Hey, thanks for watching! We didn't change the cam This was shot during the "Covid" era and getting a cam would have taken 6-8 months or more. I wasn't able to leave the truck down for that amount of time. Check out the "Just Mopar Joe" channel for cam install videos and such: www.youtube.com/@JustMoparJoe
I think it was VHT Wrinkle Finish Black, should be available at your local Auro Zone, Advance or O'Rielly's. Yea, I always liked the wrinkle finish valve covers on the Hemis! Thanks for watching!
@ oh sweet, i actually have a couple cans in my shop lol. Thanks for responding! I just got a set of hedmans and was wondering what you thought about them?
Just had take off a little near the two center tubes. You can see the area at the 10:33 mark in the video. It may have been ok without it, but some minor grinding made made it better. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
There are cams available but the Throttle Body Injection system itself is a limiting factor on how much power can be made. The throttle body is rather small and doesn't flow too well. A lot of guys convert to a carb or aftermarket fuel injection. Thanks for watching!
It's been a while, but if remember correctly I tapped the holes for a 1/4" set screw and plugged them like this: ua-cam.com/video/DBYyxavPJ5E/v-deo.htmlsi=hF06MOYknoRZXnFt Thanks for watching!
Very nice sounds good 👍👍😊
Thank you 😋 Appreciate you watching!
Hello, I know this video is a couple years old, what cam shaft did you wind up using, and do you have a video of the process?

What bolts did you use for the headers ?
I think it's the bolts that came with the headers, but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I installed those.
Do you have a part number for the headers? I have an 87 dodge d150
Thanks for watching! These are the headers I used:

@@adonvonpanzern - They seem to be pretty good. A lot better fit than the Ebay headers I tried first
Did you plug the smog pump ports on the heads?
Yes sir, we did. If you look closely at 6:20 you can see them. Thanks for watching
What had to be clearances on the frame?

I’ve been told you can’t do much with TBI motor cam wise is that true ? I have an 89D 100
