field issues, is why teams haven’t gone after him. He could be a good high-leverage reliever, but I don’t think he’s mlb starting pitcher material anymore, and it sounds like he’s really only interested in starting. Heck, he could be a fantastic pitching coach.
@JohnMegaton2062 Doubt there will be a suit. Trevor will make an amazing pitching coach when he retires. I'm learning so much just watching these logs when he's helping the younger teammates and fellow pitchers.
Trevor strikes me as someone who’s at least slightly on the spectrum, and I think it explains a lot of why people think he’s “weird”. Man just knows what works for his brain, and his body, and trying to change that just causes him more harm than good. And now I’m looking at everyone who shit-talked his weird warm ups and mannerisms as maybe just being unaware, or being insensitive
He doesn't give me spectrum vibes. He just strikes me as someone hyperfocused on what works for him for his own success, because the most obvious thing in the world is that other people don't understand what's going on with your body exactly. They rely on you to explain it to them. So he knows himself and doesn't conform because it doesn't serve him well. Which is an affront to old heads who are scared of innovation that would give that 1% advantage. The hardest thing to do is not the improvement from 60-80%, but 97-98%. He knows that as well. But that doesn't keep pitching coaches employed. You hear a similar thing from the elite of elite all the time. They don't listen to conformists and rub people the wrong way, because their intuition is saying, that can't be what gets me the last percentage. It's not right. Mikel Arteta over in the soccer world is demonstrating that with some of his weird coaching techniques. No one considers him on the spectrum. They just think he's obsessed with winning and is looking for that final .1 or .7% that puts them over the line compared to others. And the players are buying into it because they are being coach individually. American sports are a bit behind in that regard.
@@nicklikethesoup yeah, self-focused and self-directed people often dont give a shit about social mores as much as autistic people do. I don't think they're the same. Autism would be more about how you handle involuntary stimulus.

I’m a Phillies fan and I feel like he would fit in perfectly. Highly doubt we would be interested though. We don’t exactly have the money to be paying for another great pitcher like Bauer. That’s would be amazing if it happened though.
@@zdinionyoutubeWell it can be. MLB teams pay their players using money from a variety of sources, including ticket sales, sponsorships, broadcast rights, merchandise sales, concessions, parking, and non-team events. So it all depends on how the team does and how much money they are willing to spend. Look at the Dodgers compared to the Athletics. The Dodgers get tons of fans and popularity, so they make way more money to spend on players. The Athletics get no fans and no popularity, so they never spend that much on players.
You see that? That's genuine love for the game. He ain't there to make money. He's there to play the game that he's given his life to. The game he loves probably more than almost anything. Guaranteed.

Proven innocent and possibly the best pitcher in the world playing on this kind of field. Thank you Trevor for loving baseball as much as you do my guy, best sports content on UA-cam and possibly the world. Thank God
Love that section where Trev was helping on the pitch throw. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Priceless information coming from inside the mind of one of the GOATs. Keep it coming! BAUER FOR BLUE JAYS!
Bauer to the Astros. HERE WE GO!
By far the best sports channel on UA-cam 👏
Watching every pitcher come to Trevor for help is so fire 🔥
Ponce and Trevor are like an old married couple when they talk😂. And then Ronnie’s like Trevor’s kid
Tervor fans in Kansas City are TOTALLY pushing for them to come get you bro. I would love to see you here.
Trevor I saw on diablos twitter that you’re healthy and back with the team, good to hear and looking forward to the next playoff series!
It’s fun watching Trev have fun. I can see him being a great pitching coach someday. But right now he needs to get back in MLB.
That’s not an ant …it’s a bird😂😂😂
At 18:10 “Daniel Ponce De LukeVoit”made me snicker 🤭
Trevor Bauer to the Phillies!!! I am trying to speak this into existence!!
I’m a Phillies fan and I feel like he would fit in perfectly. Highly doubt we would be interested though. We don’t exactly have the money to be paying for another great pitcher like Bauer. That’s would be amazing if it happened though.
@@PhillyPhilly248im sure money isnt the problem for any team, lol
We need him
@@zdinionyoutubeWell it can be.
@@PhillyPhilly248 He said he’d sign for minimum
Trevor seems so happy in Mexico. I didnt know so many Americans player were in Mexico.
You see that? That's genuine love for the game. He ain't there to make money. He's there to play the game that he's given his life to. The game he loves probably more than almost anything. Guaranteed.
Trevor is awesome and I want a team to grab him going into the playoffs. Love to see him get in a team that could win the world series with his help. Agree??
Trevor. We need u back in Cleveland. The trio of you, Bieber and Bibee would be elite and we would win a world series like how we should’ve in 16’
The tribes cursed. Shits never gonna work out for us.
The teaching moments of these vids are the best… I love baseball. Trevor you’re a baseball Einstein!
Hey Trev what the dancing monkees thing on the scoreboard behind you guys?? Is that a mexico thing? It looked hilarious. Also glad you're over your illness. It really showed in the 19k's! I keep telling you that you got a future as a pitching coach after your career. Today was a perfect example. Got my sword shirt on Friday, its🔥!!!
I loved the conversation with Lou. Funny how he acted a little mad when you said you were pretty much ok after your 19 k's
I think Trevor is thinking about his legacy more and more every day it is evident in the way he treats people and works with younger pitchers
Your videos are just so great to watch these day. Love it and look forward to them…….
